When Parents And Uncles Don't Let Justice Work, It Only Causes The Child Not To Learn From Their Experience

Joe Biden’s Niece Avoids Jail Time After Pleading Guilty to $110k in Fraud

It must be nice to be Joe Biden’s niece. Sure, you have to listen to Uncle Joe’s ramblings at the dinner table, but imagine the amount of privilege you’re going to have.
In fact, if you’re Caroline Biden, you can commit $100,000 worth of credit card fraud and not even spend a day in prison. That’s the gift she just received from Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Kevin McGrath, who approved a plea deal that would spare her from jail.
According to the New York Daily News, the niece of the former vice president reached the deal deal in a credit card scam case that will only have her serving two years probation if she stays out of trouble and completes the terms of the deal.

Even if she breaks the terms, the New York Post reported, she’ll only need to spend five years on probation. There’s nothing in the agreement that could land her behind bars.
And it’s not like this is a minor charge, in case the $100,000 price tag wasn’t a tipoff. Back in 2015, Caroline Biden had been given the victim’s credit card to make a $672 purchase. Instead, she used it to open a line of credit for herself at C.O. Bigelow Apothecary, a swanky health and beauty store in New York City.
Between April 5, 2015 and June 24, 2016, the 29-year-old Biden managed to spend a whopping $110,000. She now must make restitution and stay out of trouble, which would have the charge lowered to petty larceny.

You may not be surprised to learn that this isn’t Biden’s first time in trouble. Back in 2013, she also reached a no-jail agreement over a fight with her roommate over unpaid rent which eventually ended with her trying to punch a female cop.
“I shouldn’t be handcuffed!” she allegedly told cops during the arrest. “You don’t know who you’re doing this to!”
That ended with her ending with a stint in rehab; while her lawyers said it was for “anger management,” the facility she was at would only treat anger management “in the context of a broader drug addiction treatment,” according to the New York Post.
This time she didn’t even have to go to rehab, no, no, no. Over 100 grand worth of credit card fraud and she’s still just going to be spending her time on probation. Unbelievable.
