We Have Selected Our Candidate For President

We know that many of you have been waiting for Conservative Tom (probably waiting with baited breath) to select who we are going to support in the upcoming election.  That choice has been made.

Today, it is with no hesitation we announce that Conservative Musings will endorse Bernie Sanders as our candidate for President.  We do this based on three criteria. They are:

First, he is an experienced gentleman (emphasis on gentle) who has known struggles as a carpenter and writer.  He is the only person in the campaign who has known the struggles of the poor. Trump surely hasn't and neither have Hillary Or Ted Cruz.

Secondly, other than John Kasich, he is the most plain spoken man in the race. Normal people can understand him.  He talks the language of the everyday man.  We need our leaders to be able to communicate with the "great unwashed" populace of the country. No one does it better than Bernie.  Hillary only tells lies, Trump is so crude, Cruz is way too slick for most voters, he does not communicate well.

Thirdly, he will be the only candidate left in the Democratic race. Hillary will be indicted. Democrats must support the man who ran for the nomination and not do what the Republicans seem to want to do--to destroy their party through an open convention.

Lastly,  Bernie has been consistent. He has always been a socialist and wears the banner with pride. His campaign has been one where he continues to promote his ideas, while repugnant to some, they are his ideas and no one else's.  He has never wavered from his views and for this he should be supported.  Hillary has been on every side of every issue, we don't know where Trump has been or is going and Cruz, well, he says he is an outsider but his wife and he have worked on the "inside" for years, so how can we trust him.

Therefore it is our great pride that we endorse Bernie Sanders for President of the United States.

Conservative Tom

P.S.  Please note that it is April 1st and yes, this is an April Fools Day message!!

The "Queen's Campaign" May Be Derailed In Weeks. We Hope so, But Is It Too Much To Hope For?

Al Jazeera America: Hillary's FBI Interview Coming Within Days

Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign could potentially be derailed in weeks, as the FBI is expected to finish its investigation into her use of a private email system soon, according to a new report.

Al Jazeera America reports the FBI has finished looking through Clinton's emails and server. All that's left are interviews with Clinton and some of her aides. The news outlet, according to a video of the report posted on Mediaite, said Clinton is expected to speak with the FBI within days about her email setup during her time as Secretary of State (2009-2013) under President Barack Obama.
David Shuster said on Al Jazeera Wednesday the FBI is about to sit down with Clinton, the leading Democrat in the race for the White House. Also expected to be interviewed about their roles in the case are Clinton aide Philippe Reines and Clinton's former chief of staff Cheryl Mills.
Latest News Update

After the interviews, the FBI will make a recommendation to Attorney General Loretta Lynch about whether or not to charge Clinton or anyone else with a crime. That decision is expected within weeks, Shuster said.
Special:
A source told Fox News FBI Director James Comey and Lynch have been meeting on a frequent basis about the Clinton email case because of its sensitive nature.

"In a case like this you get one shot at the queen," the source told Fox. "The pressures are enormous on the agents, as the case has to be airtight and perfect."

The final outcome of the case has the potential to dramatically alter the 2016 race for the presidency. Clinton's only opponent on the left is Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders. Clinton has a strong lead in delegate votes, 1712-1011, with 22 primaries and caucuses remaining.
There have been a reported 147 FBI agents working on the Clinton case, and the investigation has found 2,115 emails on her private server contained classified information.

