Dems Should Be Careful With The Impeachment Talk, Your Actions Might Come Back To Haunt You.

RED ALERT: Dems Invoke 25th Amendment in Attempt to Oust Trump

The 25th Amendment, a little-known part of the Constitution enacted after the Kennedy assassination, establishes a procedure for removing presidents from office if they are somehow unable to do the job. It’s never been used by a political party as a threat against a sitting president. Thanks to the Democrat Party, that’s changed.
In the past few weeks, several Democrats have talked about invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Donald Trump from office due to alleged mental illness. Yes, apparently, Trump’s practice of doing exactly what he said during the campaign he was going to do — which got him elected in the first place — is totally insane to the Democrats.
The latest Democrat to invoke the 25th Amendment was Rep. Jackie Spier. The California congresswoman appeared on CNN this weekend to say that Trump “has got to get a grip. The 25th Amendment is there if the president becomes incapacitated.”

She’s hardly the only one. Breitbart reported that fellow California Democrat Rep. Karen Bass had started a petition to have the president psychiatrically evaluated, presumably with an eye toward 25th Amendment removal.
The Hill reported that another California Democrat (Calexit, anyone?), Rep. Ted Lieu, has introduced legislation that would require a psychologist or psychiatrist at the White House.
“I think it is a legitimate issue to raise. I am not a mental health professional, so I don’t know in terms of any sort of medical expertise on this. But I do see and hear the same things that other people see and hear, and a lot of people have concluded that what’s going on is not normal. So what do I do with that as a member of Congress?” Lieu said.

It’s good to see that Lieu is so concerned about a field he openly admits he knows nothing about. I wonder where he was when Hillary Clinton exhibited very real symptoms of physical illness on the campaign trail, like collapsing at the 9/11 memorial in September. Oh, that’s right, he was probably among the individuals painting anyone who talked about it as an irresponsible conspiracy theorist.
Democrat Rep. Earl Blumenauer of Oregon, meanwhile, wrote an op-ed for Oregon Live calling for a clarification of the 25th Amendment, again with an eye to removing Trump.
“The erratic behavior of Donald Trump has raised new questions about his mental and emotional capacity to discharge the tremendous burdens of the most powerful position in the world. It is the president who has the ability to launch nuclear weapons, unleashing untold devastation on the world. Presidents can create diplomatic chaos or move markets with the most carefully crafted declarations, let alone late-night tweets with the grammar and misspellings of a fifth-grader and decidedly unpresidential tone,” Blumenauer wrote.

The idea that the 25th Amendment could be used to remove President Trump from office because Democrats think that he’s “crazy” (read: he does things they don’t like) is utterly ridiculous. It’s opening a door to horrible things — and it’s something that American voters ought to be incredibly wary of.
