Kaepernick Missed Chance To Play For the Broncos!
Elway Reveals He Offered Kaepernick Contract, ‘He Had His Chance’
Denver Broncos’ general manager John Elway stated on Thursday that his team will not be signing controversial quarterback Colin Kaepernick, explaining “he had his chance.”
Following reports that the Broncos may be looking for a veteran quarterback as a backup to starter Case Keenum, Elway was asked during a news conference if Kaepernick was “a viable option.”
“You know what, and I said this a while ago: Colin had his chance to be here. We offered him a contract. He didn’t take it,” the Pro Football Hall of Famer answered. “As I said in my deposition, I don’t know if I’ll be legally able to say this, but he’s had his chance to be here. He passed it.”
ESPN reported that Elway gave a deposition in May for Kaepernick’s attorneys as part of their client’s collusion case against the National Football League.

Kaepernick, 30, is arguing the reason he has not been signed with a team after leaving the San Francisco 49ers in 2017 is because the NFL team owners are working together to blackball him in response to his national anthem protests and other social activism.
According to ESPN, Elway met twice with Kaepernick in the spring of 2016, while seeking to work out a trade for him with the 49ers.
The trade would have involved Kaepernick taking a cut from $11.9 million to a $7 million guaranteed salary.
Whether the 49ers would have picked up the difference is not clear.
In April 2016, Kaepernick passed on the offer, deciding to stay with San Francisco.
A few months later he began his pre-game sideline protests, first sitting and later kneeling during the national anthem.

Steven Ruiz with USA Today’s “ForTheWin” believes the fact that Kaepernick turned the Broncos down two years ago is clearly not the only reason Elway isn’t interested now, implying the national anthem protests are likely in the mix too.
The league and the NFL Players Association have yet to announce a policy for this season regarding demonstrations during the anthem.
The NFL announced a policy in the spring requiring players to either stand for the anthem or remain in the locker room, but the league and the players union agreed in July to put that rule on hold.

Clarence Thomas Snubbed By National Museum Of African American History And Culture, However, Promotes Kaepernick Who Is Half White!
Colin Kaepernick Makes Black History Smithsonian Before Clarence Thomas
(Daily Caller News Foundation) Free agent NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick will be featured in a Black Lives Matter collection at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, museum curators announced this weekend.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, the nation’s longest-serving black justice, remains absent from the museum.
USA Today Sports reports items belonging to Kaepernick will be incorporated into the museum’s Black Lives Matter collection. The quarterback became a symbol of the nation’s complicated racial politics and social relations when he declined to stand for the national anthem during the 2016 NFL season. The quarterback said his gesture signaled solidarity with the BLM movement.
“The National Museum of African American History and Culture has nearly 40,000 items in our collection,” sports curator Damion Thomas told USA Today. “The Colin Kaepernick collection is in line with the museum’s larger collecting efforts to document the varied areas of society that have been impacted by the Black Lives Matter movement.”
Featured items will include shoes and a game-worn jersey.
The quarterback’s protest inflamed racial and political tensions around the country. He returned to San Francisco’s starting lineup in advance of their week six game against the Buffalo Bills in October 2016. Anti-Kaepernick displays outside the Bills stadium before the game prompted allegations of racism.
Kaepernick was released from his contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March 2017 and is currently a free agent. He finished the 2016 NFL season on 2,241 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
The quarterback’s admission into the nation’s premier black history museum was fairly speedy relative to Thomas, only the second black man in American history to serve on the Supreme Court. The Daily Caller News Foundation reported that Thomas was not included in the museum in 2016. His exclusion prompted resolutions in both houses of Congress urging his incorporation in the museum.
Thomas was born in Georgia’s coastal lowlands among impoverished Gullah-speakers. By his own account, he did not master English until his early 20s. He came of age in Jim Crow Savannah, Ga., where he was turn ridiculed by white neighbors and classmates for his unpolished style. During this period, most public spaces in Savannah were segregated by race.
Despite the startling racial injustices of his youth, he went on to the College of the Holy Cross and Yale Law School. He was appointed to the Supreme Court by President George H. W. Bush in 1991.
The museum has consistently denied that it applies ideological litmus tests in preparing its exhibits.
“There are many compelling personal stories about African Americans who have become successful in various fields, and obviously, Associate Justice Thomas is one of them,” a spokesman said. “However, we cannot tell every story in our inaugural exhibitions.”
“We will continue to collect and interpret the breadth of the African American experience,” the spokesman added.

