An attorney for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump announced Friday that he was trying to find a homeless woman who was set upon by a crowd Thursday while demonstrating in support of Trump near his vandalized star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The incident was widely shared on Twitter.

Michael Cohen, executive vice president for the Trump Organization and Trump’s attorney, put out a call on Twitter to help locate the woman.

The woman, who held a sign reading, “20 Million Illegals and Americans sleep on the streets in tents. Vote Trump,” was harassed by a collection of people who surrounded her. In the process, the woman was knocked to the ground.
Video of the woman being attacked shows men shouting and cursing at her before raiding her cart.
“You spewed hate and you got hate,” one man tells the woman as she lies on the ground as bystanders tore her signs. “You got exactly what you were dishing out. I told you. I warned you.”
After the attack, a crowd mills about as some ponder whether to seek help for the woman.
The woman was finally identified.
