Why Should We Charge Anyone With Murder If This Is The Litmus Test!
D.C. Police Chief: Prosecuting Teen Who Killed Uber Eats Driver As Adult Won’t ‘Bring Back The Lost Loved One’
Mohammad Anwar, a 66-year-old Uber Eats
driver in Washington, D.C., was killed last
month after two teenage girls assaulted
him with a Taser and stole his car. The
girls crashed the car, which resulted in
Anwar’s death.
Normally, the murder of a Pakistani
immigrant would capture media attention
for weeks, but the with the killers being
black teen girls, it quickly disappeared.
The girls, aged 13 and 15, were also able
to reach a plea deal that allows them to
“avoid detention in prison facilities and
will not be held past the age of 21,” The
Daily Wire’s Ian Haworth previously
Earlier this month, Acting D.C. Police
Chief Robert Contee III gave some
disturbing answers to questions regarding
the case, RedState’s Jennifer Van Laar
reported. When asked by Fox’s D.C.
affiliate about the 13-year-old girl’s alleged
involvement in a separate carjacking,
Contee reportedly said:
That’s one of many. We have one for that
particular – one of the individuals involved,
but there are several carjackings that we
have had so far this year where we’re
seeing individuals that are involved in
multiple, multiple cases. So clearly I think
that speaks to us really examining, as a
community, the accountability that’s in
place. You know, how is it that someone
is charged with carjacking or is responsible
for carjacking commits another carjacking
and another carjacking? I think it’s the
larger issue than just this one particular case.
Van Laar reported that 1010 carjackings
were reported in D.C. between January 1
and March 28 of this year. During the
same period in 2020, just 22 carjackings
were reported, suggesting the response
to such crime has been insufficient.
Contee was also asked if he believed the
15-year-old girl should be tried as an adult
for her alleged crime, to which Contee replied:
The 15-year-old would not be charged as
an adult. You know, obviously, this is a tragic
case and, you know, charging this person
as an adult [who’s] a juvenile … does not
bring back the lost loved one in this case,”
said Acting Chief Contee,” And certainly,
again, the 15-year-old would not be
eligible as a Title 16 case. You know,
and it’s not really pointing fingers at
anyone – the courts or anyone.
“If that’s the logic, charging anyone with
any degree of homicide is useless since
it doesn’t bring back the lost loved one.
Is there a case in which the manner in
which defendants are charged DOES bring
back the lost loved one? Because I’m sure
there are a lot of wives and husbands
and granddaughters and grandsons and
moms and dads who would like to have
their lost loved one back,” Van Laar wrote.
The two girls were reportedly approached
with plea-bargain offers from a prosecutor,
a move that likely would not happened if
the two teenagers were male.
“He was a hardworking immigrant who
came to the U.S. in 2014 to build a better
life for himself and his family,” Anwar’s
family said in a statement. “The loss for
his family is immeasurable.”

"Let Me Have My Cake" Harris--The Border Doesn't Deserve My Attention
Kamala Harris Ignores Border Crisis, Instead Buys Cake in Chicago

