Muslims Naming Their Sons Muhammad--How Many Are There In The US?

So-called “home-grown” terrorists such as Syed Farook, who slaughtered 14 people last month in San Bernardino, or Muhammad Abdulaziz, who gunned down five U.S. servicemen in Chattanooga last summer, were both second-generation Muslim-Americans whose parents emigrated to the U.S.
Most of the terrorists who attacked Paris in November, killing 130 people with guns and bombs, were also described by the media as “home grown jihadists” when in reality they still represented a foreign culture, born of Middle Eastern parents who migrated to Europe and never fully assimilated.
And now there is fresh evidence that this segment of the U.S. population is growing exponentially.
Buried in the Social Security data is a count of babies born with the name Muhammad.
The Center for Security Policy decided to sift through that data and found the growth of that name, spelled one of a dozen various ways, has been off the charts over the past 50 years.
“Our government, unlike many in Europe, religiously avoids counting people by religion, so we must look for indirect measures,” writes David North, author of the CIS report.

While offering a small sample, the Social Security database is able to shed light on the growth of second-generation Muslims in America. It is highly reliable and accurate. It shows a huge growth pattern.
“A boy named Mohammed born here is likely to grow up in a Muslim environment and, at the same time, be a U.S. citizen,” North writes. “So we can get a rough proxy of the growth of the population of second-generation Muslim immigrants by noting how many of them carry these names. (Third-generation babies are also included.)”
The figures show the huge growth in this population over the last 50 years, starting in 1964 when only 29 baby boys were named after the Islamic prophet who lived in the seventh century. By 2014 the number had soared to 2,931, a more than 100-to-one ratio.

In recent years, Muhammad has become the most common name for baby boys in several European countries including Britain.
According to the sixth edition of the Columbia Encyclopedia (2000), Muhammad is likely the most common given name in the world. It is estimated that more than 150 million men and boys in the world bear the name Muhammad or one of its variations.
But the trend in America is relatively new and is being fueled by various immigration programs that have been expanded since the Immigration Act of 1965 opened the flood gates of immigration from all corners of the globe.
The United States now takes in 1.1 million immigrants, legally, each year — an all-time record high — and Middle Eastern immigrants are among the fast-growing segment.
The refugee resettlement program brings approximately 40,000 people to the U.S. from Muslim countries every year, along with another 10,000 asylum seekers. And there’s been an explosion in the issuance of green cards and visas to foreign workers. There are fiance visas and entrepreneurial visas. All these programs contribute to the growth of the Muslim population. Once these immigrants come to the U.S. and have babies, their offspring automatically become U.S. citizens.
The fertility rate for Muslim women is also more than double that of native-born American women, who have only 1.9 children per woman.
Rubio bill would add to problem
The I-Squared bill, introduced by a bipartisan group of senators including presidential hopeful Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., would eliminate the caps on green cards for foreign nationals seeking jobs in the U.S. tech industry.
“Rubio’s life mission of increasing immigration is particularly evident with his new I-Squared immigration plan, which abolishes green card caps for foreign STEM workers and explodes H-1B (guest-worker) visas, leading to a tidal influx of new Muslim nationals on a speedy path to American citizenship,” one GOP congressional aide on Capitol Hill told WND.
The U.S. government’s “diversity visa lottery” program is also a heavy contributor. About 50,000 immigrants enter the U.S. annually through this program. The program was mandated by Congress to provide for a class of immigrants known as “diversity immigrants” from countries with historically low rates of immigration to the United States.
There are 19 countries from which natives are not allowed to apply for the diversity visa lottery, but only two of them – Bangladesh and Pakistan – are majority Muslim countries.
The visa lottery has accounted for a disproportionate share of Muslim immigration. In fact, people from predominantly Muslim countries accounted for 40 percent of the lottery population in 2010 and in 2013, according to CIS. It dropped to 30 percent after Bangladesh was removed from the program.
The Muslim Brotherhood’s plan for ‘stealth jihad’ exposed
The FBI in 2004 captured documents in a raid on a suspect’s home in Falls Church, Virginia, that revealed the Muslim Brotherhood plan to infiltrate and change American society from within, using liberal immigration programs and the nation’s own civil liberties against it.
That document, called the Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America, was presented as evidence in 2008 during the Holy Land Foundation terror-financing trial in Dallas, Texas. It laid out a plan for Sunni Muslims to wage nonviolent jihad against the United States, taking a long-term approach based on immigration, non-assimilation and other tactical efforts that would basically change American values by changing its people.

