This Is How Our Kids Are Being Un-Educated

Iowa State Professor Says Students Will Be Removed From Class If They Argue Against Liberal Agendas

(PoliticalLookout.com)- A professor at Iowa State University has threatened action against students who argue against liberal positions such as abortion and Black Lives Matter.

Chloe Clark, an English professor at the university, issued a “GIANT WARNING” to her students on the syllabus she gave them. It warned that she could dismiss students from the class if they contradicted certain left-wing viewpoints.

Young America’s Foundation obtained a copy of the syllabus, which reads:

“Any instances of othering … are grounds for dismissal from the classroom. The same goes for any papers/projects: you cannot choose any topic that takes at its base that one side doesn’t deserve the same basic human rights as you do (i.e.: no arguments against gay marriage, abortion, Black Lives Matter, etc.)”

The university doesn’t agree with Clark’s position, though. A spokeswoman gave a statement to the Washington Free Beacon that said the syllabus is “inconsistent” with their commitment to the First Amendment rights of students.

Clark has since changed the syllabus, and she was also given information about the First Amendment policies of the university, the spokeswoman said. She continued:

“The university does not take disciplinary action against students based on the content or viewpoint expressed in their speech.”

While the university’s action would seem to appease conservatives, groups at the university believe the school only took action because of the national media coverage the situation was attracting. As Ryan Hurley, the president of the Iowa State College Republicans, said:

“[Clark] is not out of the ordinary. Many professors do these sorts of things and have these heavy left biases. I am also certain that if [articles about the syllabus] hadn’t come out and gotten attention, [Clark] would not have faced any university pushback.”

Clark didn’t respond to requests for comment from the Washington Free Beacon or other news outlets.

This isn’t the only case where universities have attempted to suppress the speech of students who talk out against liberal agendas. Earlier this year, Florida State University’s student senate removed its president for saying in a private group chat that he believed Black Lives Matter is an anti-Catholic movement.

In his place, the student senate elected Ahmad Daraldik to the position – a man who created a

Earlier this year, Florida State University’s student senate removed its president for saying in a private group chat that he believed Black Lives Matter is an anti-Catholic movement.

In his place, the student senate elected Ahmad Daraldik to the position – a man who created a website that calls the existence of Israel a continuation of the Holocaust. On two separate occasions, he wrote “f**k Israel” as well as “stupid Jew” in captions. He also wrote that, “the Holocaust never ended, it just moved to Palestine.”

The executive direct of Hillel at FSU, Dan Leshem, said in response:

“These claims go beyond legitimate criticism of Israeli policies and into modern reincarnations of centuries-old ‘blood libels’ that have been used as the justification for the murder of thousands of Jews over the past millennium.”

At Cornell University, a law professor was attached by both students and other faculty for writing a critical blog about Black Lives Matter.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago even removed an economics professor from the University of Chicago from his role at the bank because he criticized the movement to “Defund the Police.”website that calls the existence of Israel a continuation of the Holocaust.
