Harry Reid’s CHILLING warning causes total chaos
Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has returned to the public stage with a chilling warning for Democrats — and it has left party insiders panicked.
Reid warned that President Donald Trump is looking strong in his re-election campaign.
In an panel interview at University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ William S. Boyd Law School last Thursday, Reid agreed with former Sen. Dean Heller, R-N.V., that Trump can easily be re-elected.
Don’t count Trump and his supporters out, they both warned the liberal crowd. They agreed that Democrats who are pushing the party to the far-left could be in for a disturbing surprise at the ballot box.
“I think you would be misguided if you didn’t think Donald Trump can’t be reelected,” Heller said. “When I go to Costco, when I go to Walmart, everybody wants to tell me how they’re going to vote. But here’s the common thing that I find in it, it’s this: if I have to choose between crazy and socialism, I’m going with crazy.”
Reid agreed with Heller’s assessment.
The former Democratic leader warned the crowd that Republicans were backing Trump — unlike liberals, who are fighting a civil war for how far-left the Democratic Party will be in the 2020 election.
“All the criticism [of Trump] comes from the Democrats and that’s wrong … If anyone thinks Trump can’t be re-elected, they better get another thing coming. He can be re-elected,” Reid said.
“Hope to hell he isn’t,” he added.
In recent months, Reid has become increasingly critical of the direction of the Democratic Party. In a recent interview with Vice, Reid said that Democrats push for “Medicare-for-All” and open borders will turn away American voters.
“People want a fair immigration system. They don’t want an open-door invitation for everybody to come at once,” Reid said.
“There are so many more important things to do,” Reid continued. “Decriminalizing border crossings is not something that should be at the top of the list … it should be way, way down at the bottom.”
“I’m pretty damn worried,” Reid told The Daily Beast in August regarding the 2020 presidential election.
“Anybody that thinks he’s going to be beaten easily is wrong,” he said. “As sad as it is. As hard as it is for me to say this: Don’t count that man out.”
There it is, folks.
The Democratic Party has swung so far-left, even liberal leader Harry Reid is “damn worried” about their future.
