Trump Saw Troops Standing Guard During Christmas, So He Broke Out the Checkbook
Being away from friends and family at Christmas time can be tough. But for some military and law enforcement personnel who found themselves working, President Donald Trump made sure this Christmas was a little extra special.
Trump and his family spent Christmas Day at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida. As you can imagine, it took quite a number of personnel to protect the first family.
According to CNN’s Noah Gray, Trump gave military and the Mar-a-Lago security personnel who were tasked with protecting him free meals throughout the day.
Noah wrote, “President Trump is spending Christmas day w/ family at Mar A Lago, while providing feast for military & law enforcement, a source tells me.”
He continued:
The best thing about this story, though, is that the meals were paid for out of Trump’s own pocket.
When Trump does something, you know he’s going to do it all out, and these weren’t skimpy meals. According to Gray, the personnel were given a “‘full Christmas spread’ featuring Turkey & dessert buffet.”
Later on that day, the president took to Twitter to wish everyone a merry Christmas. He wrote, “I hope everyone is having a great Christmas, then tomorrow it’s back to work in order to Make America Great Again (which is happening faster than anyone anticipated)!”
It’s pretty clear how Trump feels about our military and law enforcement.
Contrast this with the way former President Obama took the opportunity to bash law enforcement officers any chance he got while he was in office.
The country needs a commander in chief who understands and recognizes the sacrifices that our military and law enforcement personnel make on a day-to-day basis.

What did you think of the spread President Trump provided for his security personnel?