A preschool in the Denver area has booted a 4-year-old from its classes, telling her parents her attendance was “not a good fit,” after the parents questioned the cooperative about the books being taught, including those promoting homosexuality and transgenderism.
R.B. Sinclair, of Aurora, told the Denver Post it was her daughter who was thrown out of Montview preschool and kindergarten.
“I think at this age they don’t know what bias is,” she told the newspaper. “They could have kids from Mars and they would still play with each other. It’s not that she isn’t exposed to diversity, because it is the world we live in, but how are they having these conversations?”
The disagreement arose when the girl’s parents “raised questions about books read in their class, including ones that told the stories about same-sex couples and worms unsure about their gender,” the report said.
Sinclair wanted to opt her daughter out of what she viewed as sex education.
But officials with Montview, who boast on their website that they embrace “diversity and inclusion as essential to a balanced education,” had no tolerance for any deviation from their teaching strategy.
Sinclair reported that she’s uncertain exactly what teaching went on, but said one day her daughter came home and was “worried that her dad might no longer like girls,” the report said.
A meeting with the school followed, and the report said two days later “Sinclair was handed a letter saying it was the girl’s last day in school and that the situation was ‘not a good fit.'”
She explained that her daughter is fully familiar with a diverse community, is part of a biracial family and “has grown up with Muslim and Western culture,” the report said.
“There was no consideration for the bias against my family’s culture, faith and concerns,” Sinclair said of the school, which charges up to almost $800 a month for kindergarten attendance, and lower fees for preschool.
The report said the school dispatched a letter from parent Lance Rushton, a consultant for “inclusion and diversity.”
The letter instructed parents in how they should talk with children about books.
He addresses the inclusion of everyone, regardless of their gender, gender identity, color of skin, cultural identity, religious belief, world view, age, body type, bodily ability, mental ability, family structure, economic status.
He suggested parents find books that interest their child, but screen them for diversity and “an inclusive moral lesson.”
“Pick books that focus on different family structures, belief systems, cultural values and understandings, social position, historical trauma or economic circumstances,” the consultant advised.
The school declined to respond to the Post, or WND, for comment. On Thursday, it had a website statement that it was closed for a school break.
However, the presentation of alternative lifestyles, and a corresponding condemnation of those whose own life choices don’t support those equivalencies, is expanding – even worldwide.
WND reported only a few years ago that an organization in Scotland was delivering DVDs to every primary school specifically to teach children “alternative families.”
A report then from the Christian Institute said Stonewall Scotland, a pro-homosexual organization, had been given almost $20,000 from the Awards for All scheme run by the lottery.
The funding were to be used to pay for DVDs that celebrate same-sex duos, to be delivered to primary schools across the nation.
A related issue arose about the same time in the United States with the adoption in California of a law that allows students to decide which gender they want to be – and to use the locker rooms, restrooms and other facilities intended for that gender.
The conflict moved onto the television cameras, and when a prominent family advocate was interviewed by CNN, along with another guest, he provoked outrage by signing off with a respectful, “Hey, good to talk to you ladies.”
The program hostess was a woman. But the other “lady,” despite maintaining the distinctively female XX chromosomes, had “transitioned” to representing herself as a male.
The sign-off came from Randy Thomasson of SaveCalifornia.com, an organization that promotes traditional family values. The group has warned parents for several years already that they should pull their children out of the California public school system because of the sex indoctrination laws the state has adopted in recent years.
Thomasson was on CNN alongside Masen Davis, who works for a transgender-rights group.
Davis had responded: “Thomasson’s attempt to disrespect my own gender identity by referring to me as a ‘lady’ said more about him than me. (I’m not lady, and clearly he is no gentleman),” Davis said. “I am comfortable in my own skin, and proud of my journey as a transgender man. I have heard, though, from many transgender people and allies who are very upset by his shallow attempt to mis-gender me. Failing to honor the gender identity of a transgender person is a common way for anti-equality zealots to try to undermine our credibility and humanity.”
Thomasson offered an explanation.
“At the beginning of the interview, the liberal host calls the woman who is a transsexual activist ‘sir,’ and refers both to her and I as ‘gentlemen,'” he said. “But at the end of the interview I say ‘good to talk to you ladies,’ because both the host and my bearded opponent are indeed biological females. (Of course, the bearded Masen Davis didn’t like this fact at all and she’s complaining to CNN about me – how tyrannical and anti-free-speech!)”
The issue of “open restrooms” for transgenders and others currently is raging both in North Carolina, which adopted a law limiting the progressive political agenda, and in Georgia, where the governor vetoed a bill that had been approved by the legislature on the topic.
Back in 2009, WND reported when Judge Frank Roesch of California’s Alameda Superior Court refused permission for parents to opt their elementary-age children out of a mandatory pro-homosexual curriculum, calling them bigots and refusing to recognize their right to have their own beliefs.
Similar disputes have appeared, literally, around the world, in Estonia, Hong Kong, Finland and more.
Five years ago, California approved a law demanding that schools promote homosexuality and other alternative sexual lifestyles to children – without even telling parents. That prompted critics to express that government schools no longer are morally safe for children.
“We were unprepared for what we encountered. Book after book after book contained stories and anecdotes that weren’t merely X-rated and pornographic, but which featured explicit descriptions of sex acts between preschoolers; stories that seemed to promote and recommend child-adult sexual relationships; stories of public masturbation, anal sex in restrooms, affairs between students and teachers, five-year-olds playing sex games, semen flying through the air,” said the report.
The report was posted online by Jim Hoft at the Gateway Pundit blog after it was obtained from Breitbart.tv co-founder Scott Baker, who said the recommended children’s reading assignments needed attention.
One of the earliest fights over the issue flared a full decade ago, in 2006, when Lexington, Massachusetts, parents were outraged because their second-grade son was read a fantasy book in school about two princes getting married.
Then the teacher told them because same-sex “marriage” was legal in their state at that time there is no way a mother or father can opt out a child from such experiences.
“We are outraged,” parents Rob and Robin Wirthlin told the local Article 8 Alliance. “This is a highly charged social issue. Why are they introducing it in the second grade? And we cannot present our family’s point of view to our children if they don’t tell us what they’re saying to them.”

