Barack Obama recently made waves when Obama made sure comments he made to an alumni association of former Obama administration officials leaked to Yahoo News.
Obama planted a strategic leak of his comments in which he was raving like a madman about the Department of Justice filing a motion to drop all criminal charges against former National Security Advisor Lt. General Michael Flynn to help prep the ground for upcoming Democrat smears against President Trump for overseeing an alleged “culture of corruption.”
The former President claimed the Department of Justice seeking to drop these charges somehow amounted to an attack on the rule of law.
Trey Gowdy shut down Obama’s attacks during an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News.
Gowdy rebutted Obama’s false claims by turning Obama’s words around on him.
“Where is [Obama’s] respect for the rule of law for the crime that Michael Flynn was the victim of?” Gowdy wondered.
The Department of Justice only filed a motion to dismiss the charges against Lt. General Flynn after United States Attorney Jeffrey Jensen examined the case and recommended dropping the charges against him after Jensen detailed numerous acts of FBI misconduct.
Gowdy also poked holes in Obama’s falsehood by noting that the floodgates of discovering the FBI’s corruption came after Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz issued his report detailing 17 significant errors and omissions in the FBI’s FISA warrant applications to spy on former Trump campaign aide Carter Page.
“He picked [Justice Department Inspector General] Michael Horowitz, that was an Obama pick,” Gowdy began.
“Michael Horowitz found fault after fault after fault with the FISA [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act] program and [former FBI Director] Jim Comey and [former FBI Deputy Director] Andy McCabe, so I am delighted to hear President Obama’s newfound interest and respect for the rule of law,” the former South Carolina Congressman added. “I just wish he would apply it equally to Republicans and Democrats.”
Gowdy pointed out that in 2016, the FBI began – while Obama was still President – lying to the FISA court about the Christopher Steele dossier claims that Page colluded with the Russians that formed the basis for the warrant applications.
These claims were never verified, but the FBI omitted this fact from their warrant applications which also violated the Bureau’s standard operating procedures.

“The FBI used a dossier that was bought and paid for by your political party without vetting a single factual allegation in that dossier,” he said. “You put it in front of a federal judge, where is your concern for respect for the rule of law as it relates to Carter Page and what happened to him?” Gowdy wondered.
Obama was a lawless President presiding over a gangster government.
