A Real Army Wife!

ARMY WIFE TAKES 2 ORDINARY SELFIES THAT ENRAGE LIBERALS

The thing about the nation at large right now is we have a liberal media that looks to shape and fashion young children in the image of their God, and not the God so many conservatives love and follow.
The left has fashioned a god out of pleasure and hedonism and has tried to peddle their brand of religion to our kids. They’ve wrapped it up in enticing packages like entertainment and free condoms and birth control, and pretend that none of this is bad for our children or our culture.
Fortunately, as one young cultural warrior has pointed out, there exists a silent majority that is rising up, and she’s helping to lead the charge.
HollyFisherHobbyLobbyHolly Fisher took to Twitter a few months ago to show her support for all things conservative.
Posing in front of a Hobby Lobby with a Chick-fil-A cup while wearing a Pro-life t-shirt, Fisher has proven she’s willing to stand on the cultural front lines and is asking that others join her.
Fisher was quick to draw the ire of liberals, who despite their claims to the opposite, proved to be vicious and hateful to this proud and opinionated wife and mom.
Fisher didn’t know that her simple picture was going to blow up like it did. As she said in an interview at American Prosperity’s Defending the American Dream Summit, she intended to do it because she felt it was humorous.
“I like everything the picture represents — the religious freedom, the Christian values, but I didn’t think it would blow up the way it did–not at all.”
Screen Shot 2014-09-01 at 1.14.49 PMBut of course it would, when you try and take the liberals’ god of pleasure away from them, they will do everything they can to deride someone who represents good, conservative values.
So, just to give liberals a bit more fuel to the fire, Fisher posted another photo a few days later on the fourth of July.
This was the tipping point, as collectivists and progressives couldn’t handle so much freedom in 400×600 pixels.
As Fisher points out, this photo was for all the haters who were attempting to show that an American, gun-loving mother is somehow the same as an AK-47 jihadist.
[I did this] “to show them that I wasn’t going to just sit down and shut up.”
This is the kind of woman Americans need to see more of in the spotlight. Not celebrities who are going to take their clothes off for cash. But women who will stand up for liberty forever.

This Is One Of The Ways Democrats Will Steal 2014 Elections

Election-driven news and views . . . by Jim Geraghty.
Jaw-Dropping Study Claims Large Numbers of Non-Citizens Vote in U.S.

Text

This study’s claim is pretty eye-opening
Our data comes from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study (CCES). Its large number of observations (32,800 in 2008 and 55,400 in 2010) provide sufficient samples of the non-immigrant sub-population, with 339 non-citizen respondents in 2008 and 489 in 2010. For the 2008 CCES, we also attempted to match respondents to voter files so that we could verify whether they actually voted.
How many non-citizens participate in U.S. elections? More than 14 percent of non-citizens in both the 2008 and 2010 samples indicated that they were registered to vote. Furthermore, some of these non-citizens voted. Our best guess, based upon extrapolations from the portion of the sample with a verified vote, is that 6.4 percent of non-citizens voted in 2008 and 2.2 percent of non-citizens voted in 2010.
(Note that they keep using the term, “non-citizen,” without specifying whether they mean immigrants who have entered the country illegally or immigrants who are in the process of legally becoming citizens — lawful permanent residents, a.k.a. “green card” holders, or both. It’s a crime either way, but it’s easier to imagine a lawful permanent resident mistakenly thinking they have already earned the right to vote.)
If they mean 6.4 percent of 11 million illegal immigrants… we’re talking about roughly 700,000 votes being cast by non-citizens in 2008. Stunning. If true, it refutes my earlier contention that proven cases of voter fraud would only swing elections in races that come down to a few hundred votes.
But this section is fascinating:
We also find that one of the favorite policies advocated by conservatives to prevent voter fraud appears strikingly ineffective. Nearly three quarters of the non-citizens who indicated they were asked to provide photo identification at the polls claimed to have subsequently voted.
Is it really that a significant number of illegal immigrants now have a fake photo ID that looks realistic enough to fool voter registration and ballot box authorities? If that’s the case, it’s not really accurate to call them “undocumented immigrants,” now is it? More like “forged document immigrants.” Or is it that the poll workers manning the polling places that day aren’t really bothering to examine the IDs shown to them?
Keep in mind, people’s memories could be faulty. And we’re not dealing with a ton of examples from these interviews:
Of the 27 non-citizens who indicated that they were “asked to show picture identification, such as a driver’s license, at the polling place or election office,” in the 2008 survey, 18 claimed to have subsequently voted, and one more indicated that they were “allowed to vote using a pro- visional ballot.” Only 7 (25.9%) indicated that they were not allowed to vote after showing identification.

federal judge has dismissed on procedural grounds lawsuits filed by several tea party groups against the IRS, USA Today reported.

