Canada Slams Door On Illegal Immigrants Kicked Out Of US

President Trump announced that he would not extend the seventeen-year-long “temporary protected status” for Salvadoran refugees, essentially ordering them to return home within 18 months.

But as many on the left decry Trump for not extending the protections, Canada has been very quick to dissuade the 200,000 Salvadorans affected from coming up north.

The Canadian government sent a Spanish-speaking member of Parliament to California, to make a media tour actively discouraging any migration.

"Canada has a robust and structured immigration system that must be respected," explained Canadian MP Pablo Rodriguez. "Before leaving your job, pulling your child from school and selling your house to come to Canada, make sure you understand the rules and the laws. Because if you don't fill these criteria, chances are you'll be returned, not to the U.S. but to your native country."

Canada took a similar tack when Trump removed a protected status from Haitian refugees.

Canada’s refusal to welcome refugees leaving the United States comes as a stark contrast to the words put forth by their left-leaning Prime Minister Justin Trudeau last year.

As Trump announced his refugee ban on visitors and immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries, Trudeau wrote a widely circulated op-ed, saying, "To those fleeing persecution, terror and war, Canadians will welcome you, regardless of your faith. Diversity is our strength.”

However, despite Trudeau’s big words, it’s clear that his government has repeatedly been unwilling to put their money where their mouth is once the reality of the situation becomes apparent.

Who Would Want Crazy Nancy At A Meeting?

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) mocked the efforts Thursday to reach an immigration deal because it was composed of five white men.

Here’s the video of her mocking comments:

Here’s what she said:

“I would say that McCarthy and the four, the five white guys I call them, you know,” she said, referring to Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and four others involved in immigration negotiations.
“Are they gonna open up a hamburger stand next, or what?” she joked to laughter from the news conference.
“That could have been four months ago. The very idea that this week they’re saying, ‘Oh, why don’t we get four white guys and General Kelly to come and do this,'” she added.
“You have to understand that in our caucus, we are blessed with great diversity,” she explained. “Understanding of the issues, the ability to translate policy into the lives of people, the sensitivity even on the wording is really important for people who have been engaged in the issues, to be there at the table.”

Here’s who she was referring to:

The “five white guys” as she called them, were Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas), Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), and White House chief of staff John Kelly.

Even the Democrat white male was offended

Hoyer, one of the Democrat white males Pelosi referred to, objected to her comment in a statement released afterward. “That comment is offensive. I am committed to ensuring ‘Dreamers’ are protected and I will welcome everyone to the table who wants to get this done,” he said.

Obama Did The Same As Trump. Truth Hurts

FLASHBACK: Obama called this African nation a “sh*t show”

by Stephen Dietrich, Associate Publisher
President Donald Trump allegedly referred to some poor African nations as “sh*tholes” on Thursday — and in response, the mainstream media has whipped itself into a frenzy.
“Unpresidential!” cable news hosts have cried. “Racist,” “bigoted,” “impeachable!” liberal journalists have screamed.

So, where was this hysterical outrage when former President Barack Obama referred to one third-world African nation as a “sh*t show”?
Talking to The Atlantic in 2016, Obama talked about the degrading situation in Libya and blamed U.S. allies for the sad state of affairs.
Obama called Libya a “mess” — and later explained that he specifically meant it had become a “sh*t show” that was too caught up in African tribalism for their own good.
Mess is the president’s diplomatic term; privately, he calls Libya a ‘shit show,’ in part because it’s subsequently become an ISIS haven — one that he has already targeted with air strikes,” Jeffrey Goldberg reported in the Apr. 2016 edition of Atlantic Magazine. “It became a shit show, Obama believes, for reasons that had less to do with American incompetence than with the passivity of America’s allies and with the obdurate power of tribalism.”

This wasn’t some obscure statement that we’ve cherry-picked, either.
This was The Atlantic’s cover story for the month, and was widely covered in the British press and some American outletsbecause Obama placed the blame squarely at the feet of the United Kingdom’s former Prime Minister David Cameron. That very same month, The Horn News reported that Obama’s actions in Libya had led to the rebirth of the African slave trade.
So… where was the outrage? Where was the angry accusations of racism because Obama had turned a blind eye to the enslavement of thousands of Africans? Where was the media’s fury that he’d dismissed a country where the African slave trade was flourishing as nothing but a “sh*t show” and that he blamed both American allies and African “tribalism” for the problem?
I’ll give you a hint: There was no outrage. Zero. None.

The silence from the left on Obama’s comments was deafening — and the media’s uneven response is undeniable proof that they’ve lost all credibility.
Imagine if Trump did the same? For just a moment, envision the response if Trump publicly blamed our allies and African tribalism for the rebirth of the black slave trade in a “sh*t show” of a country?
There’d be riots in the streets!
Democrats have stoked the flames of anger against Trump, too.

For example, Rep. Elijah Cummings tweeted —

I condemn this unforgivable statement and this demeaning of the office of the Presidency. I will always fight for the vulnerable among us and against bigotry in all its forms. https://twitter.com/washingtonpost/status/951568993458053121

So lets be fair. How did Cummings react to Obama calling a third-world country a “sh*t show” on Twitter?
How convenient.

Should We Institute Tax On Internet Sales?

