Gun Haters, Animal Rights Idiots Don't Understand Hunting.

From Right To Bear Blog:

Biggest Moment of This 11-Year-Old’s Life Almost Spoiled by Anti-Hunting Haters

As most hunters know, their sport has become controversial among a large contingent of the American public. Urban dwellers who are several generations removed from the need to hunt their own food, and Liberals who oppose gun ownership have all lined up against those who believe in responsible harvesting and management of game. Gavin Dingman, an 11-year-old crossbow hunter who lives in Michigan, just experienced this personally.
Gavin was on a crossbow hunting trip with his father when he shot a rare trophy, a 12-point albino buck. Jordon Browne, host of the Michigan Out-of-Doors TV hunting show, put a picture of Gavin and the deer on the show’s Facebook page.

The post currently has almost 10,000 “Likes,” but there have also been many hateful comments, Browne said.
There was one comment that someone “should shoot that kid with an arrow,” and others along those lines. There were a lot of ignorant people blaming and scolding the parents for letting their child hunt, or as they put it, “murder” things.
There were also reports blaming Gavin’s father for goading him to shoot the deer, but Gavin says that is not true at all.
My dad was just, “Take a deep breath. Are you sure you can take the shot? If you’re not 100 percent, we don’t want to injure it.”
Browne says he has removed hundreds of extreme negative comments from the page. The show fully supports Gavin, and reminds readers the hunt was “100% legal.”
Like many states, Michigan has adapted its laws to accommodate the increased interest in bow hunting. Michigan has a 77-day separate deer hunting season set aside just for bowhunters. There is also an any-deer archery season in every county in Michigan, and the states permits shooting of fish with a bow and arrow in most lakes and streams. Bow hunters can also hunt from elevated blinds, and are permitted to carry an unstrung bow in an automotive vehicle during hunting season.
