With nasty cold fronts thrusting an icy and early winter across the continental U.S. — along with last winter described by USA Today as "one of the snowiest, coldest, most miserable on record" — climatologist John L. Casey thinks the weather pattern is here to stay for decades to come.

In fact, Casey, a former space shuttle engineer and NASA consultant, is out with the  provocative book "Dark Winter: How the Sun Is Causing a 30-Year Cold Spell," which warns that a radical shift in global climate is underway, and that Al Gore and other environmentalists have it completely wrong.  [Get "Dark Winter" with Free Offer – Click Here]

The earth, he says, is cooling, and cooling fast.

And unless the scientific community and political leaders act soon, cold, dark days are ahead.

Story continues below video.

Casey says the evidence is clear that the earth is rapidly growing colder because of diminished solar activity.

He says trends indicate we could be headed for colder temperatures similar to those seen in the late 1700s and early 1800s when the sun went into a "solar minimum" — a phenomenon with significantly reduced solar activity, including solar flares and sunspots.

If he's right, that would be very bad news.

"Dark Winter" posits that a 30-year period of cold has already begun. Frigid temperatures, and food shortages that inevitably result, could lead to riots and chaos.

Casey tells Newsmax, "All you have to do is trust natural cycles, and follow the facts; and that leads you to the inevitable conclusion that the sun controls the climate, and that a new cold era has begun." Casey is president of the Space and Science Research Corp., an Orlando, Fla., climate research firm.

His new book debunks global warming orthodoxy. For over a decade, he reports, the planet's oceans have been cooling. And since 2007, the atmospheric temperature has been cooling as well.

"The data is pretty solid," Casey says. "If you look at the 100-year global temperature chart, you look at the steep drop off we've had since 2007, it's the steepest drop in global temperatures in the last hundred years."

So how can the media and scientific elites make a case for global warming when it's actually cooling?

Casey suggests climate-change theorists have simply wedded themselves to the wrong theory, namely, that global temperatures respond to the level of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

Story continues below video.

Any scientist suggesting otherwise is castigated as a heretic, though there are other prominent scientists who support Casey.

Noted Russian astrophysicist Habibullo I. Abdussamatov has argued that a new, mini-ice age has begun, though Casey doesn't go that far.

He does agree with Abdussamatov that the real driver of global climate is solar activity, namely sunspots. These correspond to shifts in global temperature with a greater than 90 percent accuracy, he says.

The environmental left focuses instead on ever-rising greenhouse emissions, suggesting nature is just taking a bit of a breather before the upward march in temperatures ineluctably resumes.

"There are two fundamental flaws with that," Casey says. "No. 1, the greenhouse-gas theory, and the global climate models that they produced, never permitted a pause. As long as CO2 levels were going up, the only thing that could happen was global temperatures could go up. That has not happened.

"No. 2, there could absolutely be no cooling, much less a pause. And yet we've been cooling for 11 years now."

The recent polar vortex that sent temperatures across the Midwest plunging to sub-zero records is not an aberration, Casey says.

If "Dark Winter" is right, that means the nation is busily preparing for the wrong calamity.

"We don't have 10 years," Casey warns. "We've squandered during President Obama's administration eight years . . . and we didn't have eight years to squander."

The worst of the cooling cycle, Casey predicts, will hit in the late 2020s and the early 2030s.

Food riots will break out, demand for heating oil will spike, and the failure of the corn crop will put the squeeze on ethanol.

He even predicts the United States will ban agricultural exports to feed its own citizens.

When Casey developed his theories in 2007, he emerged with several predictions.

Rising temperatures would begin to reverse themselves within three years. The sun would enter a phase of reduced activity he called "solar hibernation." And oceanic and atmospheric temperatures would enter a long decline.

So far, all of Casey's predictions have come true. He says, "My theory tells you when it will be cold . . . and it is the cold that kills."

Casey also posits that a long-term cold spell will have dire effects on the earth's geology.

As air and ocean temperatures, the earth's crust begins changing, leading to more volcanic activity and earthquakes. Casey notes that the worst earthquake to strike the continental U.S. in modern times was in 1812 at New Madrid, Missouri – during the last great solar minimum.

The climate changes also will affect human activity and may be a prelude to revolutionary politics. He says the French Revolution took place at the beginning of the last solar minimum in 1789.

"It could be one of the reasons Putin is so eager to get Ukraine," Casey says. "For many decades before Ukraine became independent, it was the primary source of wheat for the Soviet Union during cold weather times. Putin must have the wheat of Ukraine for the new cold era."

