Trump Wants Professionalism And Results.

Huck Says DC’s “Dumbstruck” by 1 Brutal Trump Decision None of His Predecessors Dared Make

 Print
If there’s one go-to Trump administration story on a slow news day, it’s this: Chaos! Chaos in the administration! Firings as far as the eyes can see! Revolving door!
This past week saw two more controversial departures that took up plenty of airtime and caused plenty of controversy. And, according to former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, that’s OK — because that’s who President Donald Trump is.
Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was already supposed to be going via retirement, but after a report by the Department of Justice inspector general suggested that his conduct during the investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s email and its aftermath was fireable, he, well, got fired. And lost his pension. Of course, it was the DOJ who actually did the firing at the recommendation of their own independent inspector general, but it still somehow got blamed on Trump.
Less expected was Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who was let go earlier in the week. The outgoing secretary declined to thank the president in his departure speech and was apparently told he was going to be fired while he was on the toilet.
The general scuttlebutt is that Tillerson was fired because he was clashing with the president’s style. One Capitol Hill GOPer told Time that Tillerson was let go because the secretary of state tried to moderate the president’s behavior.

“It’s no secret the president is not a patient man. Now, he’s really out of patience and will be doing things his way,” the unnamed Republican said. “The president tried it their way and didn’t like what he was seeing. Now, he’s going to try it his way.”
However, in an appearance on Judge Jeanine Pirro’s Fox News show this weekend, Huckabee said the reason Washington people are “dumbstruck” at the firings is the fact that those in the swamp have been too patient for too long.
“The reason that there has been various people leaving government is because Donald Trump is a business guy,” Huckabee said.
“He is used to putting people around him who are competent, and if people around him don’t get the job done, he lets them go.”

“People in government aren’t used to this,” Huckabee continued. “They’re used to seeing people remain in jobs for years and years even if they’re utterly incompetent and ineffective and inefficient, and people in Washington are dumbstruck that you would actually have someone who would take seriously the role of chief executive and would get rid of people who don’t do their jobs.
“Look, from the time we were in first grade, we didn’t get to go to recess if we didn’t finish our coloring,” he added.
“Donald Trump looks at people around him, and if they didn’t finish their coloring on time, he tells them there’s not only going to be a missed recess, but the famous words for which he is notorious for — you’re fired — and he’s saying to some people, some of whom need it.”

Mike Huckabee may be biased — he sired the White House press secretary, after all — but he’s not in the wrong here.
Andrew McCabe needed to hear it, even if it wasn’t Trump who delivered it. What stuns me about the McCabe firing isn’t that people are angry that it was done for no reason — indeed, I don’t think I’ve heard a whole lot of people say unequivocally that McCabe did nothing wrong. Instead, they’re angry about the fact that it was timed so that he would lose his pension. This is seriously what concerns them.
While Trump didn’t deliver the ax, if the new climate he’s engendered in Washington had something to do with the firing, more power to him.
As for Rex Tillerson, whether he needed it or not remains to be seen. If he wasn’t working for Trump, though, firing him wasn’t the worst idea. Trump doesn’t care about how things look when it comes to personnel. He goes with what he thinks works — which is what you should do.
We knew Trump was different from most presidents. Part of that is that he comes from a business background. He doesn’t play by the niceties Washington society has established.
The media may call it chaos. However, what’s become clear is that the president does not have the same unearned respect for entrenched bureaucrats that his predecessors did. That’s not really chaos. That’s demanding results.
While it remains to be seen whether it works for the Trump White House, we can say one thing — it got him inthe White House in the first place.
What do you think about what Mike Huckabee had to say?

Why Should A President Not Expect Loyalty?

Trump: 'In America we don't worship government, we worship God'

Speaking to a friendly crowd at the country's largest Christian university on Saturday, President Trump told the graduating class that "in America, we don’t worship government, we worship God.”
“America has always been the land of dreams because America is a nation of true believers,” Trump said at Liberty University on Saturday morning.
“When the pilgrims landed at Plymouth, they prayed. When the founders wrote the Declaration of Independence, they invoked our creator four times. Because in America, we don’t worship government, we worship God.”
"It is why our currency proudly declares, 'In God We Trust,'" Trump continued. "And it is why we proudly proclaim that we are one nation, under God, every time we say the Pledge of Allegiance."
Trump’s speech on Saturday was his first commencement address as president.
Trump noted that worshipping God is “why our elected officials put their hands on the Bible and say ‘so help me God’ as they take the oath of office.”
His remarks at the evangelical school come after days of swirling controversy over his decision to fire FBI director James Comey. As part of the controversy, The New York Times reported that in January, Trump demanded Comey pledge his loyalty to him. Comey was leading an investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election, including possible collusion between Moscow and Trump's campaign.
In an interview with Fox News’s Jeanine Pirro airing Saturday, Trump denied that he made any such request of the ousted FBI chief, but said he did not find it "inappropriate."
"I don’t think it’s inappropriate, number one," Trump told Pirro. "I don’t think it would be a bad question to ask. I think loyalty to the country, loyalty to the United States is important."

Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro ripped into the cast of the hit musical “Hamilton” during her show’s opening statements on Saturday for their “inappropriate and disgusting” comments directed toward Vice President-elect Mike Pence on Friday.
Pence, who attended the play with his daughter, nieces and nephew, was booed by the crowd when he entered the play hall. And once the play was over, the musical’s leading actor directed a short statement toward Pence, who was kind enough to stop and listen.
“It was both outrageous and embarrassing,” Pirro said of the lecture the actor gave Pence.
“What happened in that theater, one block from here, was out and out reverse racism, and tee’d up hate for a man who has done nothing to deserve this inappropriate and disgusting behavior by those who take it upon themselves to use what was suppose to be a night of art and recreation and appreciation for our American history as a political bully pulpit,” she added.
Pirro went on to note that Democrats Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vt.) weren’t given the same treatment that Pence was when they attended the play.
“Last night violates everything you say you stand for,” Pirro exclaimed. “That big tent, inclusive broad-minded acceptance of everyone, even people who don’t look or act like you. What happened to your old ‘love trumps hate’ line? You’re all damn hypocrites!”
The Fox News host went on to explain that President-elect Donald Trump and Pence defeated Clinton and the Democrats because “forgotten Americans” voted against liberal policies and progressive culture.

