The attorney for former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn claimed Sunday that top officials of the Obama administration, including former President Barack Obama, conspired against Flynn
Sidney Powell appeared Sunday on the Fox News program “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo.
Flynn had initially pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, but later decided to fight the charges against him instead. On Thursday, the Justice Department announced it was dropping its case against Flynn.
On Sunday, Powell pointed the finger at FBI agents and former FBI Director James Comey.
“These agents specifically schemed and planned with each other how to not tip him off that he was even the person being investigated. In fact, according to Comey’s testimony that’s attached to the exhibits they filed in the motion to dismiss, they just simply said, ”We’d like to send a couple agents by to talk to you,'” she said, about the 1:43 mark on the video below.

“And, of course, General Flynn said, ‘Sure.’ And he saw them as allies. They encouraged him to stay that way,” she said.
“So they kept him relaxed and unguarded deliberately as part of their effort to set him up and frame him.”

Bartiromo then asked Powell, about the 4:20 mark on the video, to discuss events that took place in January 2017, “because, this morning, President Obama is out trashing this exoneration.  He’s basically saying that the rule of law is being lost and that there’s no precedent for all of this.”
“[T]here’s a meeting in President Obama’s Oval Office. Talk to us about that, Sidney, because Sally Yates was there, Jim Comey was there, John Brennan was there, James Clapper was there briefing President Obama in the Oval Office on the Russia probe. Joe Biden and Susan Rice were there as well. This was January 5, 2017. Walk us through it,” Bartiromo said.
Powell was ready.
“They have the Oval Office meeting on the 5th. Comey admits in his testimony that the FBI are the people that unmasked General Flynn, ‘our people,’ whatever that means,” Powell said.
“And at the meeting on the 5th, Sally Yates was stunned because Obama mentions to her out of the blue about the call and the transcript of the call. She knew nothing about it, because Comey hadn’t briefed DOJ,” Powell said, referring to then-deputy attorney general Yates.
She said top intelligence officials including former Director of National Intelligence  James Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan were part of the meeting.

“The whole thing was orchestrated and set up within the FBI, Clapper, Brennan, and in the Oval Office meeting that day with President Obama,” Powell charged about the 6:20 mark.
“So, you think this goes all the way up to the top, to President Obama?” Bartiromo asked.
“Absolutely,” Powell replied.
Powell said any charges from the incident would be under the purview of U.S. Attorney John Durham, who has been investigating the initial months of the investigation into the disproven allegations that the Trump campaign conspired with Russia.
She said that she expects a judge could dismiss the charges against Flynn as soon as Monday.

A new report has surfaced explaining that former President Barack Obama actually spied on Congress so he could punish the whistleblowers who warned them about Obama’s ‘Big 
Investigators finally revealed on Monday that the Obama administration secretly stole communications sent to congressional staffers from CIA whistleblowers—people sounding the alarm that the Obama administration had been abusing the nation’s top spy organization.
“The fact that the CIA under the Obama administration was reading congressional staff’s e-mails about intelligence community whistleblowers raises serious policy concerns, as well as potential constitutional separation-of-powers issues that must be discussed publicly,” said Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, who is the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
“Nothing—nothing—should inhibit or interfere with Congress’s constitutional job and protecting whistleblowers,” Grassley said.
The new documents are smoking hot—but they didn’t come overnight. Sen. Grassley had to fight the Deep State tooth and nail for more than four years to blow the lid off the program.

Grassley first asked for memos about Obama illegally spying on Congress in April of 2014.
The Iowa Republican said that he had to fight years of “bureaucratic foot dragging” from two top Obama officials… and he named names.
James Clapper, Obama’s National Intelligence Director, and John Brennan, a one-time Communist Party voter who Obama tapped to be his CIA Director, kept everything under wraps, according to the Senate leader.
Even the people who were supposed to hold Obama accountable did nothing but whitewash his crimes and misdemeanors.
The inspector general, I. Charles McCullough III, called Obama’s spying on Congress “lawful and justified.”

Obama-era officials said the surveillance was totally innocent, and they only picked up Congressional e-mails during “routine counterintelligence (CI) monitoring of government computer systems.”
Obama violated the Constitution and spied on every single, living American. Then he monitored Congress, so that he could punish people who warned the people what he was up to.
But he claims there’s nothing to see here, move along!
Grassley followed up in 2017, but the Deep State kept on stonewalling him… even under President Donald Trump.

But Trump appointed a new inspector general, Michael K. Atkinson, in May — and he’s shutting down Obama’s conspiracy of silence.
Grassley got through to the right person last month — and the documents that finally came out showed how Obama would stop at nothing to pry into your privacy without you ever finding out.
He turned the country into one huge spy ring — and nobody was exempt… Congress, the CIA, private citizens, presidential candidates, nobody.
He put at least one spy in Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Obama’s NSA spied on the entire country.
“Americans should be alarmed that the NSA is vacuuming up their emails and phone calls without a warrant,” the ACLU said about the Obama-era NSA just last year.
To keep the government’s all-seeing eye open, Obama put the screws to anyone who tried to warn the country about what he was doing.
Obama prosecuted nine whistleblowers for leaking information — three times as many as all other U.S. presidents combined.

Those dangerous forces got sent up the river for reporting on Obama’s dirty, secret spy programs to outlets like Fox News and the conservative Hoover Institute.
Obama didn’t care that these people leaked “national secrets”… after all, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s homebrew e-mail server leaked top-secret documents like a sieve.
Obama didn’t care when China or Russia got U.S. secrets — only when his employees told the conservative media just how stupid, hapless, and unconstitutional Obama really was.
That had to be shut down… no matter how badly it hurt the government or the country.