Kaepernick Would Be Good To Look To History For Inspiration

Black millionaire athlete Colin Kaepernick, who wastes his days whining incessantly about the alleged epidemic of racism in contemporary America, could learn much from legendary baseball player Babe Ruth.
Though the baseball legend lived during a period of time in American history when the nation was still suffering from the kind of genuine racism that neither Kaepernick nor his race-baiting peers in the media know anything about, he tried diligently through his 22-year career from 1914 through 1935 to judge men by their character, not the color of their skin.
“In the matter of race, Babe Ruth was simply color blind,” baseball historian Bill Jenkinson explained during a speech he delivered seven years ago at the the World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame in Boise, Idaho.
“Wherever he went around the world, including Latin America and the Far East, the Babe loved everybody and everybody loved him,” he continued. “He had the extraordinary capacity to make people of every background and ethnicity feel good about themselves, and this reminds us of Babe Ruth’s greatest legacy. Somehow, this unlikely fellow imbued his fellow man with hope.”
Before you roll your eyes and accuse Jenkinson of simply making this up, consider this: He has served as a consultant for The Baseball Hall of Fame, The Society for American Baseball Research, The Babe Ruth Museum, ESPN and even Major League Baseball. He is in fact the world’s top scholar on Babe Ruth, so he knows what he’s talking about.
Plus, the examples he cited in a blog post published to Babe Ruth Central add credence to his claims. One such example included the fact that Ruth played games against Negro League teams in 1926, 1927, 1928 and 1929.
He even invited a former black chef of his, David Simpson, to attend a hunting trip to Camp Bryan, North Carolina, with him and his friends in 1931.
“Simpson was a Black man who had cooked for Ruth in the past, but he was terminally ill at the time,” Jenkinson wrote. “Despite being unable to work, Babe Ruth invited him to join an intimate assemblage at his hunting lodge. Within two months, David Simpson died.”
A year later he partied with tap dancer Bill “Bojangles” Robinson during a train ride back home from the 1932 World Series in Chicago: “Robinson had been Ruth’s invited guest for the trip to Chicago, and, at each stop returning home, Babe and Bill entertained the jubilant crowds with their joint antics.”
Yet here we are 85 years later dealing with Kaepernick, a disagreeable multimillionaire who constantly uses fake cries of racism to paint himself as a victim and, it would appear, earn more money.
A report published this week by Breitbart cited sources who claimed Kaepernick, who’s currently without a team, purposefully turned down one team’s offer “in order to incite a racially driven media backlash that would yield the controversial quarterback more money.”
That’s despicable, though typical for guys like Kaepernick, who will never in a million years measure up to the greats like Babe Ruth.

‘Race messiah’: Insider says Colin Kaepernick turned down contract in order to build race narrative
The NFL season is just around the corner and former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is still out of a job — but that’s not because a team hasn’t offered him a contract, a new report reveals.
Kaepernick became the most controversial player in the NFL last year after he protested the national anthem at each game by taking a knee. He began his protest to bring attention to the issue of police brutality in the U.S.
The protest resonated with many of the league’s players, but it largely disenfranchised patriotic football fans because they saw it as extremely disrespectful to America. Kaepernick’s popularity in the league tanked, and after another up-and-down season in 2016, Kaepernick opted for free agency, leaving his longtime team, the San Francisco 49ers.
Kaepernick has remained unsigned through the offseason, leading many of his supporters to accuse the NFL of “blackballing” him for his controversial protest.
But a report from the Daily Caller disputes that narrative. An NFL insider recently told the news outlet that Kaepernick hasn’t been blackballed like many claim. In fact, the source said a team offered Kaepernick a contract over the offseason, which he later turned down because he reportedly didn’t want to earn “backup money.”

“Colin thinks he’s fighting a much higher battle than he is,” the insider told the Daily Caller. “He views himself as a race messiah.”
There has been no additional reporting from news outlets that cover the NFL to confirm that Kaepernick was ever offered a contract. However, several teams have courted Kaepernick this offseason.
First, the Seattle Seahawks looked to be extremely interested in Kaepernick but later opted not to sign him because Seattle head coach Pete Carroll said Kaepernick was still starter material. Seattle already has a reliable starting quarterback in Russell Wilson. The Baltimore Ravens showed some interest, but later chose not to sign him.
And just days ago, the Miami Dolphins expressed potential interest in Kaepernick to replace their injured franchise quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, but later opted to bring longtime Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler out of retirement for one year. The decision led many to accuse the Dolphins of racism.
The NFL’s preseason kicks off Wednesday with a game between the Houston Texans and the Carolina Panthers. That leaves Kaepernick just less than a month to find a spot on a 53-man roster by the time the regular season starts on Sept. 7.
