Will The Facts Correct The False Impression? Doubtful!

Watch: Tucker Carlson Breaks Down Unarmed Police Shootings of Black Men

Tucker Carlson Does Math On Police Shootings, Says This Is 'Not Even Close To Genocide'

The death of George Floyd in police custody, we’re told by the left, was no aberration. It was part of something systemic — “systemic” being the word that undergirds so many of the arguments that have rattled around the media these past few days.
Democrat Sens. Cory Booker of New Jersey and Kamala Harris of California provided one of the best (and certainly most visible) summations of this line of thinking in a joint news conference on Tuesday.
“This is the story of life every single day. And we have so many people in our country, African-American men, mostly unarmed, being murdered by police officers and no way of holding them accountable,” Booker said, according to a transcript from Rev. “And so the challenge we face in this body is what are we going to do? Because that is the question that protestors are demanding.”
“The reality of it is that the life of a black person in America, historically, and even most recently with Mr. Floyd, has never been treated as fully human,” Harris said. “And it is time that we come to terms with the fact that America has never fully addressed the systemic racism that has existed in our country.”
There you have it: Across this nation, we’re to understand, there’s a system cemented in place diligently killing unarmed black men.

Why do those charged with carrying it out carry it out, then? That’s a bit less clear. Ingrained prejudice? Abuse of power? Bad training? Something more sinister? That part is never quite made clear.
In fact, a lot of this argument is hazy. For instance, how many unarmed black men are being killed by police officers each year? Hundreds? Dozens? What were the circumstances?
Despite the frequency of this argument’s appearance, we never quite get specific details beyond the rhetoric. We know the specifics of George Floyd’s death all too well, yes. But beyond that — well, what?
As it turns out, all of the deaths of unarmed black men could be broken down by Fox News’ Tucker Carlson on his Wednesday show. Not the entire show, mind you. Just a segment of it.
Is systemic racism a myth?

That’s because the “so many people in our country, African-American men, mostly unarmed, being murdered by police officers” that Booker described in his news conference amounted, in 2019, to 10 African-American individuals — nine men and one woman.
And yet, as Carlson pointed out, the lawyer for Floyd’s family called the phenomenon a “genocide.”
“This is not genocide. It’s not even close to genocide. It is laughable to suggest it is,” the Fox News host said.
“Since 2015, The Washington Post has maintained a comprehensive database of fatal police shootings in this country,” Carlson said during the segment.
“Last year, The Post logged a total of 1,004 killings. Of the 802 shootings in which the race of the police officer and the suspect was noted, 371 of the those killed were white; 236 were black. The vast majority of those killed were not in fact, unarmed. The vast majority were armed, and African-American suspects were significantly more likely to have a deadly weapon than white suspects. Yet more white suspects were killed.”

