If Allegations Are True, Grover Norquist Should Be Outed As An Israel Hating, Democratic Operative Whose Love Of The Muslim Brotherhood Is Repugnant.

Glenn Beck
Glenn Beck
American Conservative Union member Grover Norquist has attracted much criticism and opposition over the years because of his links to Muslim activists – the Center for Security Policy says he pals around with “the Muslim Brotherhood,” for example.
CSP President Frank Gaffney even has created a file about Norquist, called “Agent of Influence – Grover Norquist and the Assault on the Right.”
But the dispute suddenly was elevated to a whole new level this week when highly popular talk-show host Glenn Beck suddenly told the National Rifle Association, for whom Norquist has served on the board and is up for re-election, it’s either him or Norquist.
Probably not both.
Gaffney was discussing influences on conservative groups and organizations, and he broached the subject of Norquist.
“Tell us how he is an agent of influence and what you’re concerned about with the NRA,” Beck said.
He continued, without giving Gaffney an opportunity to answer immediately.
“I will tell you I am so concerned about this, Frank, and I am not an expert on Grover Norquist by any stretch of the imagination. But I’ve heard enough that makes me concerned enough, and I hope the leadership of the NRA hears this and every member of the NRA hears this: If this man is re-elected and confirmed on the board, I may drop my membership in the NRA.
“I am that concerned that he is a very bad influence … If this is who the NRA decides to put on their board of directors, I don’t think I can be associated with them.”
Gaffney noted that he was concerned that “influence operations on behalf of enemies of this country are continuing.”
See Beck’s comments:
WND’s multiple requests via telephone and email to the NRA for comment did not generate a response.
Beck either was echoing, or was echoed by, a blog post at Creeping Sharia, which said, “While one director may not be able to influence the direction of the NRA, be sure Norquist will try and he’ll bring more Muslims with him. What he will undoubtedly do is act as an informant, a mole, deep inside the NRA, sharing the NRA’s intents and strategies with terror-linked Muslim groups within the U.S. and abroad.”
The blog continued, “Members should vow to cancel their membership and stop funding the organization if this Muslim infiltrator remains on the board.”
On the floor of the U.S. House, Rep. Frank Wolf several years ago cited Norquist’s connections with “terror.”
“Around the years 2000 and 2001, Mr.Norquist’s firm represented Abdurahman Alamoudi, who was convicted two years later for his role in a terrorist plot and who is presently serving a 23-year sentence in federal prison,” Wolf said.
He quoted the U.S. Justice Department explaining that Alamoudi took part in “recruiting participants” for a plot to assassinate Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah.
In connection with Alamoudi, Wolf said, Norquist’s “Islamic Free Market Institute” sponsored a “Rally Against Israeli Aggression,” where “Alamoudi roared from the stage: ‘I have been labeled by the media in New York to be a supporter of Hamas. Anybody support Hamas here?’”
And the crowd cheered “Yes!”
The U.S. has listed Hamas as an organization supporting terror.
The CSP reported Norquist has links “with a bevy of individuals with strong ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.”
And conservative columnist Michelle Malkin wrote, “If any Democrat activist had such shady connections, conservatives would be on him like white on rice. Instead, Norquist has gotten away with smearing his critics – most notably, former Reagan official Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy, one of the most decent and patriotic Republicans I’ve had the honor of meeting – as hatemongers. … The conservative movement cannot afford to be associated with race-card-playing apologists who refuse to cut their ties to terrorist sympathizers.”
WND Editor Joseph Farah wrote in a commentary several years ago, “There’s a growing awareness among real conservatives who would like to see Norquist toppled from his position of power in Washington just as much as those on the left. Count me among those in that group.”
He continued, “Grover Norquist is not a conservative true believer. He may have been at one time. But he is no longer – that’s for certain. Maybe, like other politicians, he’s just been around Washington too long.”
  • His ties to known terrorist financiers Abdurahman Alamoudi and Sami Al-Arian;
  • His support for the Ground Zero mosque;
  • His advocacy for transferring Guantanamo detainees to U.S. soil;
  • His lobbying on behalf of Fannie Mae;
  • His representation of the Internet gambling industry;
“Simply put,” said Wolf in a sharp attack recorded on C-SPAN, “I believe Mr. Norquist is connected with or has profited from a number of unsavory people and groups out of the mainstream.”
At the time, Norquist responded that Wolf’s allegations are “beneath him.”

Government Finds Another Pot Of Gold, The Internet!

