Business mogul Donald Trump could "stir up" further speculation about his 2016 White House aspirations with a few scheduled events in Iowa next month, including the Iowa Freedom Summit that will showcase several potential GOP presidential aspirants.

Trump's political consultant, Sam Nunberg, told The Des Moines Register that Trump is attending a dinner party with Gov. Terry Branstad on Jan. 23 and will be a speaker at the Freedom Summit the following day.

"I have always loved visiting Iowa. I look forward to these two special events," Trump told the newspaper.

He's already been scheduled for an annual real estate conference in West Des Moines on Jan. 23; his dinner with the governor, Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds "and other prominent leaders" will take place at a private dinner, the Register reports.

"Every presidential election at this time of year, Donald seems to surface," land brokerage firm head Steve Bruere, who will also be at the private dinner, told the Register.

"He likes to put his name out there one way or another and at least offer his opinion. One can only suspect the reason he accepted this year is because it's a caucus year, and he wants to stir things up."

Bruer's firm, Peoples Company, hosts the annual dinner.

On Jan. 24, Trump will be on a packed speakers' list at the conservative Freedom Summit being hosted by Iowa Republican Rep. Steve King and Citizens United, the Register reports.

Other GOP slated speakers include New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin,  neurosurgeon Ben Carson, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, Utah Sen. Mike Lee, Tennessee Rep. Marsha Blackburn, former U.S. ambassador John Bolton and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina.

Trump attended a fundraiser for King in Iowa in October, and the Register reports he's talking about upcoming visits in 2015 to Iowa, traditionally the first state in the nation that has a chance to show support for candidates in caucuses.

Trump has considered the road to the White House on several other occasions, including as an independent in 2000, and again in 2008 and 2012 – but never officially tossed his hat in the ring.

Just last month, in the wake of the Republican wave that put a GOP majority in both the Senate and House, Trump told Newsmax TV he was considering a possible bid in 2016.

"I'm looking," he told "MidPoint" host Ed Berliner.
