Obama received nearly 70% of the Jewish vote in the November election and we now see it is no longer a priority to emphasize anything dealing with American Jews. In fact, he has just cancelled the Jewish Heritage Month reception at the White House. Other events have occurred, however, why should he honor a tiny 2% minority, after all the election is over?
If anything this is an insult to the group that gave him the second largest plurality in both of his elections. How many Jews will notice? Most will not. They are so dependable Democrats that even the thought of criticizing the President is verboten.We wonder if they ever will learn.

WHITE HOUSE CANCELS JEWISH HERITAGE MONTH RECEPTION
Who cares about 6,000 years of history, anyway?
White House Scraps Jewish Heritage Month Reception byon April 5, 2013The White House is picking winners and losers as it cuts back because of the sequester, and a planned reception for American Jews is getting the short end of the stick.Many other events are proceeding as planned, but according to the Jewish news service JTA, the annual White House celebration of Jewish American Heritage Month is canceled.“Jewish invitees usually include luminaries in the arts, sports and sciences, lawmakers, armed services personnel and the Israeli ambassador, as well as organizational leaders and political supporters of the president,” according to JTA.The sequester cuts kicked in March 1, but that hasn’t stopped the White House from staging a variety of fun events marking all sorts of occasions.The celebration of St. Patrick’s Day last month included an East Room bash with hundreds of guests and a separate breakfast party at the vice president’s residence.Tuesday, the Obamas took in an exclusive viewing in the White House theater of the movie “42,” which chronicles the life of Jackie Robinson, with the film’s cast and crew. Earlier, in the day, Michelle hosted a “42 Film Workshop” for kids in the State Dining Room that featured Harrison Ford.Obama even got in a reception for the Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings and major league soccer champs LA Galaxy on March 26. And there’s money around to transport him to the golf links, where he traveled by motorcade last weekend.Next Tuesday, the Obamas will be treated to a command East Room performance “celebrating” Memphis soul music, with performances by stars like Justin Timberlake and Queen Latifah.Deciding what to cancel could become problematic for the White House, as various groups begin to despair at not getting coveted presidential treatment.For example, next month also traditionally includes a White House celebration of Cinco de Mayo. But it would seem doubtful Obama would nix that event, given the fierce competition for Hispanic voters.
Hey, I want a German and Irish Heritage Month at the White House. We vote, too!

"For example, next month also traditionally includes a White House celebration of Cinco de Mayo. But it would seem doubtful Obama would nix that event, given the fierce competition for Hispanic voters."
ReplyDeleteLOL. Fact-checking Hispanic voters...
Obama=71%
Romney=27%
Yeah, that sure is "fierce competition." Same percentage as Jewish voters.

So, your point is?
ReplyDeleteObama ignores Jews while cozying up to Muslims and Hispanics?
My point is that this guy says Obama is unconcerned about keeping the Jewish vote because he won by a 70% margin, but there is supposedly "fierce competition" for the Hispanic vote. Checking facts, Obama won by the same percentage of the Hispanic vote. If this guy were consistent in his logic, he would predict that the White House will cancel the Hispanic celebration for the same reason they cancelled the Jewish celebration, but he doesn't say that. Instead, he says, due to his "fierce competition" for the Hispanic vote will mean no cancellation of the Hispanic celebration. That makes no logical sense.
ReplyDeleteDon't get me wrong. The Hispanic celebration may happen as usual, but not for the reason he offers. In the next presidential election, the Democrats will have the Hispanic vote as locked up as the Jewish vote in 2016. That is mainly because they won't get the immigration bill with a realistic "path to citizenship" through the Republican House.

DeleteThe "path to citizenship" to a path to destruction of the country. It will dramatically increase Democratic votes and reward law breakers with citizenship while those who waited patiently overseas, get stiffed.
Fact-checking...
ReplyDeleteAlso, Obama is not "ignoring" Jews. He has given loads of military technology and weapons to Israel and just went to Israel and made an important policy speech directly to the Israeli citizens. By contrast, between Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush, only one of them ever went to Israel, and that "W" in the eighth year of his presidency. That is more significant than some ceremonial "Heritage" day in White House.
Obama gave more to the Arabs than Israel.
ReplyDeleteNo Arab country (except possibly Afghanistan because of the war) gets more aid than Israel. Israel got $3 billion in 2012, and has increased every year under Obama.

"The "path to citizenship" to a path to destruction of the country. It will dramatically increase Democratic votes...."
ReplyDeleteBingo! Latinos are not going to vote Republican so long as House Republicans block the "path to citizenship." This will happen regardless whether there is a Cinco de Mayo day at the White House.

I did not point out any one country--I said Arabs which include Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc etc.
ReplyDeleteIf things are going to be equal it must be equal on both sides. The Arabs have always combined their forces to fight Israel. So Israel should get the same amount of materiel as all the Arabs combined to make things equal.
Otherwise, Israel gets 1/8 the amount given to the Arabs. Not fair.
The path to citizenship is a path of destruction. When non-whites are a majority, white rights will go the way of the buggy whip!
ReplyDeleteWhat are "white rights"? Do whites have special rights in this country?
