Why Did Kim Davis Give In To Illegal Order? Is Her Devotion To Marriage Limited To Only Putting HER Name On The Marriage License? If So, This Is A loss

Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis Released From Jail

Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk who refused to issue same-sex marriage licenses, walked out of jail on Tuesday after the U.S. district court judge who found her in contempt said he was satisfied licenses were being issued in accordance with a U.S. Supreme Court decision.U.S. District Judge David Bunning ordered her release after six days in jail, saying she "shall not interfere in any way, directly or indirectly, with the efforts of her deputy clerks to issue marriage licenses to all legally eligible couples."

If she tries to interfere, "that will be considered a violation of this Order and appropriate sanctions will be considered," Bunning said.
Davis was greeted by over one thousand singing and shouting supporters. "I just want to give God his glory," an emotional Davis said in brief remarks to supporters after being released from jail.
"She will do her job good and she will serve the people as they want her to serve. She will also be loyal to God and she is not going to violate her conscience," her lawyer, Mathew Staver, said, with his arm around Davis. She was also flanked by Republic presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.
Staver, the founder of Christian religious advocacy group Liberty Counsel, said Davis would continue to ask for an accommodation to remove her name and her authority from the marriage certificates.
Huckabee called her a "brave lady" for her willingness to go to jail for what she believed.
Another Republican president hopeful, Ted Cruz, was seen entering and leaving the Carter County Detention Center.

State Representative David Hale, a Davis supporter who was in the crowd, said he will push for legislation to take marriage licenses out of the hands of county clerks and move it to the Office of Vital Statistics.
Latest News Update
Not everyone in the crowd was a Davis supporter.
"I am only OK with it if she agrees to do her job," said Beth Baker, of Grayson.
As an Apostolic Christian, Davis says she believes a marriage can only be between a man and a woman. She has refused to issue any marriage licenses since the U.S. Supreme Court in June made same-sex marriages legal across the United States.
While she was jailed, the county's deputy clerks issued marriage licenses to several same-sex couples.
Davis, who is 9 days shy of her 50th birthday, was ordered into custody by Bunning on Sept. 3 after continuing to defy his order to issue the licenses in accordance with the law.
Bunning secured the assurances of five of six deputy clerks who stated under oath that they would comply with the court's orders and issue licenses to all legally eligible couples.
The deputies will need to file status reports every fourteen days to prove they are in compliance, the order said.
Davis, a Democrat, was elected to her position in November 2014 after 27 years as deputy clerk of Rowan County. She took over the office from her mother, who served for 37 years. Her son Nathan, a deputy clerk, was the only one not to pledge compliance with the judge's orders.

Her faith became central to her life in the last four years, following the death of her mother-in-law, she said in a statement issued last week through her legal representatives, Liberty Counsel.
Grayson, a town in northeastern Kentucky, canceled school out of concern over increased traffic coinciding with dismissal time.

Of Course Hillary Got Classified Emails On Her Server! It Is Stupid To Believe She Did Not Get Sensitive Documents Via Email!

NYT: Clinton Received Top Secret Emails on Unsecured Server

A new intelligence review concludes Hillary Clinton received two "top secret" emails on her personal server as secretary of state – including one about North Korea's nuclear weapons program, The New York Times reports.

According to the Times, the review by the CIA and the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, completed Monday, determined the messages held the nation’s highest classification of government intelligence.

Its findings were similar to those made by the inspector general.

According to the Times, one email had information about North Korea's nuclear weapons program.

As the Clinton campaign did about the inspector general's conclusion, it took issue with the intelligence review too, the Times reports.

"Our hope remains that these releases continue without being hampered by bureaucratic infighting among the intelligence community, and that the releases continue to be as inclusive and transparent as possible," campaign spokesman Nick Merrill tells the Times.

Added State Department spokesman John Kirby:

"Classification is rarely a black and white question, and it is common for the State Department to engage internally and with our interagency partners to arrive at the appropriate decision," he says in a statement to the Times.

"Very often both the State Department and the intelligence community acquire information on the same matter through separate channels. Thus, there can be two or more separate reports and not all of them based on classified means. At this time, any conclusion about the classification of the documents in question would be premature."

Clinton, whose poll numbers have been slipping amid the email scandal, remains adamantly defensive, telling the Associated Press Monday "what I did was allowed," and that she doesn't need to apologize for using a private server.

"I did not send or receive any information marked classified," Clinton insists . "I take the responsibilities of handling classified materials very seriously and did so."

How Can A Clerk Be Imprisoned Without Bail While Murders Get A Get Out Of Jail Card!

Why Can't the Kentucky Clerk Get Bail?

By Greg Richter   |   Sunday, 06 Sep 2015 03:45 PM

Rowan County, Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis has been jailed without bail since Thursday for refusing to allow her office to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

Her attorney, Matthew Staver, says that even some people accused of murder are allowed to be free on bail while their trial is pending.

"This woman who hasn't done any crime at all," Staver told Newsmax on Sunday. "She's being held without bail for an indefinite period of time. In fact, one of the U.S. marshals when they were directed by the judge to take her into custody told her he had never arrested somebody who had not committed a crime."

GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee told ABC's "This Week" Sunday that there is a double standard for liberals and conservatives when it comes to violating same-sex marriage laws. He pointed to former San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome and President Barack Obama's former Attorney General Eric Holder for allowing same-sex marriage when it was illegal, yet suffering no consequences.

