Hillary Clinton on Tuesday gave the first nationally televised interview of her presidential campaign on CNN.

WASHINGTON — A day after Hillary Clinton said she’d “never had a subpoena” from the House Benghazi Committee regarding her emails, the committee released that subpoena.

“The committee immediately subpoenaed Clinton personally after learning the full extent of her unusual email arrangement with herself,” Benghazi Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) said in an accompanying statement.

During her first national television interview since entering the race, Clinton pushed back on a CNN reporter’s assertion that her emails had been subpoenaed.

“You know, you're starting with so many assumptions that are — I've never had a subpoena,” Clinton said.

“Everything I did was permitted by law and regulation. I had one device. When I mailed anybody in the government, it would go into the government system.”