There Appears To Be More To The Fields-Lewandowski Story That Meets The Eye.

NEW YORK – Donald Trump’s suggestion in an interview Wednesday that former Breitbart News reporter Michelle Fields pressed battery charges against his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, because “she likes it,” echoed his campaign’s initial suggestion that Fields had a history of such allegations against public figures.
Two days after the March 8 incident, Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks said Fields’ accusation that Lewandowski “grabbed [her] tightly by the arm and yanked [her] down” was “entirely false” and that the staff had “no knowledge” of any confrontation.
“We leave it to others whether this (is) part of a larger pattern of exaggerating incidents, but on multiple occasions she has become part of the news story as opposed to reporting it,” Hicks said March 10. “Recall she also claimed to have been beaten by a New York City police officer with a baton.”
In an interview with NBC’s “Today” show Wednesday, Trump said he believes that even if Lewandowski had apologized to Fields, she would have gone ahead and filed battery charges.
“I think she would have pressed charges anyway, because I think she likes it,” Trump said.
Fields did not respond to WND requests for comment.
The March 8 incident at the Trump National Golf Course in Jupiter, Florida, after a press conference was captured in a video released Tuesday by the city’s police department. It shows Lewandowski reaching for Fields as she moves toward Trump then standing next to the candidate with a pen and phone.
Lewandowski, who plans to plead not guilty, turned himself in to Jupiter police on Tuesday morning and will appear May 4 in Palm Beach County Circuit Court on a misdemeanor battery charge.
In a column published March 10 by Breitbart, Fields said she approached Trump after the news conference to ask him a question.
“Trump acknowledged the question, but before he could answer I was jolted backwards,” Fields said. “Someone had grabbed me tightly by the arm and yanked me down. I almost fell to the ground, but was able to maintain my balance. Nonetheless, I was shaken.”
Trump has argued, however, that the overhead CCTV footage his staff gave to the police department doesn’t show her being yanked down and nearly falling to the ground.
Accused NYPD of assault
The New York City incident referenced by the Trump campaign took place in November 2011 when Fields, then a Daily Caller reporter, claimed she and videographer Direna Cousins “were struck” by NYPD officers as the police tried to clear the street of Occupy Wall Street protesters.
Daily Caller opinion editor J. Arthur Bloom quoted Fields saying: “The police officers were beating the protesters with batons, and were also beating the media. They hit Direna and me with batons. They hit other members of the press in order to get them to move out of the street.”
Bloom wrote that while Fields and Cousins were struck by the NYPD, “neither sustained injuries that required hospitalization.”
Fields said Cousins “had a camera in her hand and I had a microphone, and we were being hit.”
“When I fell to the ground I said at one point, ‘I’m just covering this! I’m covering this!’ And the officer just said, ‘Come on, get up, get up,’ before pulling me up by my jacket.'”
Bloom wrote that “in the crush of the crowd,” Fields and Cousins were unable to get off the street to comply with the NYPD orders, adding that “clear indications” that they were members of the press did not stop what he characterized as “the NYPD beating.”
“The protesters came up to me right away and asked if I needed any medical assistance. They were actually very kind and helpful. It was the police officers who were very aggressive,” Fields added.
In an interview with C-SPAN’s Brian Lamb after the Occupy Wall Street incident, Fields maintained the NYPD were the aggressors, while she found the Occupy protestors to be “quite kind.”

