One Can Hardly Keep Up With The Attacks On Israelis. Every Day More.

Jewish Man Stabbed in Jerusalem in Apparent Terrorist Attack

“Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God made He man.” (Genesis 9:6)
In the latest in a stream of attacks on Jewish victims in Israel’s capital, a 32-year-old Jewish man was stabbed with a screwdriver Sunday night. His attacker was identified as an Arab man.
The victim, who was not identified but was described as a Breslov Hassid, suffered light-to-moderate injuries when he was stabbed in the back at approximately 6 p.m. on Jerusalem’s Hanevi’im Street near the Light Rail station. He reached Border Patrol officers on his own steam, where he reported the incident. He was taken to the Western Wall, where he was treated by Magen David Adom staff, and later transferred to Sha’are Zedek Medical Center for further treatment. The victim remained conscious the entire time.

Police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld, who provided the details of the incident, said the suspect fled the scene on foot in the direction of the Damascus Gate, and has yet to be apprehended. A massive search is underway, and multiple roadblocks have been set up to capture the perpetrator.
Within an hour of the incident, Hamas praised the attack, calling it a “natural response” to Israel’s “crimes”, according to Palestinian news site Al Resalah.
This incident is only the latest in a spate of terrorist attacks which have seen more Israelis injured or killed in the past two months than in the previous two years combined. Last Monday, a 20-year-old Israeli soldier, Almog Shiloni, was murdered outside a Tel Aviv train station, and a 26-year-old woman, Dalia Lemkus, was stabbed to death at a bus stop in the Etzion Bloc. Another 100 Israelis have been injured in various terrorist attacks in the past month, with perpetrators originating in the West Bank.
