Alec Baldwin, "30 Rock" actor and former MSNBC commentator, was arrested Tuesday for disorderly conduct after police officers ticketed him for riding his bike against traffic, at which time he became "belligerent," according to reports.

"He was stopped by officers for riding the wrong way on a street. When the officers asked for ID, he got belligerent because he had none on him," a source told InTouch Weekly. "The officers placed him under arrest for disorderly conduct."

In addition to the disorderly conduct charge, Baldwin was reportedly given two summonses, one for riding his bike the wrong way on the street and one for not having identification.

Eyewitnesses told InTouch he initially "went ballistic on the cops, screaming at them" but later seemed "calm and quiet" once he had his hands cuffed behind him and stepped into the police car.

A police officer told the New York Daily News that Baldwin "became belligerent, yelling and screaming at the officers, 'I don't have ID. Just give me the f—ing summonses.'"

At the station he also reportedly yelled, "How old are these officers? They don't even know who I am!"

Baldwin was released after being taken to the station, and is scheduled to appear in court July 24.

After the arrest, he took to Twitter to express his displeasure with the city and its police system.

The arrest adds to a growing number of incidents in which Baldwin has lost his temper, berating paparazzi, reporters, and others, and sometimes hurling homophobic slurs. He was fired from his MSNBC show for such an altercation last year.
