Trump's Numbers Are Up. Maybe He Should Travel More!!

THE PRESIDENT ABROAD: Trump's Approval Rating Pops To 48 Percent. Here Are 3 Reasons Why.

On Wednesday, Rasmussen Reports released its daily presidential tracking
poll, putting Trump at a 48 percent approval rating. That’s a four-point jump in
two days from Rasmussen, and a five point increase from his recent low of 43
percent on May 16. Now, it’s worth noting that other polls are far less favorable
to Trump – two contemporaneous polls, The Economist and Gallup, have him
at 40 percent and 38 percent respectively.
But if the Trump bump is real, it makes some sense. That’s for three reasons.
1. Trump Isn’t Tweeting. Because Trump is overseas and busily traveling the
globe, he’s not up at all hours watching MSNBC and CNN and tweeting nasty
notes to the hosts, or retweeting botched summaries of
Fox & Friends chyrons. He’s also not pouring more gasoline on the Trump-
Russia kindling the media have set – he hasn’t tweeted about FBI director
James Comey or reports that he told intelligence officials he’d appreciate it
if they’d exonerate him or any of the other anonymous material coming out
daily from the media. That means that these stories tend to die quickly, since
anonymous stories aren’t being confirmed by Trump’s own hand – and since
Trump isn’t insisting that his communications team rush to the nearest
microphone to parrot his talking points. Most of the damage on the Trump-
Russia score has been self-inflicted – and that’s easy to see when Trump
stops inflicting said damage on himself.
2. The Country Isn’t Collapsing. Trump left the country; the country is fine.
The left promulgates a myth whereby the president must sit at the controls of
the airliner that is the United States each and every minute lest we all go full
Zombie Apocalypse on one another. Instead, Trump is out of the country
partying it up with glowing orbs and swords, and the country’s getting along
just fine. Nobody’s dying. Nobody’s panicking. In other words, a predictable
government is the best available option, and Trump gallivanting around
reminds us all that he’s not capable of screwing this up.
3. Terrorism Is A Winning Issue For Trump. The terror attack on Monday
obviously helps Trump politically because the left is so damned irresponsible
about it. Trump’s perspective – fewer unvetted Muslims in the West means
fewer unvetted Muslims killing other people in the West – is eminently correct.
His skepticism of radical Islam resonates far better than the left’s asinine John
Lennon Imagine-esque pseudo-philosophy. Trump was elected to “bomb the
s***” out of ISIS. Seeing the slaughter of eight-year-old girls at a pop concert
reminds people that’s a task worth pursuing.
President Trump should be making notes. When he comes back to the United
States, he should be the same President Trump we’re seeing abroad: muted
but strong, a bombastic showman when the time is right.

Could ISIS get its hands on a nuclear warhead? The Economist seems to
think so, calling that scenario “the stuff of nightmares,” in their recent review
of former Secretary of Defense Bill Perry’s five-minute film. Perry’s film
explores what a potential nuclear attack might look like and notes that a plot
similar to the one he outlined could be planned and carried out in the United
States right under our noses. His “nightmare” ends with mass hysteria and the
death of over eighty thousand people, including Congress and the President.

It’s a little bit dramatic, but it’s not far from the truth. There are many reasons
to fear nuclear weapons might end up in the wrong hands. Take for instance
the several unstable, well-armed nations that entrust their arsenal to people
who are sympathetic to radicals. For instance, Pakistan has over one hundred
nuclear weapons at its disposal, and this number is growing. As a safe haven
for terrorists with a government unwilling to face the issue of extremism,
Pakistan is the perfect place from which to acquire nuclear weapons.
Furthermore, the Economist says, “up to 40% of Pakistan’s middle-ranking
army officers are to some extent radicalized.” Many of these radicals have
access to dangerous tools made privy to officers. Although other
non-radicalized officials might not support insurgent groups like ISIS,
they sympathize with them, which is almost as dangerous because
they might be willing to aid in arming radicals or simply look the other way.

