In the wake of news reports this week that Hillary Clinton’s email server was hacked by a Chinese-owned company, talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh is wondering where the denials are from the former U.S. secretary of state and former President Obama.
“Has anybody seen Barack Hussein O or Hillary Clinton on TV denying the news story that the Chinese government had real-time hacked access to Hillary Clinton’s computer, her home-brew server and network when she was secretary of state? I haven’t seen that,” Limbaugh said on his national broadcast Wednesday.
“Has anybody seen Obama and Hillary indignant? Has anybody seen them on television flat-out refusing, denying, saying this is absurd? Anybody seen that? You haven’t.”
As WND reported Tuesday, the private email server through which Mrs. Clinton transmitted classified information as secretary of state was hacked by a Chinese-owned company, according to sources briefed on the matter who spoke to the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Copies of nearly all of Clinton’s emails were forwarded to the company in real time through a code embedded in the server as part of an intelligence operation, the sources said.
The FBI failed to act when the Intelligence Community Inspector General warned of the problem, Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, said at a July 12 House Committee on the Judiciary hearing, as WND reported.
President Trump tweeted about the matter Tuesday night, saying: “Hillary Clinton’s Emails, many of which are Classified Information, got hacked by China. Next move better be by the FBI & DOJ or, after all of their other missteps (Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Ohr, FISA, Dirty Dossier etc.), their credibility will be forever gone!”
“Do you realize what a hellacious charge this is?” Limbaugh asked.
“It’s real-time access to her computer. Not to mention the spy that was on Dianne Feinstein’s staff for 20 years.
“The ChiComs essentially had a screen-sharing app real time. They simply could watch Hillary Clinton do whatever she did on her computer. And if she got an email from Obama, they could read it as she opened it. Real-time screen sharing is essentially what the nature of the hack was. And they’re not denying it.”
Limbaugh surmised if the story were not true, “we would have flat-out denials. Instead, they’re hoping that the media not reporting means nobody will see it.”
While Clinton and Obama may have not personally reacted to the story, Nick Merrill, a Clinton spokesman, dismissed the charge, telling the DCNF: “This is the most combed over subject in modern American political history.”Out More >
“The FBI spent thousands of hours investigating, and found no evidence of intrusion. That’s a fact,” Merrill added. “But in an age where facts are alternative and truth isn’t truth, it’s no surprise that an outlet like the Daily Caller would try to distract us from very real and very immediate threats to our democracy brought by the man occupying the White House.”
The FBI, meanwhile, told NBC News Wednesday the bureau “has not found any evidence the (Clinton) servers were compromised.”
Limbaugh took a shot at the national news media for their apparent lack of interest in the story, saying: “A real media would be camped outside Hillary’s house and Obama’s house and demanding to know what the hell was going on with the Chinese government having real-time hacked her computer, her home brew server, while she was secretary of state. A real media would be. And the fact that nobody is reacting to it and they’re not out there denying this, they’re not even breaking a sweat over it. But they will.”
Trump sent out a joking tweet about Hillary’s server Tuesday night, saying: “Report just out: ‘China hacked Hillary Clinton’s private Email Server.’ Are they sure it wasn’t Russia (just kidding!)? What are the odds that the FBI and DOJ are right on top of this? Actually, a very big story. Much classified information!”