The judge, in his opinion issued Wednesday, stressed that he was not ruling on the merits of the cases filed by True the Vote and Lynchpins of Liberty, along with many other tea party affiliated organizations who had claimed that their petitions for tax status had been stymied or held up for greater scrutiny by the federal agency, which has been investigated by Congress amid targeting allegations.

"The court's opinion should not be interpreted as an assessment of the propriety of the alleged conduct by the defendants," noted U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton, who was appointed to the federal bench in 2001 by President George W. Bush.

Attorney Jay Sekulow, who represented the defendants in the Linchpins case, said they would appeal. He noted that many similar clients continue to have tax-exempt statusapplications held up by the IRS. Several have withdrawn because the process took so long.

"The decision by the court is disappointing," Sekulow, who serves as chief counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice, told USA Today. "However, it does not deter our efforts to seek justice for our clients."

Walton said issues before him in the cases were rendered largely moot after the IRS responded to concerns and status petitions were approved. He added: "Unless an actual, ongoing controversy exists in this case, this Court is without power to decide it."

Legal experts said the decision leaves future victims of possible IRS misconduct vulnerable.

“It’s a disappointing ruling because it basically leaves targets of bad behavior by the IRS without a remedy," noted Heritage Foundation Senior Legal Fellow Hans von Spakovsky, according to The Daily Signal.

“Given the unapologetic behavior of Lois Lerner and other IRS officials, and their total lack of remorse, I don’t think it’s speculative that this could happen again in the future,” he said.

Some Republican lawmakers, however, have pledged to take up the IRS issue anew if they regain full control of Congress, The Hill noted.

“Most of the oversight has, frankly, been taking place in the House,” said U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan, a vocal IRS critic who serves on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, to The Hill.

“You’re going to have more eyes looking at this issue, potentially twice as many hearings happening,” Jordan told The Hill. “That gives you that much more opportunity to get to the truth, in spite of the fact that the administration is not cooperating.”

President Barack Obama is "the weakest of U.S. presidents" and his time in the White House has been "humiliating," a top Iranian official said in an interview with the country'sFars News Agency, according to a translation provided to The Free Beacon.

"Obama is the weakest of U.S. presidents, he had humiliating defeats in the region," said Ali Younesi, senior adviser to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, in comments coming as the United States is trying to persuade his country to join the international coalition fighting against the Islamic State.

His words could also be a sign that the Rouhani regime does not intend to concede to the United States' demands concerning Iran's nuclear program.

U.S. Under-Secretary of State Wendy Sherman told Reuters Thursday that Iran will be considered responsible if a deal to curb the nuclear program is not reached in exchange for relief from extensive sanctions placed on the country.

The United States, along with Britain, China, France, Germany, and Russia have set a deadline of Nov. 24 for reaching a deal on the sanctions, and Sherman said Iran's best hope is to reach an agreement.

But if Younesi's words disparaging Obama are any indication, that agreement may still be much further away.

"Americans witnessed their greatest defeats in Obama's era: Terrorism expanded, [the] U.S. had huge defeats under Obama [and] that is why they want to compromise with Iran," Younesi said.

Younesi is not alone in his criticism of Obama, with even former members of the president's staff, such as ex-Defense Secretary Robert Gates, critiquing Obama's leadership skills in his memoir.

Younesi also complained that conservatives in the United States are "warmongers," Free Beacon reports.

"They cannot tolerate powers like Iran," he said. "If conservatives were in power they would go to war with us because they follow Israel and they want to portray Iran as the main threat and not ISIS."

He was more complimentary to Obama's political party, saying Democrats view Iran as "no threat."

"We have to use this opportunity [of Democrats being in power in the U.S.], because if this opportunity is lost, in future we may not have such an opportunity again," Younesi said.

But lawmakers on both sides are pessimistic about Iran's tactics, saying Tehran is trying to stall for time while it builds a nuclear weapon.

Saeed Ghasseminejad, an Iranian dissident and associate fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), told Free Beacon that Obama believes "by rewarding Iran and permitting it to do whatever it wants in the region, the mullahs in Tehran will be convinced to compromise."

However, Iran now controls three Arab capitals, Damascus, Beirut, and Baghdad, he said, and its allies just captured a fourth one, Sana in Yemen. Further, Iran's economy has improved significantly.

"Unfortunately, it does not seem that the mullahs reached the conclusion desired by the administration," he said. "Iranians believe this administration is weak, it has lost its economic leverage over Iran and there is no credible military option on the table. Iran has been rewarded upfront, they now ask for more while are determined to keep their nuclear program intact."

