Wisconsin Senator Says Individuals Do NOT Have First Amendment Rights! Is She Nuts Or Is This The Future Of The US? Unfortunately, Probably The Latter!

Sen. Baldwin Wants You to Know You Don’t Have a First Amendment

Sen. Tammy Baldwin, Democrat from Wisconsin and member of the leftist Congressional Progressive
Caucus, said in an appearance on MSNBC that we don’t have First Amendment rights as individuals,
only institutions and businesses have those rights.
She said this:
“Certainly the first amendment says that in institutions of faith that there is absolute power to, you
know, to observe deeply held religious beliefs. But I don’t think it extends far beyond that. We’ve
seen the set of arguments play out in issues such as access to contraception. Should it be the
individual pharmacist whose religious beliefs guides whether a prescription is filled, or in this
context, they’re talking about expanding this far beyond our churches and synagogues to
businesses and individuals across this country. I think there are clear limits that have been
set in other contexts and we ought to abide by those in this new context across America.”
They’re trying to extend the First Amendment to individuals!!! Leftists want a redo on the
Constitution so they make it fit their ideology.
Thanks for your interpretation of the First Amendment Tammy but I’ll stick with the Founding
 Fathers’ version.
The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of
any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging
the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to
peaceably assemble or prohibiting …
We are clearly entitled to the free exercise of religion in the United States and it has been
upheld by the Supreme Court.