Casey has a worried look as he talks about the revelations in "Dark Winter."

"There is no human on earth, much less here in the U.S., who has experienced the depth and duration of cold we're about to experience — it's that serious," he says.

New China Agreement On Global Warming Could Damage US For Years. Thanks President Obama!

handcuff

While the Obama administration trumpets a “historic” agreement on carbon emissions with China, a leading climate expert says the U.S. economy would have to collapse to comply with the terms of the deal, but President Obama’s main goal is to make it difficult for the next president, Congress and the courts to strike down his many environmental regulations.
While in China for the Asia-Pacific Economic Summit, Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping came to an agreement that would have the U.S. reducing its carbon emissions between 26 and 28 percent from 2005 levels. The Chinese, meanwhile, vowed to try to peak their emissions by 2030 and attempt to get 20 percent of their energy from “zero carbon emission sources” by that same time.
As the deal was announced, Obama’s Twitter account stated: “This is huge: The United States and China have just agreed on an ambitious new joint plan to cut carbon pollution.”
Competitive Enterprise Institute Senior Fellow Christopher Horner said the deal means business as usual for China but would force the U.S. to make draconian changes over the next decade.
“It promised massive reductions, which nobody knows how you could get to, barring serious economic collapse on the part of the U.S. This is even after the hydro-fracking boom. Even assuming you kill coal dead, nobody knows how you get to where he’s talking about, which of course will be someone else’s problem,” Horner said. “You sort of want to be on the other side of the negotiating table from people who view things like this as victories. It was hardly that.”
Listen to the WND/Radio America interview with Christopher Horner:
Horner believes handcuffing the next president is Obama’s real motivation here.
“What he’s seeking to do is bind the next president and the next president’s (Environmental Protection Agency), this Congress and the courts to say, ‘You know what? You really can’t undo my EPA rules. They’re now part of something larger. They’re embedded in a promise to the world, and I’d like the courts to recognize that,’” Horner explained. “While it sounds crazy, it’s called customary international law, and there’s always a chance.”
Previous attempts to commit the U.S. to reduced carbon were soundly rejected in the 1990s, when the Clinton administration embraced the Kyoto Accords, but the U.S. Senate unanimously approved a non-binding vote warning Clinton and then-Vice President Al Gore that any such deal would be dead on arrival.
The Constitution states the Senate must ratify any proposed treaties with a two-thirds majority. Horner said Obama’s plan is to declare that this agreement is not a treaty and is not subject to Senate approval.
“This is probably the most intriguing and disturbing aspect of this,” he said. “For more than 20 years, the executive, no matter what party he’s from, and the Senate have recognized that this is part of the treaty process. It needs to be part of the treaty process. We have a system, and this goes through it. Now that the treaty process makes it clear that they never would ratify such an agreement, the president said, ‘This isn’t a treaty. Next year won’t be a treaty, simply because I’m calling it not a treaty.’”
Horner added, “What they’re doing is side-stepping the system. He’s side-stepped it without legislation to regulate, and now he’s hoping to get a treaty by calling it not a treaty to avoid a loss in the Senate. It’s very problematic.”
However, just because Obama tries to contend it’s not an actual treaty doesn’t mean that’s how the Senate must see it.
“It’s a non-binding sense of the Senate resolution (he can’t veto it) in response to a non-binding non-treaty, saying, ‘You’re freelancing in a legally meaningless way. You’re not speaking for the United States, and no court or other country should take this as an expression of U.S. intent.’ That is the equivalent of the Senate saying, ‘No, it is a treaty,’” Horner said.
If that were to happen, Horner is convinced the Senate would have much stronger legal ground than the president.
“This desire to say, ‘Look, we’ve embedded our rules in promises to the rest of the world’ falls apart because the Senate is saying, ‘In fact, you didn’t. You are not speaking on behalf of the United States. The Senate has a role in speaking on behalf of the United States under advice and consent. We’re saying you’re speaking without our word. You don’t want our advice; you certainly don’t get our consent,’” he said.
This strategy doesn’t surprise Horner. Like the president’s unilateral approach to immigration policy, he said Obama is acting alone on climate policy – despite the clear opposition of the American people.
“This was an issue in a lot of campaigns,” he said. “[Billionaire environmental activist] Tom Steyer organized $85 million, which is almost teachers’ union money of $100 million to make climate what they called the winning issue this year. Those candidates all lost. Two survived. No candidate embraced the issue. They were doing this so the candidates wouldn’t have to, and the voters rejected it.”