Carlson went to provide a synopsis of each of the 10 cases where unarmed African-American individuals were fatally shot by police officers, none of which sounded as if it represented an instance of wider systemic racism designed to produce a “genocide” by police officers.
“The first was a man called Channara Pheap. He was killed by a Knoxville police called officer Dylan Williams,” Carlson said.
“According to Williams, Pheap attacked him, choked him and then used a Taser on him … before the officer shot him. Five eyewitnesses corroborated the officer’s claim, and the officer was not charged.
“The second case concerns a man called Marcus McVae. He was by any description a career criminal from San Angelo, Texas. He’d been convicted of aggravated assault, assault on a public servant and organized criminal activity. At the time he was killed he was wanted on drug dealing charges. A Texas state trooper pulled him over. McVae fled in his car, then he fled on foot into the woods. There, he fought with a trooper, and was shot and killed. The officer was not charged in that case.
“Marzues Scott assaulted a shop employee. When a female police officer arrived and ordered the suspect toward her car, he instead charged her and knocked her to the ground. At that point, she shot and killed him. The entire incident was caught on body camera. The officer was not charged.
“Ryan Twyman was being approached by two LA County deputies when he backed into one of them with his vehicle. The deputy was caught in the car door. He and his partner opened fire. The deputies were not charged in that case.”
And so on.
Two of the cases he described ended in charges.
In Fort Worth, Texas, Atatiana Jefferson was shot by Officer Aaron Dean after one of her neighbors saw her door open and thought something might be amiss. The neighbor called a nonemergency number and, when police arrived at the scene, Jefferson saw them approach. She came to the window with a gun to observe what was happening. Bodycam footage shows Dean shooting Jefferson through the window in a matter of seconds; he has since been charged with homicide.
In another, Gregory Griffin was shot by Officer Jovanny Crespo during a car chase in Newark, New Jersey. Crespo said he thought Griffin had pointed a gun at him — and a firearm was discovered inside Griffin’s vehicle — but Crespo is facing aggravated manslaughter charges.
As of July 1, 2019, there were roughly 44 million black Americans, according to U.S. Census data. Ten of them were shot by police despite being unarmed that year. In two cases, officers have been charged. In only one of those — the alleged murder of Jefferson by Dean — did the situation potentially rise to the heinousness and indifference to human life that we saw in the Floyd case.
In every other case, it’s not that the officers weren’t charged because of some white supremacist back-slapping criminal justice system that averts its gaze when an unarmed black individual is shot by a law enforcement officer. The material facts don’t support this interpretation.
Nor does the wider set of data, either. In a piece published in The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday, the Manhattan Institute’s Heather Mac Donald noted that even when you look at the shootings of armed suspects, factoring in the crime rate, black individuals are less likely to be killed.
“In 2019 police officers fatally shot 1,004 people, most of whom were armed or otherwise dangerous. African-Americans were about a quarter of those killed by cops last year (235), a ratio that has remained stable since 2015,” Mac Donald wrote.
“That share of black victims is less than what the black crime rate would predict, since police shootings are a function of how often officers encounter armed and violent suspects. In 2018, the latest year for which such data have been published, African-Americans made up 53% of known homicide offenders in the U.S. and commit about 60% of robberies, though they are 13% of the population.
“The police fatally shot nine unarmed blacks and 19 unarmed whites in 2019, according to a Washington Post database, down from 38 and 32, respectively, in 2015. The Post defines ‘unarmed’ broadly to include such cases as a suspect in Newark, N.J., who had a loaded handgun in his car during a police chase. In 2018 there were 7,407 black homicide victims. Assuming a comparable number of victims last year, those nine unarmed black victims of police shootings represent 0.1% of all African-Americans killed in 2019. By contrast, a police officer is 18½ times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a police officer.”
Instead, this is empty rhetoric about systemic racism leading to an inordinate number of black deaths at the hands of police used to throw a blanket over inconvenient developments for liberal and progressive politicians and pundits.
In this case, the indignation over George Floyd’s death led to mass gatherings, something considered so taboo just days before the Floyd killing that anyone who engaged in it was cast as a willing agent of death. But these mass gatherings can be countenanced because the underlying cause is the systemic killing of black individuals by police.
Real unemployment is very likely over 20 percent thanks to the coronavirus lockdowns, and the areas hit the hardest are retail and food and beverage. On our television sets, we saw riots where the businesses hit the hardest were, again, retail and food and beverage.
We don’t know how much this will end up compounding the economic misery we’re in because this is a fresh development, but compound the misery it certainly will. But that can be countenanced because the underlying cause of the destruction and looting of property was the systemic killing of black individuals by police.
Except that reason is a lie. And it was a lie for another reason, too: Things are getting better for unarmed suspects of all races.
“Last year was the safest year for unarmed suspects since The Washington Post began tracking police shootings,” Carlson pointed out. “It was the safest year for both white and black suspects.”
The mass gatherings were either a grave danger that’ll set back our flattening of the curve to a profound extent or it’ll prove the lockdowns that decimated the economy were unnecessary in the first place.
The looting is simply proof that liberal politicians are more afraid of seeming draconian than in preserving what remains of their economies.
No amount of strident rhetoric claiming that officers are killing black men because of systemic racism will change these salient facts.
Illogic, alas, will not paint a fig leaf over these troublesome facts, even if that illogic is delivered with the kind of passion that presupposes a vague notion is nothing short of gospel truth.

Former Obama intelligence official secures bail for NYC lawyer accused of Molotov cocktail attack on NYPD vehicle

A former high-level Obama administration intelligence official has guaranteed the bail for the New York City lawyer who is accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail at an NYPD vehicle. Salmah Rizvi, who worked in both the Departments of State and Defense, told the judge that the firebombing suspect is her "best friend."

