The frontman of famed hard-rock band Tool lauded members of the military and law enforcement during a Sunday concert — one day before Memorial Day — and then proceeded to blast “snowflakes” in the audience.

Maynard James Keenan — who seemed visually obscured during the Boston show, keeping spotlights off him and dressing head to toe in what appeared to be a kind of riot-police costume — began by telling the crowd that “as artists, we interpret and report, that’s our job,” WZLX-FM reported. “We are merchants of emotion.”

“We have the privilege to do that because of active and former law enforcement and military defending our right to do so,” Keenan — who served in the U.S. Army as a forward observer prior to forming Tool — continued to loud cheering.

“Those of you who are law enforcement and military,” he said, “your job is to defend our right to act like whining, entitled snowflake a**holes.”

He then added a self-deprecating one-liner, “Myself being one.” Even bigger cheers this time — and even some laughter.

Then Keenan turned his attention to “snowflakes” who could hear his voice, explaining how they should treat the military and police.

“Your job is to respect them f***ing doing that for you,” he said. “Divided we fall. Don’t believe the hype, dumb-dumbs, we’re all in this together.”

The cheering was still vigorous but not quite as loud after the singer’s final call out. It’s unknown how many Tool fans in the audience identify with Snowflake Nation.

On Memorial Day, Trump Does Something That Would've Put Obama on Every Front Page

President Trump on Monday marked his first Memorial Day as commander in

 chief, heading to Arlington National Cemetery through the throngs of 

motorcycles participating in Rolling Thunder to place a wreath at the Tomb 

of the Unknown Soldier.

The large audience packed into the cemetery’s amphitheater cheered when 

Trump was introduced, and the president delivered a powerful tribute to 

America’s fallen service members, calling them “angels sent to us by God.”

“To every Gold Star family, God is with you, and your loved ones are with 

him,” Trump said. “They died in wars so that we could live in peace. Every

 time you see the sun rise over this blessed land, please know your brave 

sons and daughters pushed away the night and delivered for us all that 

great and glorious dawn.”

Of course, you wouldn't know that Trump did that if you looked at the top

 newspapers in the country. In fact, you wouldn't even know that Monday 

was Memorial Day, or that nearly every town across the United States 

held a parade to honor America's troops.

The New York Times didn't have anything on its front page about Memorial 

Day. It used a small teaser box at the bottom left corner to tout a story 

about "a soccer star's farewell to A.S. Roma," whatever that is. Not a 

word or a picture dedicated to America's military branches and their sacrifice.

The Washington Post front page was full of anti-Trump stories, "Serving 

Intelligence to Trump in Small Bites" and "Budget Would Cut Civil Rights 

Position," to name a few. And the main art showed a factory in Kentucky, 

not Trump or America's veterans. The paper, whose new motto is "Democracy

 Dies in Darkness," did feature one tiny picture at the bottom of the page

 with a referral to the Metro page for a story about Memorial Day, but no 

mention or photo of Trump.

Only USA Today, among the country's biggest papers, featured a shot of 

Trump laying the wreath, with a reference to an inside story and more 

pictures.

But here's the shot that, had former president Barack Obama done it, 

would've put him on every front page across the country. Since it was 

Trump, though, the country's liberal papers decided not to print it. 

The boy's name is Christian Jacobs, 6, and he's dressed like a Marine 

because his father, Marine Sgt. Christopher Jacobs, was killed during a 

training accident in California in 2011.

A great picture of America's president on Memorial Day. And every 

newspaper that didn't run it -- for purely partisan reasons -- ought to

 be ashamed.

Fox News Channel host Jesse Watters hit the beach for Memorial Day weekend to quiz young people about the meaning of Memorial Day and past military conflicts involving the United States. The answers were both hilarious and horrifying.

“This weekend, we celebrate Memorial Day, a day for remembering America’s fallen soldiers,” Watters said during a Saturday evening episode of FNC’s “Watters’ World.” “But how much do Americans really know about the history of that sacrifice? I have to warn you: It is shameful.”

There are plenty of “shameful” answers to Watters’ questions to choose from, but several worth highlighting came in response to Watters’ simple question about the Revolutionary War.

“Who did America fight in the Revolutionary War?” asked Watters to several beachgoers.

“The French,” responded one woman.

“That’s a good question,” said one man. “I don’t know.”

“China,” answered another young woman.

“North versus South,” responded one particularly confident-sounding man. “The Confederate versus the Union.”

Watters also asked people to name the victor of the U.S. Civil War.

“Britain,” replied one woman.

“America and Britain and Spain, some part of Spain, and uh, uh yeah,” said another young woman.

As funny and disturbing as the answers were to Watters’ questions, the results shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. Numerous studies and surveys have shown Americans know very little about their own history and even less about world history.

As a writer for the Smithsonian Institution noted in a 2015 article, in 2008, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute surveyed more than 2,500 people and found only about 50 percent could properly name the three branches of government (executive, judicial, and legislative). Similarly, the National Assessment of Educational Progress, commonly referred to as “the Nation’s Report Card,” found in 2014—the most recent test data available—only 21 percent of male students in the eighth grade and 16 percent of female eighth-grade students scored “proficient” or higher in NAEP’s U.S. history assessment.

Americans’ poor understanding of history is nothing short of pathetic, but as the nation celebrates Memorial Day, it seems more than just a little funny and sad; it’s also, as Watters stated in the introduction of his segment, “shameful.”

The Muslim Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has made the decision that Memorial Day shouldn’t honor those American soldiers who’ve died, instead, it will honor those Muslim terrorists who had been killed by American soldiers.

That right is read by you. As nearly all Americans get together on Memorial Day to honor those that paid the best sacrifice for the country’s freedom and safety, two CAIR officials spent the vacation weekend differently: questioning whether U.S. troops deserve to become honored and tweeting that the national country was “established upon white supremacy.”