Islamic doctrine of migration laid out in Quran
Dr. Mark Christian, a former Sunni Muslim who grew up in Egypt the son of a Muslim Brotherhood father and became a child imam after memorizing two-thirds of the Quran by the age of 13, says the doctrine of the hijra or “migration” comes from the Muslim holy book – the Quran.
“And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many locations and abundance,” says the Quran. “And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him, his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah. And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful” (Quran 4:100).
This text also answers why hundreds of thousands of Islamic refugees leaving Iraq and Syria, ostensibly fleeing violence and war, did not flood into Saudi Arabia or the other Gulf Arab states. They were not welcomed there, nor were they eager to try their luck and physically push through the Saudi border the way they did in Europe.
“Why did the Muslims move, as refugees, north and northwest instead of south (toward Saudi Arabia) and west (into North Africa)? Because those lands are already Islamic and do not need to be conquered,” Christian says. “They also know that the cradle to grave benefits are in Europe and in America, therefore, their incomes would increase by a factor of 10 and they have to do nothing to receive and keep those benefits.”
The Muslim doctrine of migration stems from the idea that Muhammad himself made the hijra from Mecca to Medina and beyond in the 7th century. It proved highly successful in spreading the religion of “peace,” as Muhammad found vulnerable tribes that he could attack and conquer, claim the women and booty, then move on in a stronger position than before.
The current size of the U.S. Muslim population is not known because the U.S. Census does not track population by religious affiliation. It is estimated at between 3 million and 5 million. And the U.S. immigration system allows more than 230,000 more Muslims into the country every year through myriad programs from refugee resettlement to green cards. About 170,000 each year are issued “lawful permanent resident” status, also called the “green card.”
Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., who chairs the subcommittee on immigration and the national interest, has identified 72 terror attacks and attempted attacks by Muslim immigrants or their offspring over a 12-month period from July 2014 to July 2015. The Obama administration has to date refused to respond to Sessions’ request for clarification of the immigration status of the 72 terror suspects.

Giuliani: Anyone Who Thinks Shooting Wasn't Terror Is 'a Moron'

The California massacre at a county complex was unquestionably "an act of terror" – and any law enforcement official who thinks otherwise is a "moron," former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani says.

In an interview on Fox News' "America's Newsroom," Giuliani, who was mayor at the time of the 9/11 attack on New York City, said the only question was the motivation for the Wednesday slaying of 14 people at a health department complex in San Bernardino, Calif.
"The question here is not, is it an act of terror? We're beyond that," he said.

"When you've got two assault weapons, two handguns, you're in body armor, you got a home that's booby-trapped, you've been practicing to do this...."

Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and Tashfeen Malik, 27, presumably his wife, shot up a conference room where Farook's employer, the county health department, was hosting a holiday party on Wednesday, killing 14 people.
Latest News Update

"Sure it may have been motivated by some argument in a party," Giuliani said, noting officials have said Farook left the party angry before returning on a murderous rampage.

"This is pre-meditated," Giuliani said. "If you can't come to a conclusion at this point that this was an act of terror, you should find something else to do for a living than being in law enforcement. I mean, you're a moron."

"This is an act of terror without any question."

Giuliani said the motivation is less clear, whether the slayings were part of an ISIS "plot, some other plot, homegrown jihadism or just insanity."
But he noted Farook's behavior, including traveling to Saudi Arabia to bring home a bride, is "encouraged by the Islamic State."

Where Was The Vaunted NSA Screening Process? Apparently, It Missed Farook

Obama
The California massacre on Wednesday was carried out by a devout Muslim with an “IED factory” in his garage, but President Obama still thinks an Islamic terrorism designation is premature.
Details that have emerged since Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and his wife Tashfeen Malik, 27, killed 14 at a social services center in San Bernardino indicate the couple were Islamic radicals with a death wish. The two, who originally met online, had recently traveled to Saudi Arabia.
Law enforcement sources told CNN since the attack that Farook was in touch with terrorism suspects being investigated by the FBI.
Farook, who worked for the county health department, used multiple rifles, body armor and home-made explosives to kill his victims inside the Inland Regional Center. His getaway vehicle was rented days in advance, and yet Obama is reticent to call the attack terrorism.
“At this stage, we do not yet know why this terrible event occurred. We’ll get to the bottom of this and be vigilant getting the facts before we issue decisive judgments on how this occurred,” Obama said Thursday during an address from the White House.
Assistant Regional FBI Director David Bowdich said the same thing late Wednesday.
“It’s possible it goes down that road. It’s possible it does not,” Bowdich said, WND reported.
Farook’s disposal included:
  • 2 AR-15 rifles pistols.
  • 2,000 9 mm rounds and 2,500 .223 rifle rounds were found in Farook’s Redlands home.
  • At least 75 rounds were expended during the couple’s attack on the Inland Regional Center.
  • Police Chief Jarrod Burguan confirmed hundreds of tools for building “IEDs or pipe bombs” inside Farook’s home.
  • Multiple pipe bombs and explosive devices (rigged to a remote-controlled toy car) were left at the site of the massacre.
  • “Rollout bags” with multiple pipe bombs inside Farook’s rented black Ford Expedition.
A source briefed on the FBI’s investigation told Fox News on Thursday the rollout bag was a “military tactic for a sustained fight.”
“Clearly they were equipped and could have done an other attack. Luckily we stopped them before that,” Bowdich told reporters Thursday.

“It is possible that this was terrorist-related but we don’t know,” Obama added Thursday, Fox News reported. “It’s also possible that this was workplace related and until the FBI has been able to conduct what is going to be a large number of individuals, until we understand the nature of the workplace relation between the individual and his superiors, because he worked with the organization where this terrible shooting took place, until all the social media and electronic info has been exploited, we’re just not going to be able to answer those questions.”
Former FBI Assistant Director Chris Swecker told CNBC on Thursday that the agency is using a “all hands on deck” effort to get examine the couple’s past.
“They’ll be looking hard at phones, they’ll be looking at social media, they’ll be looking at computers. They’ll be dissecting this person’s life and social network,” Swecker told the network.
