Christian Holocaust Continues Unabated In Middle East. Who Can You Support?

CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY: West Ignoring Christian Blood On Muslim Hands

At one time, the West was a sanctuary from the iron fist of despots, and it was the hand of mercy to the innocent under persecution. But from the current circumstances in the world…it appears something has changed for the worse…
Since 9-11, a good portion of the West has become aware of the ideology of Islam, cloaked in religion. Where few (except experts) had connected the creed with violence, more began to realize that Islam had been given a tagline (“religion of peace”) that expressed the antithesis of its true nature. As “moderate” posers began to sinuously make their way into high places in the governments of the West, the main targets of Islam began to suffer…and the West began to betray its Judeo-Christian foundation of mercy…
It’s been established that today, Christians are the most persecuted people group on the globe. And that persecution is largely happening throughout the Muslim world. Yet, the pleas for help from various groups of Christians, has been met with indifference by Western leaders.
That indifference itself…when the West has the ability to not only speak out against these atrocities, but to aid those fighting our common enemies like ISIS and their ilk…can be called nothing less than a crime against humanity!
Christians in the Middle East (Syria, Iraq, Egypt, etc.) and Christians in Africa (Nigeria, Kenya, etc.) have been slaughtered by the tens of thousands since 9-11. PLUS, hundreds of thousands of Christians have been wounded, raped, tortured, and displaced by these Islamic thugs (all catalogued by Raymond Ibrahim). This has NOT been done in secret, but rather broadcast by some news organizations with integrity…AND, by the Islamic terrorists themselves in social media.
The response to this focused genocide of Christians, by Western leaders? A little less than…NOTHING…
Last year, five top Syrian Christian leaders shared about the horrors their churches are experiencing at the hands of Islamist extremists and that these atrocities are epic in their brutality. They pleaded with the Obama administration to aid in stopping this persecution.
Given the United States’ increased support for non-terrorist rebel groups in the wake of the Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons, the religious leaders’ mission is a long shot. The bishops are asking the United States to exert pressure on countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey to stop supporting and sending terrorist fighters to Syria. “The real problem is that the strong military opposition on the ground is a foreign opposition,” Rev. Adeeb Awad, vice moderator of the National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon, explained, arguing that US support of opposition groups means support for foreign terrorist fighters. “They are the ones killing and attacking churches and clergy and nuns and burning houses and eating human livers and hearts and cutting heads,” Awad says.
Rev. Awad, is correct. Obama has shown excitement to help the Muslim “rebels”; but help innocent Christian men, women and children to protect themselves from being slaughtered? Not so much…as a matter of fact, not at all.
Associate Editor of The Spectator (UK), Damian Thompson, put it succinctly: “…the mass culling of Chaldean and Assyrian Christians brings out in Obama a streak of insouciance and laid-back cowardice that is very much his own.”
And this indifference continues…
There’s a current opportunity for the US to aid Assyrian Christians who are fighting ISIS on the ground. According to my recent guest, retired US Army LTC Sargis Sangari (his segment @1:13:18 in the show), the Assyrian people can accomplish much to push ISIS back from their communities with our help. Here are some things individuals can do to aid the Assyrian people:
— Contact your representatives in Congress and ask for action to aid Assyrian Christians who are attempting to protect their families and their existence from annihilation by ISIS.
House: http://www.house.gov/representatives/, Senate:http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm
— Support the work of United Assyrian Appeal.
— Support the work of Near East Center for Strategic Engagement.
— Support the Sons Of Liberty International.
The actions of the Obama administration do not reflect the heart of the American public majority. This great nation has always been “We the People”…and despite our leaders cruel indifference: Our Judeo-Christian Mercy remains, at the ready.
Shalom through strength…
