Another Gun Saves A Life.

How 1 Well-Placed Shot Turned an Ordinary Man Into a Hero

Screen Shot 2015-06-22 at 10.11.11 AMThey say practice makes perfect.
When it comes to shooting that’s not exactly true.
But practice can definitely help you perform a heck of a lot better than you could without substantial training time under your belt.
Which is why it’s a good idea to make it down to the range as often as you can…all so when it’s needed you can deliver a well placed shot to save yourself or a friend.
And one Knoxville, TN clerk is thankful his friend trained at the range.
That’s because his friend came in and dispatched a criminal who tried to rob him at gunpoint.
Guns N Freedom gives us the inside scoop.
Officers answered a call at 2:35 a.m. in  a report of shots fired at the Breadbox on 6200 block of Asheville Highway. When they arrived they found 18 year old Tamon on the floor with a single gunshot wound. Tamon was armed with a 9mm when he entered the store and forced the clerk to get behind the counter.
A male friend of the clerk was outside of the store sitting in his vehicle when he saw the armed robbery taking place. He retrieved his weapon, walked into the store, and fired a single shot that proved to be fatal.
Local news agencies checked to see if what the man did was legal in the state of TN or if charges would be brought.
“The law in Tennessee as to third party is basically the same as it is to any individual in self defense,” said Knox County District Attorney General Charme P. Allen. “If you walk upon a stranger and you think that stranger is fixing to be hurt, then you can act on behalf of that stranger.”
No other person was harmed in the incident. Tamon’s 9mm was thought to be stolen and the serial numbers had been removed.
Crime doesn’t always pay.
Practice on the other hand apparently does.
The only way someone would be able to walk up to an obviously desperate gun wielding criminal without so much as a hint of hesitation is if they were absolutely confident in their ability.
You can be sure he was nervous, but he still managed to save his friends life.
Hats off to that man for doing the right thing at the right time.
