People Of Good Conscience, Want To See What Trump Can Do!

MLK’s Son Walks Out of Trump Meeting, Says It Was Constructive

What word you think that Martin Luther King’s son would use upon meeting with Donald Trump? “Nasty,” perhaps? “Contentious?”
Well, how about “constructive?”
That’s what Martin Luther King III said upon meeting the president-elect, according to The Hill. Even when reporters tried to push him about criticisms Donald Trump had made of Democratic Rep. John Lewis — the one-time civil rights icon who made waves when he called Trump an “illegitimate” president — King’s son still wouldn’t go after the president-elect.

“Well, first of all, I think that in the heat of emotion, a lot of things get said on both sides. And I think that at some point — I am, as John Lewis and many others, a bridge builder,” King said after the Monday meeting, which took on the annual holiday commemorating his father’s life.
Describing the Trump Tower meeting as “very constructive,” King said that Trump told him that as president, he “is going to represent Americans.”
“He’s said that over and over again,” King said. “I think that we will continue to evaluate that.”

“I believe that’s his intent,” King continued. “I think that we have to consistently engage with pressure, public pressure. It doesn’t happen automatically, my father and his team understood that, did that, and I think that Americans are prepared to do that.”
Of course, that wasn’t what the media wanted to hear on Martin Luther King Day. According to Mediaite, CNN’s Jim Acosta went as far as to ask King, “isn’t there something that cuts to your core when you hear the president-elect refer to John Lewis as all talk and no action?”
Whenever you need the liberal media to remind you just how biased they are, you can always count on CNN to come through.
