BREAKING: Trump Staffers Reportedly Helped Give House Intelligence Chair Info About Leaks

On Thursday, The New York Times broke the news that two White House officials
supplied House Intelligence Chair Devin Nunes (R-CA) with mechanisms for
 attaining the classified intelligence information about which he spoke last
 week. According to the Times report:

Several current American officials identified the White House officials as Ezra Cohen-Watnick, the senior director for intelligence at the National Security Council, and Michael Ellis, a lawyer who works on national security issues at the White House Counsel’s Office and formerly worked on the staff of the House Intelligence Committee.

Cohen-Watnick worked for ousted former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn,
 who was the target of intelligence leaks; after Flynn was fired, Trump refused
to get rid of Cohen-Watnick, reportedly on the advice of Steve Bannon. Ellis
 worked for Nunes. It now appears that a former Flynn staffer, angered over
leaks, worked with a former staffer for Nunes to supply Nunes with information
 with which to go public. Nunes’ response to the report came from director
 of communications Jack Langer: “As he’s stated many times, Chairman
Nunes will not confirm or deny speculation about his source’s identity,
 and he will not respond to speculation from anonymous sources.”

Nunes stated on March 22 that the intelligence community had incidentally
monitored members of the Trump transition team, and that members of
the Trump staff had been unmasked inappropriately. That report drew
quick fire from Democrats who pointed out that Nunes was a member
of Trump’s transition team; that on March 21, Nunes visited the White
House grounds to review intelligence information; that immediately after
 his press conference, Nunes headed to the White House to brief Trump
 personally on the intelligence reports; and that Nunes has refused to state
whether he obtained the information from members of the White House
 staff. Nunes explained on Hannity last week, “I felt like I had a duty
and obligation to tell him, because, as you know, he’s taking a lot of
heat in the news media.”

Nunes repeatedly said that his source was not a White House staffer, but
 was a “whistle-blower type” according to Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.
 He may have been telling the truth about this source, assuming that Ellis
and Cohen-Watnick merely supplied him contact with the source. But all
of this doesn’t look squeaky clean.

This leaves several unanswered questions.

Did Team Trump supply Nunes with information so as to use the House
 Intelligence Committee as a sort of propaganda outfit? If not, why didn’t
 Ellis and Cohen-Watnick go to Trump directly, rather than funneling the
 information through Nunes?

In the end, this all makes Nunes look like a tool of the White House –
even if the information he's uncovering is valuable and the activity it
exposes criminal. And it doesn’t help when Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL) tells
 MSNBC that Nunes’ meetings with White House officials without
informing his colleagues was peachy-keen, because “He works for
 the president. He answers to the president.”

Except he doesn’t. Nunes is an elected representative. The legislature
 does not work for the president.

Unless he does. In which case, we’ve got a serious conflict of interest,
and real questions about whether Nunes should step down.

The New York Times just trashed President Donald Trump over his claims that former President Barack Obama had wiretapped his phone during the presidential election.

But what they didn’t realize was that they were proving themselves to be fake news in the process!

In an article released Sunday, Times’ writers Michael S. Schmidt and Michael D. Shear wrote, “Mr. Trump’s demand for a congressional investigation appears to be based, at least in part, on unproven claims by Breitbart News and conservative radio hosts that secret warrants were issued authorizing the tapping of the phones of Mr. Trump and his aides at Trump Tower in New York.”

But they clearly didn’t do their research.

One Breitbart article these liberals blame for reporting unproven claims references a previous Times article… written by the exact same writers!

While the online version of the article is entitled, “Intercepted Russian Communications Part of Inquiry in Trump Associates,” an editorial note at the bottom reveals the truth.

The note reads, “A version of this article appears in print on January 20, 2017 on page A1 of the New York edition with the headline, “Wiretapped Data Used in Inquiry of Trump Aides.”

In the article, the Times’ reports evidence of wiretapping, writing, “One official said reports based on some of the wiretapped communications had been provided to the White House.”

It doesn’t get any more clear than that.

The print version can be seen below, and is further proof that the liberal media will denounce Trump at any chance they get…even if it compromises their own credibility.

Mosque Near Ohio State Campus Has Multiple Terror Ties

When a Somali-born refugee attacked a crowd of pedestrians at the Ohio State University, first by running into them with a car and then attacking them with a butcher knife, attention almost immediately turned to whether the suspect had terror ties.

According to the BBC, 18-year-old Abdul Razak Ali Artan was killed by a campus police officer less than a minute after his rampage began, but not before he could injure 11 people.

It’s unknown whether he was radicalized or — if he was — where he was radicalized. However, a terror case from the Bush administration provided a very plausible suspect in a mosque just a mile from the Ohio State campus.

According to The Daily Caller, three men — Nuradin Abdi, Iyman Faris and Christopher Paul — were convicted or pleaded guilty to terrorism charges during the 2000s as part of a terror ring at the Masjid Omar mosque in Columbus.

Abdi was convicted in a plot to attack an Ohio shopping mall. Faris, meanwhile, had planned to blow up the Brooklyn Bridge. Paul was convicted for training terrorists to carry out bomb attacks on American citizens overseas.

And this was hardly “lone wolf” stuff: The New York Times reported that federal authorities had alleged that Faris had even gone so far as to meet with Osama bin Laden back in 2000.

All three had attended the Columbus mosque. However, according to The Columbus Dispatch, even lawyers for the men involved conceded that more were involved in their group.

“There were nine or 10 people that knew each other and would meet each other,” Mahjir Sherif, Abdi’s attorney, told the Dispatch back in 2007. “I’m sure with the government they are guilty by association.”

“A lot more than three performed in their jihadist group,” said David Smith, one of Faris’ lawyers.