Urooj Rahman was one of three people arrested this weekend, who were accused of trying to destroy NYPD vehicles. According to charging documents, Rahman tossed a Molotov cocktail at an empty police cruiser that was parked outside the 88th Precinct station house in Fort Greene around 1 a.m. Saturday.
Surveillance video captured Rahman getting into a tan van driven by Colinford Mattis, a furloughed associate of the York-based law firm Pryor Cashman and a member of Community Board 5 in East New York. Police arrested the two suspects after a brief chase in Brooklyn. In the van, police found a lighter, a bottle filled with toilet paper, and a gas tank.

Rahman was also accused of distributing incendiary devices to other rioters. Rahman and Mattis were charged with intentionally damaging a police vehicle with fire and explosives. They both face mandatory minimum sentences of five years and a maximum of 20 years in prison. Rahman's bail was set at $250,000.
Rahman, 31, is registered as an attorney in New York state and graduated from Fordham University School of Law. Rahman is friends with Rizvi, who served in the Defense Department and State Department during the Obama administration and currently an associate at the law firm Ropes & Gray, as reported by the Washington Free Beacon.
"Urooj Rahman is my best friend, and I am an associate at the law firm Ropes & Gray in Washington, D.C.," Rizvi told the judge, according to a transcript of the proceedings. "I earn $255,000 a year."
Rizvi agreed to be a surety for Rahman's bail, making her liable for the entire $250,000 amount if Rahman fails to obey the court's orders. U.S. District Judge Margo Brodie granted Rahman bail due to the "willingness of family and friends to sign on as suretors," according to Law360.
"The conduct was reckless, it was violent, it was completely lawless," Judge Brodie said of the firebombers, who both attended New York University Law School.
"We don't believe this is the time to be releasing a bomb-thrower like the defendant into the community," federal prosecutor Ian Richardson said.
"Home detention secured by the financial well-being of his entire family and several high-earning colleagues and friends should be an adequate deterrent to further danger to the community," Judge Steven Gold said.
Rahman will be detained at home and fitted with a GPS monitoring device. Mattis, the Princeton-educated attorney, was also approved for release on $250,000 bond and home detention, pending trial.
According to her biography on the Ropes & Gray's website, "Salmah is an associate in the litigation & enforcement practice group."
"Salmah also maintains an active civil rights and human rights pro bono practice, focused on prison reform, LGBTQ equality, and immigration," the site adds. "She represents asylum seekers at various stages of litigation."
The Washington Free Beacon also noted that Rizvi received scholarship funds from the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans, which was founded by the now-deceased brother of billionaire and left-wing financier George Soros.
While attending New York University School of Law, Rizvi was a fellow at the Palestinian-based legal organization Al-Haq, which was founded to challenge the "legal status of Israel as an occupying power."
Rizvi also received a scholarship supported by the Council on American-Islamic Relations. CAIR has been criticized for its ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.
Before her legal career, Rizvi worked as an analyst for the U.S. Departments of State and Defense. Rizvi's biography on the Islamic Scholarship Fund website states: "Salmah also worked full-time for the U.S. Departments of State and Defense as a lead linguist and analyst, mastering multiple foreign languages including Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi and gaining expertise in international security and diplomacy. Her high-value work would often inform the President's Daily Briefs."
The next hearing is June 12.

Whitless Whitmer Once Again Proves She Is Whitless

The Michigan Legislature’s Joint Select Committee on the COVID-19 pandemic is calling on Gov. Whitmer to testify. However, the governor has told reporters she is refusing their request. If Governor Whitmer was willing to testify before Congress, shouldn’t she testify before the legislature of her own state, and give answers to the people of Michigan on how this crisis was handled?
A full article on the invitation written by the Detroit News’s Beth LeBlanc is below.