Is President Trump calling for an internet sales tax?
President Donald Trump appears to be pushing for an internet sales tax for the second time in as many months, CNBC reported. And his comments seem to be directly aimed at Amazon.
“The internet — they’re going to have to start paying sales tax because it’s very unfair what’s happening to our retailers all over the country that are put out of business,” Trump said Wednesday. He made the comment to media and members of the administration during the signing of the Interdict Act, which seeks to reduce drug smuggling, CNBC reported.
Trump also repeated his concern that Amazon is putting a strain on the U.S. Postal Service.
In December, Trump tweeted that the U.S. Postal Service is losing billions while making Amazon richer.

Could this really happen?

One analyst called Trump’s comments nothing but hot air.
“There’s always been a fear for players like an Amazon or a Google that something like this could actually get through,” Daniel Ives, head of technology research at GBH Insights, told CNBC. “We believe it’s more noise than a real threat.”
Ives said the discussion is notable, but he believes an internet tax is unlikely to ever come to pass.
Others speculate that Trump is angry at Amazon president and CEO Jeff Bezos because his newspaper, The Washington Post, publishes articles that are critical of the president.

Are states losing sales tax revenue?

The issue includes questions about why third-party vendors can pay varying levels of sales tax, CNBC reported. Some state leaders say that is not fair.
The state of South Carolina, for example, filed a lawsuit that alleges Amazon was responsible for “$12 million in uncollected taxes, interests, and penalties for the first three months of 2016,” CNBC News reported. Amazon has denied the claim, and called the lawsuit “without merit.”
Amazon is also cutting into overall retail sales. Amazon made about 44 percent of all U.S. e-commerce sales last year. That’s about four percent of the nation’s total retail sales.  And, Amazon had its biggest holiday shopping season in 2017.

Media Fails To Be Evenhanded

Palm Beach Post’s concept of “Balanced Views” (Huh!)

http://israel-commentary.org
The most conspicuous example of this deliberate  delusion is a daily page in the paper called Balanced Views consisting of two separate vertical columns – side by side. One is called, From the Left and the other is called, From the Right.
The reader is also given a list of contributing columnists appearing on both sides on different days of the week. Additional columnists do appear.
Listed on the Left are: Paul Krugman, Mary Sanchez, Maureen Dowd, Thomas Friedman, E.J. Dionne Jr., Gail Collins and Leonard Pitts. No-one with views on the Left would argue with any of these selections.
Those on the Right are a totally different story. Many of them are not on the Right at all or on the Right on rare occasions.  They then  proceed from that supposed position to  criticize rather than support the Right in most of their writings.
This is particularly the case when they write about President Trump — which is the greater part of their time. Listed as Right wing in the paper are Mona Charen, Ross Douthat, Michael Gerson, Kathleen Parker, David Brooks and George Will all of whom spend most of the time criticizing the Republican Party and President Trump. Chas Krauthammer has had an epiphany lately to modify his approach and even  reluctantly praise the President
The Post of  Wed. Jan. 10, 2018, is a perfect example of this ploy. The column on the Left is written by Catherine Rampell from the Washington Post,  a paper notorious for its Left point of view. Her column is titled “Rising stock prices are not evidence of Trump ‘genius’.” Need I say more?  Rampell goes on to explain why Trump should not be given obvious credit for turning the mind-set of virtually the entire nation around and many of the Europeans and Far East, as well. People and companies are now optimistic and confidently putting money back into the system. The stock market respects that opinion and is setting record high records every day.
Then we move over to the supposed Right column in the paper written by Michael Gerson who also happens to write for the Washington Post. By the way, in no way does anyone  present a genuinely Right view and still work for the Washington Post.
Gerson’s perverse opening paragraph tells it all and was predictably  embraced by his Washington Post editors. Gerson writes:
“ Because of President Donald Trump’s absence of downward loyalty, his elevation of the morally impaired and the encouragement of staff factionalism, his administration will produce any number of damaging memoirs and leak-filled exposes.”
Then Gerson goes on to praise Michael Wolff’s, ‘Fire and Fury’ as a true estimate of Donald Trump when any number of objective critics have described Wolff’s book as a work of complete fiction. Wolff admits that he is in the business of selling books and don’t let the facts get in the way.
Fortunately, we do have an objective point of view dealing with the facts of the case. It comes from Wm. McGurn, Wall Street Journal, Dec. 26, 2017, titled: The ‘Stupidity of Donald Trump.’
McGurn goes on to disclaim:
“This time, one year ago, the assumption dominating political coverage was the only people more stupid than Donald Trump were the ‘disposables’ that elected him.
Since then, of course President Trump has become President Trump and in his over 11 months in office he has:
Put Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court balancing the Left leaning
Appointed four time as many judges on the appellate courts as Barack Obama dis his first year.
Recognized Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel
Withdrawn from the anti-US Paris climate accord
Adopted a more resolute policy on Afghanistan,
Rolled back Catholic Nuns having to provide employees with the tools of contraception and abortion
Opened drilling for oil in Arctic National Wildlife Refuge,
Initiated a bold deregulation assault of the Deep State and ..
Topped if off with the first major overhaul of the tax code in more than 30 years.”
Who then do you think is giving the public more accurate information and reasoned opinion — Wm. McGurn or the carefully selected be-clouded columnists  of  the Left and Right  of the the Palm Beach Post?