VA Crisis Gets Worse-- Employees Destroyed Data, Isn't That Against Federal Law? Does That Mean Jail Time?

A doctor at the VA Center in Phoenix claims the preliminary report by the agency's inspector general that led to Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki's resignation was "extremely deceptive" about patient wait times — slanting its findings to make the embattled agency look better than it truly was.

"The interim report was extremely deceptive when it talked about the waiting times on the near lists," Dr. Katherine Mitchell, medical director of the Phoenix VA's post-deployment clinic, told Jeanine Pirro on Saturday on her Fox News show "Justice with Judge Jeanine." "I know what the near-list was, because I helped hide it."

"So the inspector general was actually not being clear about what was going on, and it was slanting it for the VA?" Pirro asked.

"Correct," Mitchell responded.

The interim report, released Wednesday, was completed by Richard Griffin, the VA's acting inspector general. It found that as many as 1,700 veterans in need of care were "at risk of being lost or forgotten" after being kept off the wait lists at the Phoenix operation.

The 35-page report found that investigators had "substantiated serious conditions" at the facility. It said that veterans had to wait an average of 115 days to get their first appointment.

The document also found "systemic" problems throughout the vast VA healthcare system, which serves about 6.5 million veterans each year.

The report fueled rapid bipartisan calls for Veteran Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki's resignation, which occurred on Friday.

Mitchell told Fox News on Monday that Phoenix VA staffers were brought in on a Saturday for mandatory overtime — and they were not told that they were doing work that would destroy evidence of the secret wait list.

Realizing what was being done, one employee worked to save the information, Mitchell said.

The workers had been called in on overtime after hospital officials had been made aware of an inspector general's investigation and had been ordered to preserve documents, she said. She worked to address the high suicide rate among veterans at the center.

But Mitchell told Pirro on Saturday that, in reality, the wait times in Phoenix started at "477 days and worked its way down" — far from the average 115 days cited in the inspector general's report.

"There're roughly 55, 56 patients per page," Mitchell said. "I don’t believe that it dropped down to the level of the hundreds that the [inspector general] was talking about until somewhere after page 8 or page 9."

"I think you'll agree that this is something for a criminal investigation, would you not?" asked Pirro, a former judge and prosecutor.

"Yes," Mitchell responded.

She also said that the report did not "deal with the hidden delays in mental health treatment" at the Phoenix center.

Right now, no veteran can get an appointment for "intense mental-health care" at the facility, Mitchell said. "I'm hoping that will be in their final report."

Mitchell told Pirro that she talked with Griffin "for about two hours" during his Phoenix inquiry.

"They were more interested in how I hid documents the night before they were to come to the VA," she said.

Illegals Get Deported For Crimes And Come Right Back

Houston immigration attorney Raed Gonzalez claims the controversy surrounding the Obama administration’s release of tens of thousands of criminal illegal aliens is just a “publicity stunt” generated by the authors of a book documenting the case for impeaching Obama.
Gonzalez has been the liaison between the Executive Office for Immigration Review, which administers the immigration court system, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Asked about the scandal on Fox News’ “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” Gonzalez told the audience, “I think all of you fell for the publicity stunt of Mr. Elliott and miss, miss, what was it, Brenda Elliot and Mr. Aaron Klein, with their book, ‘Impeachable Offenses,’ that came out a couple of weeks ago. And they were denouncing the Obama administration for releasing all of these people.”
Host Jeanine Pirro interjected, “Raed, I am not here to promote anybody’s book. We are having a discussion.”
See the discussion on Judge Jeanine’s show:
Raed persisted, “Well apparently you fell for it, because this is what it is. This is a publicity stunt. This group, the Center for Immigration Studies, we know what they are.”
Recently reported information about the Obama administration’s release in 2013 of 36,007 criminal illegal aliens does not come from Klein and Elliott’s book, which was published last August. That story originated with internal memos from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, or ICE, as cited in a report by the Center for Immigration Studies.
However, in “Impeachable Offenses: The Case to Remove Barack Obama from Office,” New York Times bestselling authors Klein and Elliott cite further ICE documentation showing the release of thousands more criminal illegals from 2009 to 2011.
“Impeachable Offenses” further documents that of the more than 7,000 criminals released in those years, some went on to be charged with 19 more murders, three attempted murders and 142 sex crimes after their release from jail by the Obama administration.
The statistics pose a grim outlook for the 36,007 additional criminal illegal aliens reportedly released last year by ICE.
The details received more exposure last week after the book’s contents were highlighted in a WND article linked at the popular Drudge Report.
A 2012 House report reviewed the effectiveness of the Secure Communities program, a project initially launched by the Bush administration to build databases identifying illegal aliens who qualify for deportation. The data covered arrests from October 2008 through July 2011.
The report, cited by Klein and Elliott in “Impeachable Offenses,” analyzed data on 159,286 legal and illegal immigrants arrested by state or local police, including 7,283 illegal aliens who could have been deported but who were not taken into custody by ICE, despite being identified as living in the country unlawfully.
The data shows that along with drunken-driving charges, the released illegals went on to commit 16,226 new crimes, including 19 murders, 142 sex offenses, 1,420 drug crimes, 682 cases of burglary or theft and 48 firearms charges.