Billions of hidden taxes in government Internet takeover, Groquist warns

Anti-tax crusader Grover Norquist lashed out Tuesday against what he warns is a coming “gusher of new taxes” if Washington bureaucrats enact regulations reclassifying broadband Internet as a public utility.
President Barack Obama joined net neutrality advocates last year in calling for the Federal Communications Commission to create rules that would allow the government to regulate the Internet in the same way that it does phone companies.
Norquist, who heads up Americans for Tax Reform, said that an FCC proposal to do so by placing broadband under government authority through Title II of the Communications Act of 1934 would ultimately raise taxes for about 90 percent of Americans and hurt the overall economy.
“This move would make broadband subject to New Deal-era regulation, and have significant consequences for U.S. taxpayers,” Norquist, along with Americans for Tax Reform state director Patrick Gleason, wrote for Reuters.
Citing numbers provided by the Progressive Policy Institute, Norquist warned that new state and local taxes that would result from the change, in addition to new fees, would total about $15 billion annually. For consumers, that means an average price hike of $67 per year for landline broadband and $72 for mobile broadband per year, according to the figures.
Proponents of the FCC plan say that the tax increased will be a non-issue, arguing that the recently extended Internet Tax Freedom Act would prohibit state and local taxation of Internet service. In addition, they claim that that the FCC can block attempts to tax the services on state and local levels by designating broadband as an interstate service.
Norquist and Gleason, however, point to a report from the Progressive Policy Institute that explains why advocates for the Internet as a utility are mistaken.
From the report:
When the Commission previously considered the jurisdiction of Internet traffic, it determined that such traffic was “largely interstate,” but “jurisdictionally mixed.” States routinely tax jurisdictionally mixed services that are classified as “interstate” for purposes of regulation. For example, wireless services may not be regulated by state public utility commissions, but they are subject to a host of state and local taxes and fees. In several states, interstate wireless revenues are subject to taxation.
Norquist and Gleason further contend that the issue extends beyond a potential tax increase because the proposal would discourage private investment in Internet infrastructure, which has proven effective in getting reliable, high-speed access to a majority of Americans.
“The telecommunications industry has invested more than $1.2 trillion on broadband infrastructure since 1996. As a result, roughly 87 percent of Americans have access to broadband,” he wrote. “It would be foolish for government to discourage the significant investment required to maintain, expand and improve this infrastructure by subjecting broadband to circa 1930s regulation. Subjecting Internet service providers to such onerous rules would depress innovation and penalize Web users.”
Norquist and Gleason have are joined by a number of tech companies in warning of the harmful possibilities of regulating the Internet as a utility. Last month, companies including Cisco, Ericsson, Panasonic and Sandvine wrote to Congress, warning that the FCC plan represents a “dramatic reversal in policy” that would “stifle growth across the entire economy.”
“This is not idle speculation or fear mongering,” they wrote. “As some have already warned, Title II is going to lead to a slowdown, if not a hold, in broadband build out, because if you don’t know that you can recover on your investment, you won’t make it.”

The Lies Of ObamaCrapCare Are Becoming Very Clear

3 of Obamacare’s Biggest Broken Promises

healthcare-costOn June 5, 2008, then presidential candidate Barack Obama promised, “In an Obama administration, we’ll lower premiums by up to $2,500 for a typical family per year….. We’ll do it by the end of my first term as President of the United States.” Of all the promises Obama has broken, affordability in healthcare is one of the most egregious. In truth, since the passage of the Affordable Healthcare Act in 2010, millions of Americans have had their healthcare disrupted against their will, and have often been forced to pay higher prices for fewer options.
A study released in June 2014 by Forbes Magazine’s Manhattan Institute analyzed data for 3,137 of the country’s 3,144 counties. This study surveyed men and women ages twenty-seven, forty, and sixty-four. The results showed Obamacare has raised 2014 individual healthcare premiums by an average of 49%.
Across the board, women’s health insurance premiums increased less than those of men. This reflects the fact that before passage of Obamacare, only eleven states prohibited insurers from charging men and women different rates, although women incur higher healthcare costs. Even considering this disparity, however, 27-year-old women saw an increase of 44 percent, 40-year-olds 23 percent, and 64-year-olds saw their premiums rise 42 percent.
Men took an even bigger hit. 27-year-old men saw a 91 percent increase in premiums. 40-year-old men had their premiums raised 60 percent, and 64-year-old men, 32 percent.
Americans pay in other ways, as well. Tax restraint advocate Grover Norquist has estimated Obamacare includes at least twenty hidden taxes. For example, there is a 3.8 percent surtax on investment income, and a 0.9 percent surtax onMedicare taxes for individuals who earn more than $200,000 and families with incomes above $250,000. These taxes seem patently unfair to people who have worked hard to achieve success, and people still working to attain a higher income.
Seven of the tax provisions directly hit the middle class, even though Obama guaranteed there would be no new tax on people earning below $250,000 – another broken promise. There are new taxes on Flexible Savings Accounts and Health Savings Accounts, and a 2.3 percent excise tax on medical equipment. There’s even a 10 percent tax on tanning services.
Fortunately the courts, all the way up to the Supreme Court, have curtailed certain aspects of Obamacare, but this year the law went forward to full implementation. Despite this, conservative lawmakers consider stopping Obamacare one of their top priorities. As Senator Ted Cruz tweeted earlier this year:

Kathleen Sebelius, who oversaw the botched rollout of the Affordable Care Act, is resigning her post as secretary of Health and Human Services, but Grover Norquist, founder and president of the conservative advocacy organization Americans for Tax Reform, says Sebelius' potential replacement isn't up to the responsibility of the post.

President Barack Obama announced Friday he will nominate Sylvia Mathews Burwell, the current director of the Office of Management and Budget, to replace Sebelius. But Norquist told John Bachman and J.D. Hayworth on "America's Forum" Friday on Newsmax TV that Burwell isn't fit for the job.

"To bring the Obama budget person in, Obama hasn't put forward a serious budget in years … you wonder what she does with her time because she doesn't write serious, grown-up budgets that even the modern Democratic Party in the House of Representatives, they're not willing to vote for her budget, which had over a trillion dollars in higher taxes. And now she's going to run HHS …" Norquist said.

Story continues below video.

Norquist also lamented the legislative logjam in Congress, which he blamed on a left-wing president and Senate that prevents the passage of meaningful bills.

"Conservatives are understandably frustrated that you cannot pass conservative legislation through the Senate or get it signed by the presidency. To be angry at [House Speaker John] Boehner and the House Republicans, who just passed the most radical, fundamental, limited government budget in the history of the United States, given where we are today — our problem's not the House.

"Our problem is a left-wing Senate and a left-wing president, and to lose focus on what we need to change is self-destructive and silly. We need a different president, a different Senate," Norquist said.
