Trump to Media: Ask Hillary Why She Didn't "Turn In" Donna Brazile
According to emails released by WikiLeaks, interim DNC chair and former CNN contributor Donna Brazile provided the Clinton campaign with the exact wording of a question in advance of a 2016 town hall event hosted by that network. "From time to time I get the questions in advance," was the email subject line written from Brazile and delivered to Clinton campaign chair John Podesta's hacked Gmail account.
Fox News Channel's Megyn Kelly grilled Brazile Wednesday night about the allegations from WikiLeaks. Brazile categorically denied them and accused those asking the question of "persecuting" her. "As a Christian woman, I understand persecution," Brazile told Kelly. "Your information is false... You're like a thief."
At a rally Friday afternoon in Fletcher, North Carolina, Republican nominee Donald Trump said that if the allegations are true, Brazile should resign from her position as interim chairperson of the Democratic National Committee. He also wondered why no one has asked Hillary Clinton about getting the question in advance.
He wondered: "I don't know what I'd do. Would I turn the people in?"
"But I ask you, why didn't Hillary say, 'I can't do this? I cant take these questions," he asked.
"Nobody from the media is asking that question," he said. "Why is it?"
"Hillary got the questions in advance, and the press doesn't even bring it up," he said. "I have to ask the press to find out. Why aren't they asking Hillary why she didn't turn in the people that gave her the answers and those questions?"

DONALD TRUMP: The media is so corrupt that Hillary was given the exact wording of a question from a previous debate! Remember this? Just recently.
Word for word, given the questions. Here are the questions... Nobody gave me the questions.
I don't know what I'd do. Would I turn the people in? Or would I take the questions?
She was given the question-- I think I'd turn them in, I think I'd ask what's going on over here.
I want to know, was she given the questions to my debate. But it doesn't matter because we won...
But she was given the questions to a debate by Donna Brazile, who is now under pressure to resign. She should resign.
But I ask you, why didn't Hillary say, 'I can't do this... I can't take these questions?'
Nobody from the media is asking that question. Why is it? They're putting a lot of pressure on Donna Brazile. She was on television the other night. It was brutal. They're putting a lot of pressure on her, but tell me, she handed the questions to Hillary. She figured out the answers, put whatever she had to do, and then why she didn't she say: 'I'm not allowed to do this'?
Years ago, years ago, there was a show called the $64,000 Question. Does anybody remember? Don't say it? Really? A contestant... got the questions in advance, prior to the show and his life was ruined. But Hillary got the questions in advance, and the press doesn't even bring it up.
Can you imagine if I got the questions in advance and they found out?
Can you, can you imagine if I got the questions and they found out? They would reinvent a much more sinister form of the electric chair, is that right? It would be awful. I have to ask the press to find out. Why aren't they asking Hillary why she didn't turn in the people that gave her the answers and those questions?
The email from Brazile, who worked at CNN at the time, said:

When You Cheat You Must Be Able To Face The Music
This 1 Question Megyn Kelly Asks DNC Chief On Live TV Makes Her A Mumbling Mess

Persecution happens all of the time in this cold, cruel world. People in China and Russia being jailed for their political beliefs. Christians being slaughtered by the Islamic State barbarians. The head of the Democratic National Committeebeing asked why she slipped a critical question to Hillary Clinton before a televised town hall.
Wait, what?!
If one of those things doesn’t sound like persecution to you, don’t tell the DNC’s Donna Brazile. The way she lost it when Fox News’ Megyn Kelly challenged her on live TV Wednesday night was telling indeed.
During a debate-night appearance on “The Kelly File,” Brazile said that “as a Christian woman, I understand persecution,” and that Kelly asking her any questions about the purloined material was just that.
Here’s the backstory: Brazile, a Clinton functionary and former high-profile contributor at CNN, became head of the DNC after Debbie Wasserman Schultz was forced to resign due to hacked emails released by WikiLeaks on the eve of the Democratic National Convention. Those emails indicated Wasserman Schultz used the DNC as a de facto arm of the Clinton campaign against Bernie Sanders during the primaries.
Wasserman Schultz wasn’t the only DNC head to be taken out by WikiLeaks, though. When Clinton campaign manager John Podesta’s email archives were plumbed by the group, it found a stunning email from Brazile, passing on a question ahead of the CNN town hall back in March.

According to RealClearPolitics, the email was titled, “From time to time I get the questions in advance.”
“Here’s one that worries me about HRC. DEATH PENALTY 19 states and the District of Columbia have banned the death penalty. 31 states, including Ohio, still have the death penalty. According to the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, since 1973, 156 people have been on death row and later set free. Should Ohio and the 30 other states join the current list and abolish the death penalty?” the email read.
The question was then asked by Roland Martin at the CNN town hall. When confronted about the email by Kelly, Brazile responded, “Well, Kelly, as I play straight up and with you, I did not receive any questions from CNN.”
From CNN? Was that a Hillary-like, lawyerly dodge with just enough wiggle room to claim that truth was a distant cousin? Watch for yourself:

Asked how she got the question she passed along to help Hillary prepare, she first played dumb, and then played the persecution card.
“As a Christian woman, I understand persecution. your information is false,” Brazile said “What you’re — well, for suggestive emails were stolen. You’re interested and you’re like a thief that wants to bring into the night the things that.”
If that sounds a bit like an an e e cummings poem to you, you’re not alone. Brazile later said that it was “falsified information,” while studiously avoiding any sort of denial of writing the suspect email to Clinton’s campaign chairman.
“Megyn, I’ll say it on the record. I’m not going to try to validate falsified information,” Brazile said.
“I have my documents. I have my files. Thank God I have not had my personal emails ripped off from me and stolen and given to some criminals to come back altered. I have my records and files. And as i said repeatedly, CNN, I never received anything.”
Really, Donna. You’ve been friends with the Clintons for how long and you can’t spin and dance better than that?
In case you’re keeping score, there have been two heads of the Democratic National Committee this year, and both have been caught unethically assisting the Clinton campaign. It’s worth pointing out Brazile did it before she was the head of the DNC.
It’s also worth pointing out that Donna Brazile’s title is still an interim one. Given her performance on “The Kelly File” Wednesday, I wouldn’t start buying office furniture yet.
What do you think about Donna Brazile's statement?
