The New York Times took their anti-Trump stance to a new level recently. The Times is reported to have sought out an author to write an article that was Trump-Russia themed. The article they published fantasized about Trump's assassination.

According to The Daily Wire:
The New York Times, once almost universally considered the most thorough, reliable, and professional news publication in the U.S., is now publishing "Trump assassination porn" that fantasizes about the Secret Service helping a Russian agent murder Trump.

The worst part: rather than passively receiving the submission, the New York Times Book Review went out looking for it, actively petitioning spy and crime novelists to produce Trump-Russia-themed stories that were almost guaranteed to indulge Russian conspiracy theories and include some sort of scenario that ends up with a dead President of the United States. And, of course, when they got one, they were thrilled to push it out to readers. Here's how the editors explain their Trump-Russia fiction mini-series:

...

One of the novelists proud to have her piece published by the Times was Zoe Sharp, author of the Charlie Fox series, who promoted her piece online. "Honoured to be in @nytimesbooks this week alongside @ScottTurow @JoeFinder @LauraMLippman Jason Matthews. We were asked to write short fiction on what happens next on the US/Russia scene," she wrote.

So what happens in the Trump-Russia fantasy Sharp and the Times are so enthusiastic for the paper's readers to indulge? Spoiler alert: Trump finally gets the "justice" the #resistance mob believes he deserves. Here's how the duly elected 45th President meets his demise:

The article/story goes on to discuss the demise of the President at the hands of the Secret Service and Russian agents.

This is America's most prestigious newspaper in 2018.

Michael Moore stepped up his attacks on President Donald Trump with a
donation of $10,000 to the New York City Public Theater that produced the
adaption of Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar” depicting the assassination of a
 Donald Trump-like character

“Right-wing media attacked free showings of Julius Caesar cause they said
tone was ‘anti-Trump,'” the 63-year-old filmmaker tweeted Tuesday to his
4.92 million followers.

“So Bank of America & Delta dropped funding,” he added before tweeting,
“So here’s my donation & sponsorship to The Public’s Shakespeare in the
Park in support of their right to free speech.” He included a photo of his
check to the theater.
“In a time like this, it is important that we stand up against any attempts to
censor art or free expression, especially by denying this expression the
funding that it needs,” Moore said. “As one who is about to stage my first
theatrical event on Broadway, neither I nor anyone else in the theater should
feel intimidated by what’s happened here or ever worry about how much
control certain sponsors or investors have over our work.”

Since When Is A Political Assassination Of A Sitting President Good Theatre?

CNN's Fareed Zakaria Hails Trump Assassination Play As 'Masterpiece.' (His Employer Sponsors It)

CNN serial plagiarist Fareed Zakaria went to see a production of
Julius Cesar in New York's Central Park, a play that we now know depicts
the gruesome assassination of President Trump. Nothing wrong with that.
Zakaria might not have known what he was in for.  But after it was over,
Zakaria so enjoyed the bloody spectacle, was so enthused, he declared
the play a "masterpiece" and publicly recommended it to others.
"If you're in NYC, go see Julius Caesar, free in Central Park," Zakaria
tweeted 13 days ago, "brilliantly interpreted for Trump era. A masterpiece[.]"

If you're in NYC, go see Julius Caesar, free in Central Park, brilliantly interpreted for Trump era. A masterpiece: http://bit.ly/2rUYIMR
Last week The Daily Wire broke the news that Zakaria's employer,
Time-Warner, parent company of CNN, is one of the sponsors of Trump's
 nightly assassination.
And if you are wondering what exactly it is that a prestigious CNN star and
anchor is praising as a "masterpiece" and is eager for others to see, here is
video — and yes, it is as bad as you thought:
Already two high-profile sponsors have dumped their sponsorship
of this assassination porn, Delta Airlines and Bank of America. As of this
writing, though, most (including American Express and New York Magazine )
continue to stand by the idea that it is acceptable to stab the American
president to death every night on stage.
And naturally, so does Time-Warner, owner of a CNN that has spent the last
year not being very subtle in expressing its desire to see Trump
assassinated.
CNN is a left-wing hate machine, and over the past two weeks some of those
chickens finally came home to roost. After two years in second place in the
ratings, not only did CNN fall into last place behind MSNBC in May, but only
after sponsors threatened to leave did CNN find it necessary to fire
an employee who staged Trump's decapitation. Just a few days
later, CNN was finally pressured into cutting ties with Reza Aslan for
smearing Trump as a "piece of sh*t."
Worse still, high-profile CNN stars Jake Tapper and Gloria Borger (along
with three other fake journalists) were forced to issue a humiliating
correction on a Huge Anti-Trump Story that turned out to be as
absolutely wrong as a story can be.
And now we find out that CNN's parent company is not only sponsoring
President Trump's nightly assassination, but that Fareed Zakaria, an elder
statesman at the network, hails and recommends this assassination porn
 as a "masterpiece."
I would just like to close by reminding everyone that CNN is one of the primary
news outlets responsible for getting a rodeo clown fired … because the rodeo
 clown wore an Obama mask.