Anti-Semitism Is The Driving Force Behind Israel Bashing By Dutch!

The truth is that there has never been an Israeli genocide against Palestinians, and that Israel has done everything in its power apart from not going to war at all -- that is, apart from surrendering -- to spare innocent lives, including the lives of people trying to destroy it.
Israel simply became a safe haven for a persecuted religious minority who sought statehood after having concluded that no state could guarantee their safety except for a Jewish state.
That Israel is not even any kind of player in this Muslim Sunni-Shia "ISIS War" apparently did not occur to Wijenberg.
As is so often true when vilifying Israel, "Israel" is, at bottom, most likely just a transparent fig-leaf for again vilifying "Jews."
An increasingly popular argument, when certain Dutch officials and Muslim commentatorsdiscuss Islamic State [IS] jihadists from Europe, is that these jihadists are really no different from European Jews who choose to serve in the Israel Defense Forces [IDF].
In The Netherlands this trend seems to have started when an op-ed, entitled, "Jihad for Israel," written for Al-Jazeera by Columbia University PhD. candidate Hanine Hassan, was translatedinto Dutch for the website "Wij Blijven Hier," which means "We Are Here To Stay." The website is hugely popular among Dutch youths from a Muslim background.
The main thesis of the op-ed was that serving in the IDF should be as punishable as joining IS, as the IDF, too, is a genocidal regime, just like IS.
The truth is that there has never been an Israeli genocide against Palestinians, neither systematic nor acute, and that Israel has done everything in its power apart from not going to war at all -- that is, apart from surrendering -- to spare innocent lives, including the lives of the people trying to destroy it. This argument falls on deaf ears among many Muslims, as well as on those of the youths who support them.
Sadly, it was not long before more prominent and mainstream Dutch figures began expressing similar thoughts. Pieter Broertjes, Labour Party mayor of the Dutch city and "media capital" Hilversum, said during a radio interview, when asked what to do about Dutch Muslims travelling to foreign battlegrounds: "They are adults. Dutch citizens went to Israel to fight the British, we didn't stop them either."

When asked in a radio interview what to do about Dutch Muslims travelling to foreign battlegrounds, Pieter Broertjes, Mayor of Hilversum, said: "They are adults. Dutch citizens went to Israel to fight the British, we didn't stop them either." (Image source: Museum Hilversum)

After his remarks produced a backlash, Broertjes's spokesperson formally apologized, but not Broertjes himself, although he did comment on his self-described "clumsy" comparison during later interviews.
A few months earlier, his Labour Party colleague, Yasmina Haifi, championed the fraudulentProtocols of the Elders of Zion, by stating (with a straight face): "ISIS has nothing to do with Islam. It is part of a plan by Zionists who are deliberately trying to blacken Islam's name" -- in other words, part of the supposed "Zionist conspiracy."
Jan Wijenberg, a former Dutch Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Yemen among other places, and known for his fierce anti-Israeli stance, wrote an op-ed that took the comparison even further: "The IS goal is to establish a utopian religious state, just as the Zionists have done."
Although religion does have a prominent place in Israeli society and politics, most of its citizens are not Orthodox. Zionism started out as a secular project and has never aspired to be a religious utopia, let alone an expansionist one. Jews normally do not even try to convert people; to many, the notion would be like someone trying to "convert," say, to being Japanese. The entire process of conversion to Judaism is long and laborious, perhaps so that only the most dedicated will succeed.
During the European wholesale round-ups and slaughter of the 1930s and 1940s, Israel simply became a safe haven for a persecuted religious minority who sought statehood after having concluded that no state could guarantee their safety, except for a Jewish state. The most appropriate location for this Jewish state turned out to be the strip of land to which Jews had fled after escaping Egyptian slavery; in which Jerusalem, for nearly three thousand years, became the only center of their longings and their prayers -- "If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill…" Psalms 137:5 -- and which has sheltered a sizeable population of Jews continuously, despite countless attempts to disperse them, from the time of Augustinian and Herod, through ancient Rome, and, evidently, up to the very present.
Wijenberg continued his op-ed by stating that the only way to de-radicalize Western Muslim youths is by severing all ties with the Israeli state: "Political parties that don't fully denounce Israel," he said, "exclude Muslims as full-fledged members of society. When they [Dutch political parties] combat and condemn the religiously motivated, highly criminal Zionist project, fighting against IS would be more acceptable and IS would be less attractive."
That Israel is not even any kind of player in this Muslim Sunni-Shia "ISIS War" apparently did not occur to Wijenberg. His earlier publications exclusively focus on vilifying Israel. Unsurprisingly, he was a board member of the civil initiative "Sloop de Muur," which means "Destroy the Wall." The wall to which he refers is Israel's defensive security barrier, built only after constant terrorist attacks, in order to protect Israelis -- including Muslim and Christian Israelis -- from terrorists. The barrier (it is mostly a fence; only a small fraction of it is actually a wall) has reduced the number of terrorist attacks by 90%, and saved countless lives -- apparently to Wijenberg's disappointment.
Wijenberg did not, of course, object to any other security barriers, such as the 1800-mile fence between India and Pakistan; the security barrier between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan; the 1118-mile barrier between Saudi Arabia and Yemen; the moveable concrete barrier through Baghdad or the proposed 1500-mile barrier between Afghanistan and Pakistan. It appears that to individuals who hate Israel, the answer to many sociological problems can always be: Less Israel -- no matter how far-fetched the "logic."
Although both Broertjes and Wijenberg referred to Israelis -- or Haifi to Zionists -- it seems clear they were not referring to Muslim or Christian Israelis, but only to the Jewish ones. After all, no non-Jewish Dutch citizens went to Israel to fight the British and by a "religious utopia" Wijenberg referred to a Jewish religious utopia. As is so often true when vilifying Israel, "Israel" is, at bottom, most likely just a transparent fig-leaf for again vilifying "Jews."

