Self-Proclaimed “Thorn in Obama’s Side” Can’t Hide His True Colors from Second Amendment Voters

With elections just around the corner it’s not uncommon to hear politicians say all kinds of outlandish things to voters in an attempt to further cement their chances of winning an election.

But Mark Udall is making the commander in chief look like a rookie when it comes to the lies he’s telling.

In case you don’t know, Mark Udall is Colorado’s progressiveSenator looking to severely hobble second amendment supporters.

And to court undecided voters who don’t like Obama, Udall has come up with a fairy tale where he insists that he’s the last person President Obama wants to see coming down the lawn of the White House. You know, because he’s always telling Obama “No.”

Udall has tried to convince voters that he’s actually working against the President most of the time. However, his voting record really doesn’t support the image he’s trying to portray.

As Town Hall reports, “Colorado’s Mark Udall is the ultimate Obama rubber stamp. He’s represented his purple state in a reflexively partisan, close-minded manner, backing President Obama 99 percent of the time.”

And unfortunately for gun owners in the Mile High State, Udall’s voting record has severely limited their 2nd Amendment freedoms to where Colorado now has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation.

Udall is very much like the man he claims to aggravate, consistently voting in favor of harsher gun control laws every single time he can. He has voted for anti-gun judges, magazine bans, universal gun owner registration and much more.

So what’s this about him being a pain in Obama’s side? Is he simply trying to pull the wool over voters’ eyes?

In short, yes.

Fact of the matter is, of all the lawmakers in the nation, he is only one of a handful that has been selected to hit the greens with Obama. Apparently, playing golf with Obama counts as “resistance.”

Gun Owners of America has compiled a list they call “Udall’s Dirty Dozen,” whichcatalogs the many times Udall has restricted conservatives’ right to bear arms.

Udall might be be getting high on the legal weed out there in Colorado because no one in their right mind can say they’re a pain in Obama’s side when they’re the one who is helping get Obama’s gun control rammed through the legislative process.

Perhaps that’s why Michael Bloomberg endorsed Udall for Everytown for Gun Safety, Bloomberg’s pet project to get guns out of people’s hands.

Whatever the case might be, if a politician like Udall or Obama says they’re in favor of the second amendment, you can assume they’re lying about that too.

President Obama is wasting no time hitting the links on his two-week vacation.

The commander in chief went to the golf course his first two days in Martha’s Vineyard.

After spending just half an hour on Saturday at his rental digs (a $12 million, seven-bedroom abode), Obama teed up for his first game of golf, according to White House press pool reports. One of his partners on the golf course was basketball star Ray Allen.

Obama also ventured back to the course the next day, accompanied by three golfing partners.

The putting green has been a staple of the first family’s vacation plans, which have included a visit to the Massachusetts island every year except 2012, when it would have fallen smack in the middle of the presidential election campaign season.

Picking up a club was also one of the first moves Obama made during his August stay last year.

But heading to the golf course isn’t the only thing the Obamas have on tap during their getaway.

There will be a bit of business for the midterm elections. On Monday night, Obama will also a fundraiser on the island for Senate Democrats, who are battling to keep their upper chamber majority.

There will also be some dining out.

The White House residents are regulars at Nancy’s Restaurant and Snack Bar, where they usually indulge in some far-from-low-cal finger food feasts. Last year, Obama ordered fried shrimp, fried oysters, onion rings, and French fries at the no-reservations Martha’s Vineyard eatery.

At least some of that oil-soaked meal gets burned off when the Obamas go for their traditional bike ride as a family. The president and Michelle Obama, along with daughters Sasha and Malia, have made pedaling through the Manuel F. Correllus State Forest a signature part of their annual excursion.

Obama has also in years past taken his now-teenage girls on an outing to a local bookstore called Bunch of Grapes. In 2011, Obama left the literary haven with at least two books in hand, including, Room by Emma Donoghue and The Bayou Trilogy by Daniel Woodrell. Sasha and Malia also picked up a book each, reportedly to fulfill a summer reading list requirement.

Obama could go to a book signing at the store on Wednesday by Hillary Clinton, his former secretary of State. She’ll be signing her latest autobiography.

A commander in chief never truly gets a chance at 24/7 R&R, and like presidents before him, Obama has been the target of critics for his vacations (and his penchant for golf). 

This year, Obama intends to interrupt his fun in the summer sun to return to the White House for “a day or two of in-person meetings,” according to White House press secretary Josh Earnest. He’ll then head back to Martha’s Vineyard.

During past vacations, the president has been photographed appearing to show he’s still on the clock. A 2013 photo released by the White House showed Obama on the phone during his summer vacation, talking to his national security team about the volatile situation in Egypt. A 2011 snapshot during the August break showed Obama receiving a national security briefing.

Thousands of Hispanics a day — mostly children — are swarming across the Southern U.S. border, overwhelming the system and creating a refugee nightmare. An Islamic horde called the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) — so evil that even al-Qaida has distanced itself from the group — is cutting a swath of terror and vicious, brutal mayhem across Iraq, using American weapons supplied to al-Qaida in Syria or left in Iraq following the U.S pullout and/or given to the Iraqi military. Russia and the U.S. are each posturing and prodding each other as if on the brink of war. The U.S. economy is in shambles.

So President Barack Obama shuffles off to vacation, play a round or two of golf at exclusive clubs only the 1 percent can afford, and raise money for the Democrat National Committee.

I often marvel as many conservatives see the country burning down around them and say things like, “Obama is an idiot,” “He’s clueless,” “Obama doesn’t know what he’s doing,” etc. Does a person, even an incompetent one, just walk away from his job as things are falling apart?

No. One walks away when his work is done. He vacations when he is finished with the task and is waiting to see it come to fruition.

Obama’s actions — golfing as the world burns — are those of a man who feels his work is done. Obama has set things in motion for the final collapse. His handlers must be proud. He knows what he’s doing, and he’s done it well.

He’s earned that round of golf. After all, intentionally transforming a country into a Third World backwater is tough work. Destroying the world is harder still.W