But Davis, who says same-sex marriage violates her Christian beliefs, is in control of her own destiny, Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz tells Newsmax.
Latest News Update

"She can get out immediately," Dershowitz said. "All she has to do is resign her job … and say, 'Look, I can't do this in conscience. And because I can't do it in conscience, I really can't hold the job of being clerk.' That's the principled decision."

Davis' being able to continue to serve as county clerk while refusing to issue marriage licenses would be comparable to a conscientious objector, rather than declining to enter the Army, joining instead, then refusing to follow orders, Dershowitz said.

U.S. District Court Judge David Bunning has said he jailed Davis without bail in an effort to force her to comply on the U.S. Supreme Court ruling this summer legalizing gay marriage nationally. Allowing her to pay a fine wouldn't have worked, Bunning said, because Davis has a large group of supporters willing to cover the cost.

Staver, Davis' lawyer, is skeptical that Bunning ever even considered a fine – even though the gay couples seeking the original injuction against Davis specifically requested a fine and not jail time.

The temporary injunction ended at the end of the day August 31, Staver said, and at 10:30 the next morning a motion for contempt was filed. Bunning set a 1 p.m. hearing, allowing only a five-page response, when the rules allow for 20 pages.

When the hearing was held 48 hours later, Bunning already had the jailer – who had to travel from another county – in the courtroom ready to take Davis into custody.

"Then when he read he was going to confine her, he read from a prepared statement he had already written, and didn't give civil penalties at a graduated rate," Staver said. Jailing Davis was the judge's intent "from the very beginning," Staver said.

University of Alabama School of Law professor Ronald Krotoszynski Jr. tells Newsmax that he was surprised as well. A judge usually starts with a fine first, Krotoszynski said, before moving to incarceration. The exception is with journalists who refuse to give up their confidential sources.

Staver is appealing the decision to the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, but Krotoszynski said he doesn't expect to see the decision overturned.

Unless the Sixth Circuit finds the judge was "wildy inappropriate" in his ruling, it will stand, he said.

Staver feels differently, telling Newsmax, "This is just this particular judge who violates the rule of law to reach his desired end."

Conservatives Are Jailed While Liberals Go Free!

Huckabee: Liberals Break Marriage Laws But Conservatives Are Arrested With 'No Bail'

By Greg Richter   |   Sunday, 06 Sep 2015 01:22 PM

There seem to be two sets of rules when it comes to breaking marriage laws: liberals get a pass, while conservatives are jailed without bail, GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee says.

Appearing Sunday on ABC's "This Week," Huckabee said liberal Democrats such as former San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome and President Barack Obama's administration have ignored federal marriage laws without punishment, unlike Kim Davis, county clerk for Rowan County, Ky., who has been sitting in jail since Thursday.

Story continues below video.

"You've got Democrats who ignored the law when it was the law to have traditional marriage," Huckabee said. "Gavin Newsome in San Francisco as mayor, performed same-sex weddings, even though it was illegal. Did he ever get put in jail? He most certainly did not."

Likewise, he said, Obama and his former Attorney General Eric Holder ignored the rulings favoring the Defense of Marriage Act.

"Did they get put in law for ignoring the law?" Huckabee asked. "They most certainly did not. When do liberals get to choose which laws they support ,and a county clerk in Kentucky acting on her Christian faith, criminalized and jailed without bail because she acted on her conscience and according to the only law in front of her?

Huckabee plans to attend a rally in support of Davis on Tuesday.

India Follows Shmittah!

Times of India Raises Eyebrows by Noting Spooky Connection Between Shmittah and Current Global Financial Meltdown

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10)
A recent article in the Times of India business section has raised quite a few eyebrows. The article, published in India’s third largest newspaper, suggested a connection between the Jewish concept of Shmittah and the current global financial hardship caused by crashes in international stock markets.
Many have cried foul, claiming the articles assertions are a form of anti-Semitism. In the comments section, many readers were insulted, with one critic claiming the writer was “perhaps unconsciously borrowing from anti-Semitic conspiracy theories,” labeling the article “pernicious and slanderous.” Another reader called the article “blatant anti-Semitism.”
Is this article another attempt at anti-Semitism, a modern version of Protocols of the Elders of Zion, or is it an unexpected affirmation that Biblical concepts are true and relevant in our modern world?
Breaking Israel News has written several articles on the topic of Shmittah cycle, most recently detailing a statistical analysis of the Shmittah as it appears throughout the history of the American stock market. There were many reactions to the article, including those who dismissed it, claiming that Shmittah was an agricultural system for allowing fields to lie fallow. In fact, Shmittah is also a system for absolving loans and wiping out debt every seven years, so in its Biblical form, the seven year cycle clearly applies to financial systems.
The Times of India article linked Shmittah to several known financial disasters, citing the largest Wall Street crash in 1987, the 9/11 attacks and the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy, which led to a major low in the Dow Jones, as all being connected to the Shmittah. Of course, the concern on Dalal Street, Mumbai’s version of New York’s Wall Street, is for the future centered on their financial investments.
The author of the Times of India article takes an almost frantic interest in this obscure Biblical concept, even quoting the head of a leading investment firm in India saying that Shmittah cannot be ignored. But he is not the only one.
On August 24 and August 25, a Google Trends search for “Shemitah” had a score of 100, meaning 10 percent or more of all the searches on that day was for this particular word. A YouTube video on the subject got over one million views in two months. Social network platforms even have groups dedicated to Shmittah and coping with potential crashes.
The global concern surrounding Shmittah and its connection to financial disasters is understandable. While it seems clear that the Times of India particular article does not mean to imply that Jews or Jewish law caused financial catastrophes, the author is simply noting a coincidental relationship that investors might be wise to take into account when planning their investment strategy.
