Another associate of Special Counsel Robert Mueller has been
caught showing bias towards President Trump.

New York’s Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who is assisting Mueller’s
investigation into Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election, boasted
about his “year of legal resistance” to Trump’s Administration.

In a post on the website Medium, Schneiderman bragged about filing “over
100 official acts and legal challenges to protect New Yorkers from Washington’s
 harmful agenda.”

These include everything from reproductive rights (abortion) to environmental
lawsuits by filing a brief to stop Trump’s travel ban.

Schneiderman is allowed his political opinions — even as the Attorney General
of New York State — but his connection to the Mueller probe raises eyebrows
about whether his clear anti-Trump bias is further undermining the reputation
of the investigation.

The extent of cooperation between Schneiderman’s office and Mueller’s team
is unknown to the public, but unnamed sources revealed to Politico in August
that the two were working together to investigate Paul Manafort, Trump’s
former campaign manager.

Together, Mueller and Schneiderman teamed up to collect “evidence on financial
crimes, including potential money laundering” for Manafort. Considering that
Manafort is considered by some to be the largest piece of the puzzle in the
Russia investigation, Schneiderman’s involvement is substantial.

This disclosure isn’t the first time charges of bias have rocked Mueller's
investigation. Earlier this month, texts from 2016 between FBI agent Peter
Strzok and his mistress, Lisa Page — who were both assisting Mueller —
noted their desire to develop an anti-Trump “insurance” scheme to bring
down then-candidate Trump if he were elected.