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a combined group labeled by the Justice Division as a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity and “un-indicted co-conspirator” in a terrorism-financing trial, claims that it’s a moderate organization disingenuously.

Yet, on, may 23, Zahra Billoo, the radical executive-director of CAIR’s SAN FRANCISCO Bay Region chapter, tweeted that she “struggles with Memorial Day every year” about whether to honor American soldiers who passed away in wars:

She quoted another CAIR official also, Dawud Walid, the executive-director of CAIR’s Michigan chapter, as questioning if they should honor American soldiers that passed away in “unjust” wars and occupations.

That’s a direct insult to American soldiers serving in Afghanistan and those which have returned from Iraq currently, as CAIR officials describe those wars with that terminology consistently. Billoo quoted Walid as saying:

Billoo did, nevertheless, find one “soldier” she experienced comfortably honoring. ON, MAY 26, she promoted articles from the anti-Semitic and anti-American Country of Islam that asked for help for a “black liberation soldier” called Imam Jamil al-Amin:

Al-Amin was an associate of the Black Panthers terrorist group and was convicted of murdering an officer in 2000. He is anti-American also, stating “if America doesn’t arrive about, we’re gonna burn it straight down,” and “I say violence is essential. It really is as American as cherry pie.”

Al-Amin stated the U.S also Constitution is against what Allah has commanded “diametrically.”

Plus they are not the just CAIR officials caught defending terrorists. This past year, the Clarion Project reported about how the chairman of the table for CAIR’s Arizona chapter, delivered tweets depicting the U.S. armed service as “occupiers” and “murderers.”

So a Muslim business that Barack Obama invites to key White House meetings, and wants you to believe is really as American as apple pie, is usually captured once against denouncing America, and assisting Muslim jihadists.

The Bible warns that our words have the power of life and death, a lesson which President Barack Obama may be learning following a controversial speech last week. Kicking off Memorial Day weekend, President Obama paid a visit to Hiroshima, raising ire and drawing criticism for allegedly apologizing on behalf of the US for dropping a nuclear bomb on the site in 1945 and effectively ending WWII.

While Obama did not actually apologize at any point in his speech, he was also called to task for neglecting to mention American bravery and for drawing a moral equivalence between Axis and Allied powers.

There is no question that the effects of nuclear war are devastating, but many political commentators and media figures found a lack of context in Obama’s empathetic words to Japanese survivors.

“In case you were wondering, at no point did Obama mention Pearl Harbor and the dead there, or the more than 100,000 Americans who lost their lives in the Pacific theater, or the half-million to one million Americans who would have had to sacrifice themselves to storm the island of Japan using conventional means,” wrote Ben Shapiro for Daily Wire.

“What Obama did NOT do in his speech in Japan was to praise America’s fallen warriors, the men and women whose bravery and sacrifice saved the world from nuclear war over the 71 years since that first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima in 1945,” pointed out Tom Tancredo in his article for Breitbart.

Likewise, Obama’s failure to distinguish between the motives of the Nazis and their supporters and those of America and her allies elicited resentment.

“The world war that reached its brutal end in Hiroshima and Nagasaki was fought among the wealthiest and most powerful of nations,” Obama noted. “Their civilizations had given the world great cities and magnificent art. Their thinkers had advanced ideas of justice and harmony and truth. And yet the war grew out of the same base instinct for domination or conquest that had caused conflicts among the simplest tribes, an old pattern amplified by new capabilities and without new constraints.”

“This is disgusting,” commented Shapiro. “If you can’t spot the bad guys and the good guys in World War II, of all conflicts, you’re on the side of a valueless nihilism that allows the possibility of future world wars – after all, you can’t take a strong stand against evil if it doesn’t exist. Japan was wrong. America was right. Germany was wrong. America was right. End of story.”

Tancredo indicated the timing of Obama’s speech added insult to injury. “We can honor our fallen warriors this Memorial Day only by remembering such moral distinctions, not forgetting them as Obama did at Hiroshima.”

Stopping just short of an apology, Obama took responsibility for ushering an age of “atomic warfare”, claiming, “[W]e can choose a future in which Hiroshima and Nagasaki are known not as the dawn of atomic warfare but as the start of our own moral awakening.”

In Obama’s estimation, this is the lesson of Hiroshima. “The scientific revolution that led to the splitting of an atom requires a moral revolution as well.” He called on nuclear nations to defy the “logic of fear” and work towards eliminating their weapons stockpiles.

Yet, as Jim Geraghty pointed out in the National Review, “Hiroshima and Nagasaki weren’t the dawn of atomic warfare. Nobody’s used an atomic or nuclear weapon since then.” Shapiro added that research suggests Hiroshima and Nagasaki have actually reduced the number of war fatalities since 1945, “largely because everybody knows that if things go too far, someone will push the button.”

Obama implied, as well, that there is never a good reason to go to war. “How easily we learn to justify violence in the name of some higher cause.”

“What Obama proposed in his speech in Japan is moral disarmament, and the consequences of that moral capitulation will be horrific if the world follows his advice,” Tancredo fumed.

“Does Obama’s generation see no evil in the world — and no virtue in America — that would justify the use of those terrible weapons?” he later added.

“Some religions are worse than others,” stated Shapiro. “Some ideologies are worse than others. But not according to Obama. We’re all equal in sin, according to the President of the United States – and the only solution is to destroy American nationalism,” replacing it with a “borderless, nationless, valueless world.

“Hiroshima happened because the world slept as fascism rose…If we go to sleep again, our enemies will use that reverie to rise. But …more Americans now think using the A-bomb was wrong than right. The result will be more Hiroshimas after 70 years of nuclear peace.”