Grassley said Obama’s actions were “unacceptable and unpatriotic,” because they could stop “responsible citizens from disclosing waste, fraud and abuse in our government.”
“Blowing the whistle has played an integral role in maintaining good government,” Sen. Grassley said.
But shutting people up about massive government abuse is exactly what Obama intended — and if Hillary had been elected, we still wouldn’t know any of this.
If Democrats end up back in power, everything you do goes back under the government microscope. Everything the government does gets swept back under the rug. And the Constitution goes back into the shredder.

'Unprecedented:' Why John Brennan's Extraordinary Partisanship Justifies Revoking His Security Clearance
President Trump's decision to strip former CIA Director John Brennan of his security clearance, announced yesterday, clearly lies within the president's authority.  But was it the right thing to do?  Officially, the White House says the move comes as a result of Brennan's 'erratic' behavior and history of dishonesty.  Here's a portion of President Trump's statement on the matter -- which was originally dated late July, stirring speculation that the administration tactically released it yesterday to deflect from other news cycle items:
Historically, former heads of intelligence and law enforcement agencies have been allowed to retain access to classified information after their Government service so that they can consult with their successors regarding matters about which they may have special insights and as a professional courtesy. Neither of these justifications supports Mr. Brennan’s continued access to classified information.  First, at this point in my Administration, any benefits that senior officials might glean from consultations with Mr. Brennan are now outweighed by the risks posed by his erratic conduct and behavior.  Second, that conduct and behavior has tested and far exceeded the limits of any professional courtesy that may have been due to him. Mr. Brennan has a history that calls into question his objectivity and credibility.
More than a few people snarked that it's quite rich to see Donald Trump, of all people, warning that someone exhibiting "erratic conduct and behavior" shouldn't have access to classified materials.  But Trump is the legitimately-elected President of the United States, accountable to the people.  Figures like Brennan are accountable to elected civilian leadership.  As for the alleged "history that calls into question [Brennan's] objectivity and credibility," Trump has a point.  Several, actually.  A few months back, Victor Davis Hanson ran through a number of Brennan's most serious credibility-destroying misadventures:
{1) In 2011, Brennan, then the country’s chief counterterrorism adviser, had sworn to Congress that scores of drones strikes abroad had not killed a single noncombatant — at a time when both the president and the CIA were both receiving numerous reports of civilian collateral deaths.
(2) In 2014, John Brennan, now as CIA director, lied emphatically that the CIA had not illegally accessed the computers of U.S. Senate stafferswho were then exploring a CIA role in torturing detainees...Brennan’s chronic deceptions drew the ire of a number of liberal senators, some of whom echoed the Washington Post’s call for his immediate resignation. After months of prevarications, but only upon release of the CIA inspector general’s report, Brennan apologized to the senators he had deceived.
(3) Brennan, in May 2017, as an ex-CIA director, again almost certainly did not tell the truth to Congress when he testified in answer to Representative Trey Gowdy’s questions that he neither knew who had commissioned the Steele dossier nor had the CIA relied on its contents for any action. Yet both the retired National Security Agency director, Michael Rogers, and the former director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, have conceded that the Steele dossier — along with the knowledge that it was a Clinton-campaign-funded product — most certainly did help shape the Obama’s intelligence communality interagency assessments and actions, often under the urging of Brennan himself. 

There are also numerous reports that, despite his denials about knowledge of the dossier, Brennan served as a stealthy conduit to ensure that it was disseminated widely, at least in the sense of meeting in August 2016 with Senator Harry Reid to brief the senator about its unverified contents in hopes that he would pressure the FBI to further its investigations, which Reid did in a call two days later to James Comey.
In addition to these examples of documented dishonesty, it's important to consider Brennan's astonishing hyper-partisanship and "resistance"-style histrionics, both in televised commentaries and on social media. Two representative examples, starting with a blistering tweet sent in response to the firing of ex-FBI official Andrew McCabe (who, I'll remind you, repeatedly lied to federal investigators, prompting the Inspector General to recommend criminal charges):

Trump insider: Obama’s top pals to be locked up (soon!)

A large number of former President Barack Obama’s top insiders are heading to jail in the next few months — including former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.
That’s according to a top Trump campaign aide Michael Caputo, who revealed explosive insider knowledge on Fox News’ Laura Ingraham’s show Monday.

Caputo claims to have information that will lead to a series of high profile “Deep State” arrests — and that could even include Obama himself.
Over the weekend, Trump stunned the world by revealing the FBI had planted a spy in his campaign.
According to his former aide, the president’s accusation only touches the surface of the explosive charges that are about to be revealed. Caputo claims multiple individuals loyal to Obama’s administration attempted to infiltrate the Trump campaign as secret paid “informants” during the 2016 presidential election.
“Let me tell you something that I know for a fact: This informant, this person that they tried to plant into the campaign — and even into the administration, if you believe Axios — he’s not the only person who came at the campaign,” Caputo told Ingraham. “And the FBI is not the only Obama agency who came at the campaign. I know because they came at me.”

The truth is going to come out — and soon.
“I’m looking for clearance from my attorney to reveal this to the public,” Caputo added, and claimed that what he knew would send top Obama officials to prison.
“This is just the beginning … When we finally find out the truth about this, Director Clapper and the rest of them will be wearing some orange suits.”