State lawmakers ask Whitmer to testify on COVID-19 response
Beth LeBlanc, The Detroit News
Republican lawmakers have requested Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer testify before a joint, bipartisan committee created to review her response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Joint Select Committee on the COVID-19 pandemic has brought in state employees to testify on delays within the state unemployment system as layoffs in Michigan surged during a statewide shutdown.
But those witnesses were not able to answer all of the questions lawmakers posed and often deferred to the governor, said Rep. Matt Hall, the Marshall Republican who chairs the committee.
“Gov. Whitmer can provide additional answers and clarity to the decisions she has made, while upholding state government as transparent and accountable to the people it represents,” Hall said in a Thursday statement Thursday.
The bipartisan committee requested Whitmer’s presence at July 8 meeting, noting she’d already done as much for congressional leaders during a Tuesday U.S. House of Representatives committee hearing.
“State legislators have been unable to be a part of this process and, in turn, the people we represent have been unable to have their voices and concerns heard,” said Sen. Aric Nesbitt, the Lawton Republican who serves as vice chairman on the committee. “This would provide a valuable opportunity for people throughout the state to get answers to the questions they’ve been trying to ask through their local elected officials.”
Whitmer will review the request, spokeswoman Tiffany Brown said.
The letter sent to the governor Thursday noted Whitmer’s participation in the hearing will help in “upholding state government as accountable and transparent to the people it represents.”
“Doing so will help deliver answers to that single mom who has gone weeks without a paycheck, or the Main Street business owner who doesn’t have a Wall Street-sized legal team to interpret the many executive orders leaving them in limbo,” the letter said.
The state Legislature is locked in a legal battle with the governor, challenging her authority to extend her emergency declaration so as to continue her stay-home executive orders. The Legislature has argued in part the indefinite continuation of the emergency declaration usurps the authority of the Legislature as the sole lawmaking body.
A Court of Claims judge ruled in May that Whitmer has the authority to extend the emergency declaration under a 1945 law, but not under a similar law enacted in 1976. The ruling has been appealed.

For Obama The Riots Are Part Of His Plan

Everything You’re Seeing Now Is Part Of Barack Obama’s Legacy And Here’s Why

The current burning buildings moving through America today are the legacy of Barack Obama.
You don’t believe me? As President of the United States, he gave Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA his support and blessings and sided with them rather than law enforcement in Ferguson and Baltimore. He has created a liberal goon army to replace the KKK as the terrorist wing of the Democratic Party, and now they are working his Constitution destruction blueprint through mindless and senseless violence and chaos. This is your legacy Barry – own it.

OBAMAS HAD A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY

The Obamas had the golden opportunity of a lifetime when they were elected to the highest office in the world, to make a dramatic and positive influence on the black communities in our inner cities.
He could have funneled those billions, maybe trillions of dollars into the cities and turned them into “gleaming” safe cities of the future. He could have rebuilt the failing schools. “They” should have set the example of that rare thing in Northern cities — THE BLACK FAMILY (you know- one that has a FATHER and a mother and a home to live in). They could have worked with private enterprise and brought businesses and jobs to the cities. They could have worked WITH the police to create better neighborhoods, instead of against the police and label them as the enemy of the black man and woman. He is a pathological narcissist- and loves the sound of his lying voice.
Obama could have encouraged black youth to pursue an education, and “maybe you can be President, like me.” He could have given them hope and inspiration. Instead, he chose to advance his agenda by keeping blacks on the path of losers, blaming others for their failure.
The problems in some cities and schools can’t be fixed with money, as history shows. From memory, I believe Baltimore spends far above the national average on schools, and the schools are a disaster. This country has been throwing money at poverty and disfunction for generations, and if anything, it’s counterproductive.

A LITTLE OBAMA HISTORY LESSON

The only thing that was ever required of Obama is that he becomes a decent human being, and he couldn’t even do that right. He did not have to perform academically; he was a fake student and a fake professor.
He rose to Congress by undercutting his opponents, the best example being the sudden opening of Jack Ryan’s sealed divorce settlement.
He had the good fortune to run against a non-fighting Sen. John McCain (2008) and then, in 2012, the truly weird “Pierre Delecto” Romney for president.
The list of negative accomplishments as president is well-known to AT readers and commenters. For this audience, I don’t need to re-present his series of embarrassments to the Republic.

OBAMA’S TIME IN OFFICE MADE RACE RELATIONS WORSE!

He made race relations worse. He further divided the country with his rhetoric while POTUS. He doesn’t like America at all, which is why he wants to transform it fundamentally.
Obama is a Marxist. He believes he and the upper “intelligentsia” should rule over we serfs and make sure we all are equal, equally miserable, and subservient to the government-run by him and associated Democrat Marxists.
Amazingly, so many people here in America want the government to rule over them and don’t realize the resultant loss of freedom and liberty under Marxist policies as promulgated by Obama and the current crop of Democrats.

IS OBAMA INTERFERING DONE?

If anyone thinks Barack Obama isn’t still ACTIVELY working to subvert the will of the people from the 2016 election, they’re not paying attention. The number of declassified documents – available to anyone willing to take time to read them – expose and validate what we’ve always known; Obama is hopelessly corrupt.
The damages done to this country by Obama and his treasonous administration may not be reversed. IF they are, it will take decades, and likely a lot of blood.