A New York City doctor has tested positive for Ebola after returning from work in West Africa with an aid agency, the first case of the deadly disease diagnosed in the most populous U.S. city.

The doctor, Craig Spencer, 33, is being treated in an isolation unit at Bellevue Hospital Center.

The diagnosis was made by the New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene and announced by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio at a news conference. Samples of Spencer’s blood will be sent to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta for confirmation, the CDC said.

A CDC team will help health workers at Bellevue safely care for him while trying to track down anybody he may have had close contact with while he was sick.

“We have a team that’s readying to deploy to New York,” said Tom Skinner, a spokesman for the CDC. “It’s composed of epidemiologists, infection control, data management, and communications officers.”

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said health officials have been preparing for an Ebola case to turn up in the state.

“We are as ready as one can be for this circumstance,” Cuomo said. “New York is a dense place, a lot of people on top of each other, but the more you know, the less frightening it is.”

Spencer, a fellow in international emergency medicine at Columbia University-New York Presbyterian Hospital, according to a LinkedIn profile, returned to New York this month from Guinea after working there with Doctors Without Borders, the aid organization fighting the outbreak raging in West Africa. He hasn’t been working with patients at the hospital since returning, New York Presbyterian said in a statement.

Bellevue, an 828-bed hospital, has been designated as one of four facilities for Ebola treatment in New York, a city of 8.4 million residents. It has four single-bed rooms in its infectious-disease ward to receive high-probability or confirmed cases and a laboratory to handle blood samples, according to New York City Health and Hospitals Corp.

Mount Sinai Hospital and New York Presbyterian in Manhattan, and Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, are the other New York City facilities for patients. Four others are on Long Island and in Syracuse and Rochester.

Spencer was brought to Bellevue in a special ambulance after developing a fever andgastrointestinal symptoms earlier today, said the New York City health department and Doctors Without Borders.

“The individual engaged in regular health monitoring and reported this development immediately,” Tim Shenk, a Doctors Without Borders spokesman, said by e-mail.

Cuomo said health authorities believe four people had contact with Spencer during the “relevant period” while he may have exposed others to the infection.

The four are Spencer’s fiancee, two friends, and an Uber car service driver who had Spencer as a passenger, New York City Health Commissioner Mary Bassett said. The fiance and friends are healthy and under quarantine, she said. The Uber driver had no direct physical contact and isn’t considered at risk, she said.

Spencer was identified by a New York City official who asked not to be identified because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly about the matter. A person with the same name on Facebook posted a picture on Sept. 18, saying he was going to Guinea with Doctors Without Borders.

“Please support organizations that are sending support or personnel to West Africa, and help combat one of the worst public health and humanitarian disasters in recent history,” read the caption of a photo showing a man wearing a protective gown, face shield, eye mask and gloves.

The man next posted on Oct. 16 from a hotel in Brussels. On LinkedIn, Spencer said he has worked at New York Presbyterian since July 2011.

The West Africa outbreak has infected about 10,000 people, mostly in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, killing half, according to the World Health Organization.

New York state officials said they’d been planning for an Ebola patient for months and in recent weeks ordered hospitals to go through practice drills and enhance safety protocols.

There’s no approved cure for Ebola in the U.S., though some patients have received experimental drugs. The current standard of care involves supporting patients by replacing fluids and electrolytes, and using antibiotics to fight off any opportunistic infections.

Early symptoms can be similar to those of malaria such as fever and chills. Ebola also causes headache, stomach pain, weakness, diarrhea, vomiting, and bleeding. During later stages, patients can lose many liters of bodily fluid each day. The virus spreads through direct contact with a victim.

Patients are most infectious at late stages when large quantities of the virus are present inside the body. This explains why health-care workers and relatives tending to the gravely ill are most at risk of infection.

Two nurses in Dallas were infected at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital while caring for Thomas Eric Duncan, the first man to die of the virus in the U.S. One of the nurses, Amber Vinson, 29, is now free of the virus. She is being treated at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. The other nurse, Nina Pham, 26, is in good condition at a National Institutes of Health medical center in Maryland.

“There is no reason for New Yorkers to be alarmed, Ebola is an extremely hard disease to contract,” de Blasio said at the news conference. “New Yorkers who haven’t been exposed to an infected person’s bodily fluids aren’t at all at risk.”

Yesterday, the CDC said anyone traveling to the U.S. from Liberia, Sierra Leone or Guinea would be monitored for 21 days, the maximum incubation period for the virus. Travelers leaving the countries are already checked at the airport before boarding a plane, and about 36,000 people have been screened.

Despite strict safety measures by Doctors Without Borders, 14 of their staff members have been infected with Ebola and eight have died since March, the organization said Sept. 24. The greatest risk is believed to be when they are out in the community rather than when working with patients, the group said.
