We Wondered How Long It Would Take Before She Played This Card!

Hateful Fresno Prof Literally Blaming Her Troubles on Racism

Hateful Fresno Prof Literally Blaming Her Troubles on Racism

When news broke of the death of former first lady Barbara Bush, the vast majority of the country mourned her passing and celebrated her full life.
Of course, there were some who took the solemn moment and used it for political grandstanding of the worst sort — dancing on the grave of an ideological opponent — such as was seen in a controversial and disgusting tweets from Fresno State University professor Randa Jarrar.
Following her comments, there was intense backlash… which she now is blaming on racism.
Jarrar unashamedly tweeted, “Barbara Bush was a generous and smart and amazing racist who, along with her husband, raised a war criminal.”
That tweet sparked a flurry of outraged protest and demands that Jarrar be fired, a demand she countered by claiming she was tenured and untouchable in her professorial position at Fresno State.
One might think the backlash and subtle threat to her tenured position from the school would prompt an apology and retraction — or at least a moment of self-reflection — but Jarrar has stood firm on her grave-dancing comments and is now blaming racism for the slings and arrows headed her way, according to The Daily Caller.
Jarrar, who appears white but claims to be of Egyptian, Greek and Palestinian descent, says her race and Muslim religion played a significant role in the criticism she has received.
In an exclusive interview with The Cut, Jarrar said she “absolutely” stood by her initial comments, doubling down with more slams against the Bush family while  pointing to racism as the reason people are criticizing her remarks against a white person.

Do you think race played a role in the criticism against her?

“I am not the only person who has stated the belief that Barbara Bush was a racist,” Jarrar said. “But women of color routinely have their tone policed, their justified anger painted as hatred, and their criticism of injustice framed as racism toward white people.”
As to what prompted her screed against Bush in the first place, Jarrar said, “I felt compelled to speak up because I want people to remember history. I want people to know that our country’s actions don’t just disappear; they have real, negative consequences.”
“If we want a better future, we have to confront our past,” she continued. “The Bush family — including Barbara Bush — supported policies that harmed and destroyed the lives of millions.”
As for the demands that she be fired from her tenured position at the university, Jarrar characterized those calls as an attack on her First Amendment right of free speech and an attempt to censor and silence her.
However, The Daily Caller noted that several prominent right-leaning writers have defended Jarrar’s right to speak freely — even as they find what she said to be utterly abhorrent — to include The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro and National Review’s David French, among others.

And that really is the crux of the matter. Nobody has claimed that Jarrar couldn’t say what she said about Barbara Bush, they only questioned whether she should have said what she said it.
For Jarrar to invoke racism in her attack on the deceased former first lady and then hide behind a separate invocation of racism to defend against the justifiable criticism headed her way is a classic example of how progressive leftists operate these days.
It is nothing short of despicable, and while Jarrar and other hateful leftists have every right to say hateful things, they better be prepared to receive a torrent of righteous indignation in return.
What do you think?

Is This Your Typical Leftist Radical Or A Wannabe?

WATCH: Fresno State Professor Praises Plane Hijackers, Calls For Acts Of Terrorism

A newly uncovered video featuring Fresno State professor Randa Jarrar shows the far-left professor praising plane hijackers and calling for acts of domestic terrorism against specific individuals.
The Fresno Bee reports:
In one clip featured in the video, Jarrar is discussing Fresno's agriculture industry and says "a lot of the farmers now are Trump supporters and just f---ing stupid." In another, she says she can't stand "the white, hetero patriarchy."
Jarrar, who is currently under investigation by the university for recent tweets attacking the Bush family after the passing of Barbara Bush, is also seen in the video promoting "resistance fighters" who hijacked planes in the 1960s and '70s.
"I don’t give a f---. I'm buying guns. I'm an American. I'm buying guns," Jarrar said. "The other side is, like, doing some stupid s---. I'm gonna do some stupid s---. I'm tired of, like, being the bigger person — literally am usually — but, like, I'm also just tired of the left being, like, f---ing stupid and being like, ‘No we have to like be gentle' … no, don’t be f------ gentle.'"
Later in the clip, Jarrar calls for attacks against someone named Spencer, asking why "Spencer's house is still standing."
"It needs to be f---ing broken into," she said. "People need to f---ing throw grenades into it. I don’t give a f---."

Barbara Bush -A Racist And Raised A War Criminal, Hardly! However, In The US Even Idiots Get Their Free Speech, Anywhere But On Campus

Here's why that professor dancing on Barbara Bush's grave shouldn't be fired

Former first lady Barbara Bush died on Tuesday night at the age of 92 — only two days after it was announced she would forgo further medical treatment and receive comfort care.
She leaves behind a memorable legacy in which she spearheaded programs to reduce illiteracy in America, in addition to being actively involved in the campaigns of her husband, former President George H.W. Bush. Yet, some liberals seem keen on dancing on the former first Lady's grave instead.
Take Fresno State professor Randa Jarrar. Following the news of Bush's death, Jarrar called her a "racist," who "raised a war criminal," referring to her son, former President George W. Bush.
Instead of reprimanding Jarrar, Fresno State University President Joseph Castro released a statement that stopped well short of a condemnation.
As of Wednesday morning, Jarrar set her Twitter account to private, saying in her bio, "Currently on leave from Fresno State. this is my private account and represents my opinions."
It's quite appalling that someone would use the death of a beloved figure like Barbara Bush to drag her memory through the mud. Criticizing the former first lady on her politics or the politics and policies of her husband and son while they served as president is one thing, but what Jarrar did treads into the territory of just straight vitriol. And that's problematic.
Don't get me wrong, you should be allowed to criticize public figures whether they're alive or dead. However, if Jarrar was trying to criticize the former first lady, she did a very poor job of expressing it. Calling her a "racist" who intentionally "raised a war criminal" isn't criticism, it's just nasty.
Here's the thing, though: Jarrar shouldn't be fired from Fresno State University over her comments, as objectionable they may seem. She's protected by the First Amendment, and Fresno State is a public university. It would be hypocritical of conservatives to call on her to be fired for making crude comments about the former first lady, especially if they criticize colleges for suppressing the speech of conservatives.
Bottom line: Jarrar represents a quality in people that's not only unflattering, but damn near cancerous. Some people choose to see the glass half full, meanwhile folks like Jarrar always see it as half empty, and there's no way to convince her that the glass is anything but. And while it's clear we shouldn't take to a boycott or protest to demand a professor be fired for speaking their mind, the very least we can do is call them out on it. After all, the answer to problematic speech is more speech to counter it.