BuzzFeed Should Be Investigated For Encouraging A Trump Assassination

EXCLUSIVE: Leaked Screenshots Reveal BuzzFeed Director Wishing for Trump Assassination

 Thu 4th, 2017 1:05 am EST

BuzzFeed, the outlet behind the infamous and absurd “Golden Showers” dossier, has more than a bit of disdain for President Donald Trump — as proven through these leaked conversations from their private workplace chat.
In screenshots exclusively provided to Big League Politics by former BuzzFeed employee Tim “Treadstone” Gionet, better known as Baked Alaska, the website’s Director of Social Media Maycie Thornton wishes for Trump’s assassination as co-workers laughed and cheered her on.
“Maybe someone will assassinate him,” said Thornton.
“This was not the first time BuzzFeed employees talked openly about wishing President Trump would get assassinated, they hated conservatives so much they even held an office party when Justice Scalia died. It was a toxic environment and you were declared a heretic if you were a Trump supporter, bottom line,” Treadstone told Big League.
Treadstone has been outspoken as his treatment as a BuzzFeed employee after coming out publicly in support of Trump during the election season. His allegations of being treated differently at work for being conservative were confirmed by multiple BuzzFeed employees in a profile by Oliver Darcy for Business Insider.
Appearing on Tucker Carlson on Wednesday evening, Ben Smith Editor-in-Chief of BuzzFeed News, claimed that conservatives did not face discrimination at the outlet.
Smith claimed that Treadstone’s story about unfair treatment were lies when he was confronted about it by Carlson.

Ben is lying, I was treated very unfairly at BuzzFeed when I came out as a Trump supporter. They openly wish someone will assassinate Trump. https://twitter.com/tuckercarlson/status/859928915980234752

Carlson read from Darcy’s piece, “‘I’ll never forget this story,’ Gionet said, recalling to Business Insider the “aha moment” that drove him toward Trump. ‘I was talking about the new Justin Bieber album. And I was like, ‘Dude, that new Justin Bieber album is dope. I have to admit, I love Justin Bieber. He is totally my spirit animal.’ And someone came up to me and was like, ‘Hey bro, you can’t say spirit animal, that’s culturally appropriating Native American culture and that’s not cool.’”
Treadstone claims that after his switch to Trump, his treatment at the outlet took a turn for the worst — and the hostility ultimately lead to his resignation.
“I don’t think it happened, I was not there,” Smith said. “He was not somebody who I think was persecuted for his conservative beliefs.”

Smith has previously been referred to as a “total mess” by President Trump.

Ben Smith (is that really his last name?) of @BuzzFeed is a total mess who probably got his minion Coppins to do what he didn't want to do?

Buzzfeed initially declined to comment for this report.
Will CEO Jonah Peretti condemn his employees calling for the assassination of President Trump?
UPDATE: Shortly after this report was published, all three BuzzFeed employees implicated in the leak set their Twitter accounts to private.

UPDATE: Buzzfeed spokesman Matt Mittenhal eventually replied to Big League Politics, stating, “While the remark in question is regrettable, it was made in private by someone who is not a reporter nor even an employee of BuzzFeed News. Attempting to turn a throwaway comment from an entertainment employee into evidence of bias at an affiliated news division is ludicrous.”