The video of the incident shows Fields crying and upset but apparently unhurt.
There is no evidence she ever filed a police report.
On March 10, after the Trump incident, Fields’ friend Jamie Weinstein tweeted a photograph of her with the description: “Michelle getting pushed down by police during the Occupy Wall Street protests. Trump campaign serial liars.”

Accused Allen West
In March 2015, Charles C. Johnson at GotNews.com reported that Fields accused former U.S. congressman Allen West of groping her in front of an elevator while they were colleagues at PJ Media.
But Johnson said that after making the accusation, Fields “repeatedly and emphatically refused comment on the record and asked that I change her earlier confirmation which I have now done.”
On March 10, Lewandowski posted a tweet drawing attention to the GotNews.com report, commenting that Fields “is an attention seeker who once claimed Allen West Groped her but later went silent.”
West joined PJ Media’s Next Generation in TV January 2013 to host a Web show with Fields and Los Angeles radio host John Phillips.
West could not be reached by WND for comment.

DiCaprio and RFK Jr.
As a PJTV reporter, Fields “confronted” actor Leonardo DiCaprio about his lifestyle during a climate-change protest in New York City, and when DiCaprio refused to answer, Fields “was quickly pushed out of the way by a minder,” the Daily Mail in London reported in May 2014.
A PJTV video of the incident archived on YouTube shows Fields persisting in aggressive questioning even after it was apparent DiCaprio had no interest in responding.

Fields posted a comment regarding the incident on Twitter, Sept. 21, 2014: “Talking to Leonardo DiCaprio about climate change. Don’t think he was happy about me bringing up his yachts & jets.”
At the same New York City climate-change protest, Fields cornered Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The Daily Mail reported Fields’ complaints that Kennedy “lost his cool,” “grabbed the microphone” from her and “pointed at her aggressively” after she pressed him, suggesting his lavish lifestyle was hypocritical.
In a tweet posted Sept. 21, 2014, Fields claimed Kennedy got “handsy with me.”

In an email to WND, Chicago-based reporter William J. Kelly commented that in Chicago, “what happened during the Lewandowski video would have been called ‘being nice.'”
Kelly writes for the American Spectator and has a monthly column on Newsmax.com.
Laura Grock, Kelly’s publicist, told WND that in Kelly’s reporting of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, formerly President Obama’s White House chief of staff, “a politician’s staff and security are routinely rough, never fail to make contact and regularly shove, push, hold people up against walls and trip reporters – even those who have never made any physical contact with the politician – a much different case than what happened with Mr. Lewandowski.”
To make the point, Grock forwarded to WND two videos.
In the first example, Emanuel’s staff shoved Kelly out of the way after the mayor didn’t want to answer questions.