When Is The Western World Going To Wake To The Cruelty Of Islam? Is That We Cannot Believe People Could Be So Religiously Insensitive?

Christians ‘Losing Everything’ to Islam

This week in Pakistan, a pregnant Christian mother of four and her husband, falsely accused of burning pages of the Koran, were beaten by a Muslim mob and thrown into a kiln, a fiery oven at a brick factory, where they were roasted alive.
Over 200 Christian girls in Nigeria were captured by Boko Haram. “I abducted your girls, said its leader, Abubakar Shekau in May; “By Allah I will sell them in the marketplace” as slaves.
“I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things”—Philippians 3:8
When St. Paul wrote the above in his letter to the Christians of Philippi, he and the early church were being persecuted (Paul was eventually executed in Rome). While today’s Western Christians still quote his words in reference to their daily sacrifices, an increasing number of Christians around the world, especially the Muslim world, are indeed still losing absolutely everything for their faith.
In Uganda, in just a decade, matters have gone from bad to worse to murderous. The situation of Hassan Muwanguzi, for instance, a Muslim convert to Christianity — whose initial sacrifices are recorded in Crucified Again: Exposing Islam’s New War on Christians (page 131) — far from abating, have only gotten worse.
After he had earned a university degree in Islamic law and then, in 2003, when he was in his early 20s, converted to Christianity, his family immediately threw him out of their home. “Enraged Muslims” beat him. Later that same year, his wife left him and he lost his job as a teacher at Nankodo Islamic School, near Pallisa.
Those events were was just the beginning. Picking up the pieces of his life and moving on, he eventually opened a Christian school, Grace International Nursery and Primary School, near Muslim-majority Mbale. Since then, Hassan said, “The Muslims have tried to use all kinds of threats to make me close the school — first they used witchcraft. This did not work, so then they tried to discourage Muslims from bringing their children to the school. They said that the school was converting Muslim children to Christianity by teaching Christian Religious Education.”
When all else failed, in 2011 an Islamic teacher, Sheikh Hassan Abdalla, filed a false charge claiming that Hassan had “defiled” the sheikh’s young daughter. Together with his fellow Muslim countrymen, the Islamic cleric filed a case at the chief magistrate’s court and Hassan was subsequently arrested and jailed for three weeks.
Because his accuser, Sheikh Abdalla, repeatedly failed to appear in court to testify, Hassan was released. In his words: “The judge found out it was a false accusation, hence the case was dropped. I had been subjected to humiliation, but I forgave them for the sake of my Christian outreach in the area.”
The next Islamic attack came just a few months after Hassan was acquitted. First, the owner of the land on which Hassan had built his Christian school denied ever having sold it. This claim led to a court order to close down the school in May, 2012. The month after, in June, Hassan’s home was burnt down by three Muslims:
“My family and I escaped from the house by grace, but if it had not been so, then by now we would be no more…. This attack was mobilized by Muslim sheikhs, imams and family members after hearing that I had converted to Christianity, after studying and completing university with a degree in Islamic law.”
Less than a year later, on March 31, 2013, Hassan was hospitalized in Mbale after an aunt who had called a “family gathering” slipped some insecticide in his tea. According to Hassan:
“After eating and taking tea, I started feeling stomachache, then I realized that she was the one responsible for it—and I believe she did not do it alone, since they have been hunting for me directly and indirectly, because when I left them and converted to Christianity it pained them so much…. The reason they want to kill me is very clear—it is because of being a convert to Christianity; above all, to them it is like I brought shame by converting, as a [former] sheikh. But to God the Almighty Father, this was His plan for me to expand His Kingdom.”
