A Client Story

A client of mine with six children tried to get coverage from the ObamaCrapCare website. Initially, this person had gone on the estimator and was told that the subsidy would be over $300, so they applied.  After being kicked off the site four times, re-entering all the information again,  answering stupid questions (for example: Does your son need maternity coverage? Does your son have a job that offers insurance?  --The child is 3 years old) this client gets to the end and is told that the subsidy will be $34!  Oh, let's not forget that they spent 8 hours getting to this point!

They were applying to save a few bucks over their Cobra coverage.. Obviously this plan does not save them any money so they will be staying on the alternative coverage until later this year when it expires.

This event occurred this week, January 8, 2014, not three months ago.  It only tells me that the website still has major problems and we the people are being misled.

We can only conclude thatObamaCrapCare aka Outrageously Expensive ObamaCrapCare was designed to end all private insurance in this country by poor design, misleading answers, extensive delays and yet to come, insurance company denials. The denials will be due to the fact that the government is not forwarding the information to the insurance companies and therefore they will assume they are not providing coverage for the patient.

In the next 11 months all we are going to hear from the government is that the website is working fine but the insurance companies are not cooperating, denying coverage and must be taken out of the equation. Right after the election, it will be announced that all persons with individual coverage will be transitioned to Medicare (or some other government entity) and all private insurance for individuals will end. Then sometime in 2015, all insurance coverage (save those for unions, government employees, congressional staff and Congressmen/women) will move over to this new entity.

We may be wrong on the timing, however, it is going to happen whether the American people want it or not!

The Plan Is For ObamaCrapCare To Fail And Fail Dramatically So That Single Payer (Medicare) Can Take Over All Health Care!

 Chaos-Driven Path to Single Payer?

Yet another strong indication has emerged that this may be the plan.

Those who have resisted the idea that the HealthCare.gov web site and Obamacare in general may have been intentionally designed to create confusion and chaos as a means for imposing a single-payer healthcare system on a currently unwilling populace are going to have a tough time explaining away yet another recently discovered “quirk.”
To be clear, I’m not claiming, as some have inferred from previous columns, that there is a widely orchestrated chaos-creation plan, or that any attempt to capitalize on the current bedlam to impose single-payer is destined to succeed. What I am saying is that the evidence supporting the idea that certain of Obamacare’s key players are determined to try continues to mount.
The latest “nobody’s this stupid and incompetent” revelation is that Obamacare’s enrollment system “lacks a way for consumers to quickly and easily update their coverage for the birth of a baby and other common life changes.”
Press reports indicate that it’s literally impossible to add a new child to an existing health plan once a person or household has enrolled. That’s not all. HealthCare.gov also cannot handle “marriage and divorce, a death in the family, a new job or a change in income, (or) even moving to a different community.”
No one should try to verify the existence of these problems on their own. That’s because the web site is such a security nightmare that outside IT experts have publicly stated that it’s too dangerous for a user concerned about the privacy of their personal data (i.e., anyone with a brain) to use. As if that’s not enough, in late September, the chief information security officer for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services “told congressional interviewers that she explicitly recommended denial of the website’s Authority to Operate.” She “was overruled by her superiors.”
As red flags for true intentions go, Obamacare’s inability to accommodate common life changes is an even stronger indicator than the failures previously identified.
As to security, I suppose it’s possible for designers to be so ignorant that they believe it’s something they can layer in later instead of following currently accepted protocols which call for baking it in from the outset. As to the lack of progress in building a system to process billions of dollars in subsidy payments to insurers, it’s theoretically but barely conceivable that the administration is telling the truth when it insists, in essence, that “we just haven’t been able to get to that.”
But HealthCare.gov’s life changes bust takes things to a whole new level. Has anyone, anywhere, ever built an interactive database which is unable to interact, i.e., to handle fundamental changes in key information once it has been entered? Who would even think of doing this? It’s overwhelmingly likely that a programming team would have to deliberately decide to exclude the ability to carry out such basic functions during the initial design process.
There is already a precedent showing that Obama’s people are not averse to removing key features from a system’s normal design. In 2008, his presidential campaign deliberately chose to “manually disable the safeguards … in place to verify a person’s address and zip code with the cardholder’s bank.” This enabled unidentifed and unidentifiable small-dollar contributions from all over the world to pour into the campaign, likely to the tune of millions of dollars. From all appearances, as the press slept, the 2012 campaign did the same thing.
As the mountain of evidence supporting deliberately induced chaos piles up, the obvious question is: What’s their end game? I wish I knew, but what follows seems plausible.
Readers who follow the British press may have caught the news that patients have been turned away from emergency rooms in Northern Virginia, while others who arrived for treatment of possibly serious medical conditions chose to walk away when presented with a requirement to pay or promise to pay several thousand dollars out of pocket because of uncertainties about the status of their coverage. (Unfortunately most of the U.S. establishment press appears to be so intimidated by this administration that it won’t dare relay such important developments.)
It’s reasonable to believe that situations such as these are occurring throughout the nation. The only question is their frequency.
It won’t be long before a few patients who have tried and failed to get treatment die or suffer serious, debilitating complications. Who will get blamed when this happens?
In cases where the unresponsive government is at fault — which I believe will be most of them — bureaucrats will bury or destroy the damning details and count on their reliable press apparatchiks and captive hospitals, other medical providers, and insurance companies to look the other way.
I suspect that the administration is lying in wait for high-visibility opportunities to pounce on any providers who fail to provide care to duly enrolled patients, and to pillory insurers who erroneously refuse to pay for customers’ life-saving treatments. Particularly tragic circumstances would give the single-payer crowd openings to say, “See? They can’t be trusted. Keeping the private sector involved was a mistake. The government has to control healthcare, or it won’t work.”
A large portion of a populace conditioned by a half-century or more of “business is evil, government is good” in the education system might buy it.

