Report: Jane Fonda's Mother Had 9 Abortions

Jane Fonda has revealed more details of her mother's troubled life, saying she discovered her mother had been sexually abused from a young age and had nine abortions before giving birth to the actress.
The MailOnline revealed the new details in a report about a speech the liberal activist made at afundraising event in Beverly Hills for a charity benefiting the victims of rape.
The 76-year-old liberal activist said she discovered the abuse after recently reading her mother's medical records .
"The minute I read that, everything fell into place," she said. "I knew [the reason for] the promiscuity, the endlessplastic surgery , the guilt, the inability to love or be intimate, and I was able to forgive her and forgive myself," she said.
Fonda told friends she believes that a piano tuner sexually abused her mother, Frances, who suffered from bipolar disorder and ultimately committed suicide, the Mail reported.