When Hassan arrived at the hospital, he had already vomited, “looked confused with slurred speech” and his “vision was getting very poor,” so that “he could not even recognize the friend who brought him in,” according to the doctor who treated him.
During the family meeting, when he first began to feel ill, he telephoned a local Christian leader who advised him to leave secretly: “I knew if he were to mention to them that he was getting sick, they would harm him more,” said Bishop Kinyewa.
Most recently, on June 16, 2014, four Muslim men barged into his home; one of them shouting, “Today we shall kill you—you have been a trouble-maker and are not respecting our prophet’s religion.” The “apostate” fled into a room, thinking they would not hurt his young daughter, Grace Baruka. But then he heard the 12-year-old girl’s cries, as the Muslim invaders were strangling her.
When he came out of the room they seized him: “They hit me with a blunt object, and I fell down. I just woke up and saw neighbors surrounding me, while wailing, saying that my daughter is in critical condition.” Neighbors took Grace to a clinic but she was declared dead upon arrival. “I am regretting why I survived the poisoning,” said Hassan. God could have allowed me to die. My daughter has died, and I am now mourning for her death as well [as] have pain all over my body.”
While Hassan’s ongoing experience with the relentless “Hound of Jihad” speaks for itself, the reality is that countless Christians around the world — both Muslim converts and born Christians — are quietly “losing everything” at the hands of Muslims, including family members, “local Muslims” and Islamic terrorist organizations.
According to a human rights activist who recently visited Christians fleeing the Islamic State’s advance into Mosul, “People are severely traumatized: they have lost everything. Often they are fleeing for the second, third or even fourth time.” One Iraqi Christian man, lamenting his ongoing struggles and sounding like Hassan told her: “Sometimes I wish my parents had never brought me into the world.”
Not a month in the Muslim world goes by without attacks on churches. Many of these attacks — for example in Nigeria and Kenya — result in large casualties.
Not a month goes by without attacks on Christians accused, often without proof, of “blaspheming” or apostatizing from Islam.
This week in Pakistan, a pregnant Christian mother of four and her husband, falsely accused of burning pages of the Koran, were beaten by a Muslim mob and thrown into a kiln, a fiery oven at a brick factory, where they were roasted alive; and only a few months ago, Meriam Ibrahim, another Christian wife and mother who, while pregnant, was imprisoned in Sudan and sentenced to receive 100 lashes and then be executed on the charge of apostatizing from Muhammad’s religion. Although she has been freed, Pastor Saeed Abedini, an American, is still being held in prison in Iran for apostasy and practicing his Christian faith. His case was apparently not even raised by the Americans negotiating with Iran on its nuclear weapons program.

Abubakar Shekau (pictured here), the leader of Nigeria’s Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram, proudly claims responsibility for the abduction, sale as slaves, and forced conversion of hundreds of Christian schoolgirls.
In May, more than 200 Christian girls in Nigeria were captured by Boko Haram. “I abducted your girls, said its leader, Abubakar Shekau in May; “By Allah I will sell them in the marketplace” as slaves. In September, in Iraq, Christians fled as ISIS offered them the choice of converting or being killed.
The story of Uganda’s Hassan Muwanguzi is just one account of what countless Christians and other minorities lose while living under Islam.

The Fall By Stephen L. Rush

 “The Fall”