The opposition to Obamacare is at a fever pitch, with an all-time high of 58 percent of voters surveyed saying they're against the requirement that every American be covered by health insurance, a Rasmussen poll reveals.

Also, for the second month in a row, 51 percent of insured voters and 45 percent of uninsured voters said they think overall quality of healthcare will decline because of Obamacare, says the Rasmussen Reports phone survey released Monday.

Most voters also dislike Obamacare and expect it to increase healthcare costs. Only 19 percent of respondents think their healthcare will be better by the end of the year than it is currently, as opposed to 30 percent who felt that way a year ago.

Those voters who are optimistic about the effects of Obamacare and think healthcare will improve as a result total 31 percent, also the highest to date.

However, the number of voters who consider the current healthcare system to be good or excellent is only 34 percent, according to Rasmussen.

The survey of 1,000 likely voters was conducted Saturday.

Wisconsin Republican Sen. Ron Johnson has followed through with his threats to sue the Obama administration over the federal funds lawmakers and their staff get to subsidize their healthcare coverage.

Johnson filed his suit against U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Katherine Archuleta and her department, in federal court on Monday, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Joining Johnson in his legal effort will be Paul Clement, an ex-solicitor general who argued about Obamacare's constitutionality before the Supreme Court, and Rick Esenberg of the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, reports The Hill

In October, Johnson told Newsmax of his plan to sue, warning that the real concern, above and beyond the dysfunctional HealthCare.gov website, is the damage Obamacare will do to the country's healthcare system and personal freedoms.

The Affordable Care Act includes a provision that requires lawmakers and their aides to purchase insurance plans that are created by the law or through the Obamacare exchanges, and the Office of Personnel Management said last year the government will keep helping Congress and staff members offset the plans costs, just like for other federal employees.

Johnson and other Republicans though, say the assistance gives the lawmakers and their aides special treatment. Last week, Johnson said he believes the rule breaks the law, and his lawsuit will help rein in President Barack Obama's executive overreach.

The subsidies are far different from the ones everyday Americans can qualify for, reports the Oshkosh Northwestern, Johnson's hometown newspaper.

According to the ACA provisions, Americans who make less than $45,000 annually qualify for federal subsidies, but members of Congress are paid $175,000 per year, far above the act's subsidy cutoff.

"The American people have an expectation — Wisconsinites have an expectation — that members of Congress should be subjected to the letter of the law just like they’re held to the letter of the law," Johnson said Sunday. "In this case, members of Congress now are not being held to the letter of the law, and that creates an alienation. It creates a wedge between a member of Congress and their constituents."

Johnson, a businessman, was elected in 2010, defeating three-term Democrat Russ Feingold. He is a member of the Budget, Foreign Relations, Commerce, and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committees.

Even aside from the lawsuit, Johnson believes that Obamacare will cause great damages to the United States.

"The real harm of Obamacare once it becomes fully implemented is the damage it'll cause to our healthcare system, to our federal budget, to our personal freedoms," he told Newsmax in October, when discussing the potential for a lawsuit. "So they may fix the website, but there's no way they can fix the harm if Obamacare actually takes permanent root."

Johnson has also, in recent months, called Obamacare "a political fraud," and said President Barack Obama's repeated promise, echoed by other Democrats, that Americans can keep their healthcare plans was "fully vetted, coldly calculated and carefully crafted" to sell Obamacare.

"Those assurances weren't slight exaggerations or innocent shadings of the truth," Johnson said. "It was a political fraud echoed relentlessly by House and Senate Democrats who should be held accountable for the disastrous consequences of their grand deception."
