There's always a chance to see some incredible awkwardness when attending
an arena sports event and the kiss cam appears on the Jumbotron.
Case in point below from Thursday night's Milwaukee Bucks playoff game where
a young man and woman were highlighted for the usual crowd-cheering moment.
But the man started shaking his head with a less-than-amused expression on his
 face.
After a solid eight head-shakes in disbelief, the man pointed to the woman next
to him while looking at the big screen. The man said, "That's my mom. That's
 my mom."

His mother then proceeded to look up from her phone, finally realizing
what's happening, and her face contorted like a person eating a bag
 of sour patch candy.

Priceless.
The Twitterverse reacted accordingly:

When You Fight Bad Things, You Have To Take Some Heat.

THE BATHROOM BILL THAT ATE NORTH CAROLINA

One year later, the law that shattered an entire state’s politics is still here. And it’s not going away soon.
RALEIGH, N.C. — On a 200-mile drive from the state capital to Kings Mountain, a tiny town where the Charlotte suburbs fade into the Appalachian foothills, state Rep. Chuck McGrady told House Speaker Tim Moore, one of the most powerful Republicans in North Carolina, not to do it.
“We shouldn’t go down this road,” McGrady told Moore just over a year ago, as he gave his fellow legislator a lift home from a session while Moore’s car was in the shop. The warning came days after Charlotte’s City Council passed an ordinance that allowed transgender people to use the bathroom of their choosing. At the time, Moore was “trying to figure out what they might do” in response, McGrady said. “I told him, ‘Let’s take our time with this.’”
But Moore, who declined to be interviewed for this story, didn’t take McGrady’s advice. In a one-day special session last March, the Republican-controlled supermajority passed House Bill 2, effectively banning legal protections for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people and requiring North Carolinians to use the bathroom assigned by their birth certificate in public places.
The backlash was swift, redefining North Carolina in the year that has elapsed since the bill’s passage, as critics and lawsuits have taken aim at what opponents view as an overly broad law that mandates discrimination against the LGBT community. The NBA relocated its All-Star game, while a long list of big businesses, like Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Dow Chemical, demanded a repeal. Forbes estimated the state had suffered $630 million in losses as of last fall. And the repercussions show little signs of easing after a year marred by boycotts, partisan rancor and finger-pointing—nearly two-thirds of North Carolina voters say they would rather eliminate HB2’s negative economic impact over enforcing the law.

How Can An NBA Player Be A Slave If He Earns Millions?

Outspoken former basketball star Charles Barkley went off on an NBA player’s slavery accusation, calling it “just asinine and stupid.”
Draymond Green, a forward for the Golden State Warriors, said New York Knicks owner James Dolan enjoyed it when former Knicks’ star Charles Oakley intimidated opponents back in the day — but can’t take it when Oakley criticizes his former team now.
“You’re doing it for me, it’s all good,” Green said Wednesday on his “Dray Day” podcast, the Washington Post reported. “But now you’re doing it against me, or you’re speaking out against my organization, it’s not good anymore? That’s a slave mentality — slave master mentality. That’s ridiculous. It was all fine and dandy when he was laying people out, taking fines and all this stuff for your organization. But now all of a sudden when he says something that he feels, it’s a problem.”
But Barkley — not one to be shy about taking the black community to task or expressing his often-conservative views — took issue with Green’s analogy.
“That is just stupid,” Barkley said Thursday on Atlanta sports talk station 680 AM, the Post reported. “I don’t think you ever use basketball analogies to compare to slavery when guys are making $20 million, $30 million a year. I just think that’s just stupid.”
Barkley added that “the Knicks have been very disrespectful to Carmelo [Anthony]” — another of Green’s points, the paper reported — but “to compare guys making $20 million, $30 million to slaves is just asinine and stupid.”