I’ve studied business cycles and have lead corporate teams during periods of downturn.  Strauss and Howe eloquently depicted the social effects of population implosion on the arts generation in “the Fourth Turning”.  In marketing, this is known as “decline”.  In Kondratieff Wave economics this downward trend is called “the fall”.  Everything has a lifecycle, even governments.
So, we tend to want to call a total change in governing powers, a collapse of the seat of authority, one of these words.  But, which one?  It’s very simple, really.  There is only one definition that fits: the fall.
When we talk about rulers, governments, and civilizations falling, we typically think back to historical events where there was some sort of struggle that started with violence and ended with violence.  History is rife with examples of revolts, overthrows, and coup d'états.  Our own Founding Fathers attempted a bloodless revolution, but ultimately could not resolve the conflict with just a diplomat’s pen.  This is not always the case, though.
There are occurrences where a change in the ruling party, ruling clan, or ruling class happened by way of some sort of stepping down without a fight.  In England , some successors to the monarchy were hand-picked; some were tutored.  In the United States , we do have these non-violent changes in governance all the time; they’re called elections.  And, there are some elections that are quite similar to an overthrow.
The recent “trifecta” elections, for example – where several states saw a resurgence of Republican takeover in 3 out of 3 governing bodies – reminds us that no government is immune from a fall.  Whether one believes this occurred due to gerrymandering of political districts, redrawn to suit a particular political party, is of little consequence to the historical observer.  It happened.  Now the effect of it is to be determined by sociologists and political pundits.
However, one would probably not consider the 2014 elections a “fall” just because there was a sweeping change of the guard.  In our two (primary) party system, these transformations are more like voter disgust than citizen backlash.  A ruling faction would have to undergo either a serious legal consequence, or degrading self-implosion that would result in utter replacement, for our society to have considered them “fallen”.  Perhaps then, this election epitaph on the Obama administration is more like “fail” than “fall”.
What is that mechanism, then, that causes a fall?  Often, we recognize the need for change, but don’t seem to achieve it.  Obama promised change, but all that changed was the political party, not the politics.  Political scientist Michael J. Glennon of Tufts University thinks that President Obama couldn’t have brought change even if he wanted to.  Mr. Glennon capitalizes on Walter Bagehot’s economic theory of 1860 that suggests there is government for show, and then there are those who do the real policy making behind the scenes.
In a recent interview with the Boston Globe, Mr. Glennon described key policy decisions are frequently made from biased expert advice that exaggerates the need for a particular direction. John Kerry equally alluded how our government has no real command structure, when he acknowledged some programs run automatically.  Corruption in government is not some isolated or even a rampant problem.  It is the government.
The Maya understood this to be a “total collapse mechanism” of an institution.  Although they were extremely superstitious and occultist, the Mayan people combined the sciences with their religion to form a social-political, economic, generational, and civilization cycle calendar.  They knew the times to plant and build, as well as harvest and tear down.  The idea behind this was that anyone could know the propensity for something to succeed or fail.  And, they understood when it was time to leave and walk away from a bad situation gone worse, such as when a government would face its pinnacle of debauchery and corruption.
We have the total collapse mechanism, so what is missing?  That is the wrong question.  We have the puppet politicians and “rigged” elections (redistricting, retraction of the Voting Rights Act, and state laws calling for additional encumbrances on voters, etc.).  We already have societal angst and voter disgust, revealed in the protests, marches, and assemblies.  So, the question is not what is missing, but has been diverting it from its intended purpose.
The United States is ripe for a fall, but we are distracted.  We cast blame.  We find an object of our hatred.  We say it is none of our concern.  We look away.  These are all misdirects.  We have misdirected our attention to things that do not really matter, and to people whose biggest fault is that they belong anywhere but where they are.  The fact is, they really do belong there.  You don’t.
In our arrogance, we tend to think we can do a better job.  The fact is, only Bush the younger could have finished what his father started in Iraq , and only Obama could have repaired relations with the Middle East afterwards.  That’s all there is to it.  Stop looking for a birth certificate – when a president’s home state is surrounded by international waters and laxed documentation; you won’t find it.  Or, stop looking for a fight to protect women’s rights; abortion’s already legal.  At what point does one take notice and stop chasing geese?  It is a misdirect – to keep your eyes -off- of the ball.
There are many people who are anchored to these shifting sands of political games.  You are probably one of them.  Nod; it’s okay.  Feel free to agree with that statement.  Come into the perceptual reality that you have been swindled by a smooth-talking elixir salesman trying to get you to buy a product you do not want, do not need, and can’t afford.  Let it sink in until it hurts. And, let these words roll off your tongue like a dry heave: “What have I done?  What have I been doing all this time?”
What we need in the United States is a fall.  For real.  What does that fall look like?  There is a need to return to the principles of the Founding Fathers and Constitution for good governance. Now, we learned a fall can be an election, legal maneuver, or political fallout, and does not have to result in loss of life.  But, our minds have been trained to think that the only way it could possibly happen is for some cataclysmic event or military campaign.  There are those who would say, “It can’t happen unless a bunch of people somehow take it by force”.   That is another misdirect.