Not only is ISIS capable of attaining weapons from dangerous,
untrustworthy state actors in the Middle East, but it is also able
to spend lots of money to obtain these weapons and execute an attack
that would prove devastating to the world. Although ISIS has seen
a decrease in revenues due to its loss of territory, it is still the World’s
richest terrorist organization. According to statistics taken in March
2016, Fox News states the group brought in $56 million per month.
The Washington Post also notes that ISIS restrains from using
international finance and instead relies on finance within its borders,
which it mainly acquires from criminal activity. Additionally, it says the group
has a highly diversified group of financial sources from which it can pull. It
obtains revenue from donors, means of extortion, sales of oil and antiquities
and looted property, human trafficking, and Iraqi banks. It's this wealth that
also helps ISIS to field a motivated fighting force. ISIS fighters are motivated
in large part because of the compensation ISIS fighters receive for their
efforts- around $400 per month- according to the Washington Post estimates.

Due to the resources made available to ISIS by hostile states, supportive
groups, and individuals, the American people should be very concerned
about possible threats on American soil, particularly in the nation’s capital.
It seems that it will only be a matter of time before a large-scale attack in
Washington is executed. The threat is so clear that the Obama Administration
has made it a high priority. Whether or not you agree with his policy, it is clear
he aims to prevent terrorists from getting their hands on such weapons by
calling on world leaders to attend nuclear security summits and by
promoting multilateral discussions. The spotlight the Obama administration
has put on nuclear warheads is extremely important; however, whoever
takes the oval office in 2017 needs to take the initiative further a step further; t
he next president of the United States needs to be more aggressive in his or
her fight against ISIS. This means enhancing security features at home and
abroad, in addition to nuanced military campaigns and intelligence-gathering
abroad.

Will Hillary's Establishment Status Prevent Her From Winning the Election

Hillary Clinton cannot win US election: Economist

CNBC
The rise of anti-establishment movements around the world will hit global investment, Wall Street profits and Hillary Clinton 's chances of winning the presidency, according to one economist.

Jakobsen, who describes himself as a "libertarian economist," says we may have reached a nadir in terms of political ambitions, investments, capital expenditure, employment, inflation, and growth. He sees this as the end of "planned economies" that were adopted after the fall of the Berlin Wall.Steen Jakobsen, the chief economist at Danish investment bank Saxo Bank, believes the "social contract" - the agreement between the ruled and the rulers - is now broken and this can be seen in the rise of Donald Trump .
In a recent research note, he highlighted that the employee compensation to the gross domestic product ratio in the U.S. is the lowest ever in history and, meanwhile, corporate profits are at their highest-ever point in history. This, he believes, is a key reason why U.S. citizens now want anything but the traditional establishment.
"Hillary Clinton cannot win the U.S. election – she is the epitome of the establishment class, of the elitist order," he said. "Trump, on the other hand, is so far away from being a politician that he represents chaos in a world of order, and this is what U.S. voters want."
Trump, the 2016 Republican presidential candidate and chairman and president of The Trump Organization, still needs 1,237 delegates to lock down the nomination before the GOP convention in Cleveland in July. However, he is still the front-runner and has taken U.S. politics by storm in the last twelve months.
This break in the "social contract" can also be seen in the antipathy to how the world's central banks handle the economy, Jakobsen adds.
"No-one cares about the (Federal Reserve). No-one knows about the anchoring of inflation expectations. No-one knows what the Fed is doing," he told CNBC Tuesday.
"We have glorified central bankers in the world today who have behaved like rock stars. Some of them like (European Central Bank President Mario) Draghi clearly enjoys being in the limelight. But the effect of what they do, the marginal impact of what they do is deteriorating and massively so."
Jakobsen sees the rise of anti-politics and Trump in particular rise as part of the same movement as the nationalist politics in France and the European Union referendum in the U.K. which is taking place on June 23. Across all countries, the far left and far right will do better simply because they are far away from the middle, according to the economist..
"The market will not like this and, as stated, the price for this transition is that Wall Street will need to do worse, partly because of a transfer of income to Main Street and partly due to the need for an increase in capex, but this is a good thing," he said in his note.
"The alternative is more of the same emergency nonsense we have lived with over the last eight years."