Vice President Kamala Harris is supposed to be fixing the humanitarian crisis at the southern border of the U.S. — but she’s too busy with her cake to lift a finger to help the situation.
President Joe Biden handed the issue off to her back on March 24, but Harris hasn’t visited the border or even held a news conference in the two weeks since.
She could have made a quick detour while she was in California to celebrate Easter in her home near Los Angeles or skipped her trip to Oakland to push the administration’s new infrastructure bill.
Instead, she turned up Tuesday at Brown Sugar Bakery on the South Side of Chicago to hobnob with business owners and local politicians, Fox News reported.
While migrant kids shrouded in foil blankets remain packed into plexiglass pens and border facilities fill up beyond capacity, Harris took the opportunity to nab a piece of German chocolate cake — her favorite — and talk about equity in vaccine distribution at her stop in the midwest.
Harris joined the state’s Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton and Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx at the bakery after it appeared on a list of small businesses she might like to visit, according to WLS-TV.
“She could have went a million other places, but she came here, and I’m grateful for that,” bakery worker Tyera Adugba told the network.
It’s true — Harris could have gone to the Delphi Emergency Intake Site in Donna, Texas, to visit the latest facility housing unaccompanied minors, or other facilities in the area that are currently crammed full of illegal immigrant children at “1700% pandemic capacity.”
She could have peaked in at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas where another 3,000 children are expected to be held.
Or she could have had a photo op at one of the border crossings where hundreds of illegal immigrant gang members and sex offenders were nabbed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection — the ones they were able to catch, at least.
Even a news conference laying out her plan for addressing the crisis would have been something.
But Harris instead walked away from that midwestern bakery with a slice of her favorite confection and trays piled with strawberry, caramel, and lemon cupcakes — unaware the optics convey a “let me eat cake” obliviousness to the plight of the people.
It’s not that Harris has to only focus on this one issue, but it would help if she were doing anything about it at all.
Arizona’s Republican Gov. Doug Ducey called Harris “the worst possible choice” to deal with the snowballing disaster at the border for good reason.
“In no point in her career has she given any indication that she considers the border a problem or a serious threat,” Ducey said.
She may have said the right things recently when pressed into acknowledging the problem she said won’t “be solved overnight,” but she certainly isn’t acting like someone ready to roll up her sleeves and take on the issue.
The truth is that she doesn’t care what’s happening at the border because it’s part and parcel of Democratic policy and their view of illegal immigration.
Democrats welcome hordes of illegal immigrants who they view as future voters while caring little about the migrants’ present situation because it fits their purpose.
Harris hasn’t done anything to secure the border because the immigrants aren’t real people to politicians like her, but rather a means to an end.
Illegal immigrants are welcomed into the country — already at a disadvantage and impoverished — and the Democratic Party is at the ready to promise them the world.
Rather than owning up to their role in allowing people into the country illegally with no practical way to vet them and without a clear path to citizenship in the first place, Democrats tell illegal immigrants it is all white supremacy that is keeping them down.
Like all Democrats, Harris won’t act because she understands that a permanent underclass of poor immigrants is exactly the demographic group the left can target with their handouts and goodies — and the fact that they can also weaponize their race against Republicans is the icing on the cake.
If This Does Not Prove The Ineffectiveness Of Masks And Shutdowns, Nothing Will
Of States with the Most New COVID Cases Per Capita, 9 Out of 10 Are Run by Democrats
Published April 6, 2021 at 4:26pm
From a quick glance at the standings, the Neanderthals appear to be winning.
President Joe Biden labeled states ditching mask mandates as an example of “Neanderthal thinking” last month.
But when the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Tuesday released its state-by-state scorecard on COVID-19 cases, most of the “leaders” were states run by Democrats that were clinging to mask mandates and lockdowns.
Texas, which triggered Biden’s “Neanderthal” jab, was at 62.3 cases per 100,000 people over the past seven days, according to the CDC.
Meanwhile, Michigan was at 471 cases per 100,000 people; New Jersey at 335; New York at 248.7; Pennsylvania at 235.4; Connecticut at 230.4; Delaware at 223.4; Rhode Island at 216.4; New Hampshire at 204.8; and Vermont at 202.7.

The only Republican-led state in the top tier of states was sparsely populated Alaska at 231.2, even though its number of reported cases — 1,691 — was in the bottom tier of all states. For the sake of context, Michigan had 47,036 cases over the past seven days.
The state with the lowest seven-day average was Arkansas, which lifted its mask mandate on March 30. The Natural State had a rate of 36.1 cases per 100,000 of population, well below the national average of 133.8.
Although Biden has said ending mask mandates is a mistake, few governors are listening.
“Let me get this straight – POTUS Biden wants Mississippi to reverse course and reinstate a mask mandate because cases are going up in New York and New Jersey,” Republican Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves tweeted last week.
“No thank you, Mr. President.”
Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer was criticized for her state’s approach to the pandemic, which has relied on lockdowns and executive orders.
“Despite Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s onerous lockdown policies and draconian shutdown orders, Michigan is still leading the nation in new COVID-19 cases,” Ted Goodman, communications director for the Michigan Republican Party, told Fox News.

“From the start of this pandemic, Whitmer has been more focused on the political science rather than the actual science, which is why Michigan is seeing an increase, compared to most of the country, where numbers are falling.”
Republican Governors Association spokesperson Chris Gustafson also lambasted Whitmer.
“Gretchen Whitmer is asleep at the wheel while COVID-19 rages on in Michigan,” Gustafson said in a statement.
“Whether it’s cutting hush money checks, instituting deadly Andrew Cuomo-inspired nursing home policies, or hiding from her constituents, Michiganders deserve better leadership than Gretchen Whitmer.”
