Propane Dealer To Trump Supporters: No Gas For You

The heat of the presidential election might leave some people out in the cold up in Skowhegan, Maine.
As Maine’s temperatures began their annual descent below freezing, the phones at Turner LP Gas Service in Skowhegan are ringing more frequently as customers look to refill their propane tanks to keep their homes warm.
According to the Portland Press-Herald, customers heard a unique greeting on Turner LP’s answering machine.
“If you voted for Donald Trump for president, I will no longer be delivering your gas. Please find someone else,” the message says.
The message was recorded by Michael Turner, the company’s owner.
The message also notes that propane gas costs $110 a bottle.
Turner recorded the message on Election Day, and has had more than a few angry Trump supporters leave their thoughts on his answering machine.
He called Trump “despicable” and added, “I think he’s the Antichrist.”
“He’s surrounding himself with white supremacists, racists, and now he’s got a bunch of generals going into his cabinet,” Turner said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he pulled a Fidel Castro — declare martial law and take over.”
However, Turner also believes his family members supported Trump because of Trump’s positions on gun rights and abortion.
So did many of his neighbors.
The county where Turner lives, Somerset County, gave Trump a 57.7 percent majority on Election Day.
“It’s just a statement,” Turner said. “If you voted for Trump, don’t tell me and I wouldn’t cut anyone off that was freezing.”
