On Friday, White House press secretary Sean Spicer tweeted from his personal Twitter account that he was thankful for the tens of thousands of people who showed up to Friday’s March for Life in Washington D.C.
“Thanks to everyone who came to DC today for #MarchForLife and show their support for life and #Adoption,” Spicer tweeted.

Thanks to everyone who came to DC today for  and show their support for life and

But for liberals, Spicer’s statement was out of line. They proceeded to take him to task in their replies to his tweet. Many people tried to downplay the magnitude of Friday’s march by comparing it to last weekend’s Women’s March on Washington, which was largely a protest against President Donald Trump, or by arguing that Republicans aren’t pro-life because they want to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Thanks to everyone who came to DC today for  and show their support for life and
@seanspicer @GOP will die fighting to save a embryo but will let a child die fighting for their life by taking away their healthcare.

Thanks to everyone who came to DC today for  and show their support for life and
@seanspicer Here's a guess. There will be 10% the number of people who came out for the women's march and Trump will claim more showed.

Thanks to everyone who came to DC today for  and show their support for life and

Thanks to everyone who came to DC today for  and show their support for life and
@seanspicer Pro-life? Did they march against gun violence, against climate change denial, the repeal of healthcare, the death penalty, war?

Thanks to everyone who came to DC today for  and show their support for life and
@seanspicer if you care about life what are you going to do gun violence

Thanks to everyone who came to DC today for  and show their support for life and
@seanspicer you're a press secretary. Report news and activity. Not your goddamn opinion.

Thanks to everyone who came to DC today for  and show their support for life and
@seanspicer They'll be screaming about repealing  and wanting to throw women/families off welfare. How !

Thanks to everyone who came to DC today for  and show their support for life and
@seanspicer But no money to feed starving babies and children. Save the fetus, starve babies and children. Right to Life my ass.

Friday’s March for Life was demonized by the mainstream media as the “anti-abortion” rally, instead of the pro-life march that it was.
However, the media covered last weekend’s women’s march nearly wall-to-wall and routinely compared the crowds it drew to the crowds of Trump’s inauguration just one day prior, despite the fact that pro-life groups were barred from marching with the women.
