Trump Responds To Obama Saying He Could Have Beaten Him In Election
Denial is not just a river in Egypt — it is also the lifeblood of President Barack Hussein Obama, a man whose delusions of grandeur make Flat Earthers look almost sane.
For instance, Obama appeared to be under the belief that had he run for a third term in office (which would have been unconstitutional, of course), he and his vision for America would have crushed then-Republican nominee Donald Trump and the “Make America Great Again” movement.
“I am confident in this vision because I’m confident that if I had run again and articulated it, I think I could’ve mobilized a majority of the American people to rally behind it,” he said in a CNN interview published Monday.
Trump vehemently disagreed.
“President Obama said that he thinks he would have won against me,” he tweeted Monday afternoon. “He should say that but I say NO WAY! – jobs leaving, ISIS, OCare, etc.”
Who was right? The facts suggested that Trump was. A 73 percent majority of American voters surveyed during the summer by The Wall Street Journal and NBC News said the nation was on the wrong track.
By mid-December, after Trump had defeated former Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, this number had dropped to 54 percent.
Considering that Clinton had “once said she would essentially serve as the third-term president of Obama’s legacy,” as reported by The Daily Caller, this drop after her humiliating defeat was very telling.
But this was just the tip of the iceberg. Consider the way Obama conducted himself in office these past eight years: He hobnobbed with Communist dictators, made friends with Iran and even embraced black radicals and gangster rappers.
He also failed on all fronts to eliminate the Islamic State group, which by August 2016 had spread across 18 nations and had “aspiring branches” in six more, including Egypt, Indonesia, Mali, the Philippines, Somalia and Bangladesh.
Truth be told, President Barack Obama has completely tarnished the White House, turning it from a beacon of American exceptionalism, strength and honor to a hotbed of corruption, cowardice and failure.
The notion that the American people would have preferred for the White House to remain this way is just plain laughable.
