Native Americans Don't Agree With The Leftist View Of Indian Names On Sports Teams

Here’s What NINE Out Of TEN Native

Americans Think About The ‘Redskins’

Name!

You would think that after years of bitter acrimony brought on by debating whether the Washington NFL
team’s name is offensive to Native Americans that SOMEONE might have had the bright idea to actually
ASK Native Americans what they thought!
Yeah, seriously, like it took 5 years.
Here’s what they said:
Nine in 10 Native Americans say they are not offended by the Washington Redskins name,

according to a new Washington Post poll that shows how few ordinary Indians have been

persuaded by a national movement to change the football team’s moniker.
The survey of 504 people across every state and the District reveals that the minds of Native

Americans have remained unchanged since a 2004 poll by the Annenberg Public Policy Center

found the exact same result. Responses to The Post’s questions about the issue were broadly

consistent regardless of age, income, education, political party or proximity to reservations.
So the owner of the Redskins totally ran with this, and hopefully we don’t have to debate this stupid
crap anymore.
Because what’s better than white liberals telling Native Americans that they should be offended at
football and Native Americans telling them to screw off?
I can’t think of anything at the moment.
