What Colbert's Brain Looks Like

Leftists Lose Mind Over FCC Investigating Colbert

FAKE NEWS: No, The ‘Fascist’ FCC Isn’t Cracking Down On Stephen Colbert

 Rant.”
 Joke.”
These are the headlines over the weekend from NBC News, The Hill, and Slate,
respectively, regarding a new FCC investigation regarding a lewd joke by NBC
late night comedian Stephen Colbert. Colbert, you’ll recall, joked that President
Trump was Vladimir Putin’s “c*** holster.”

There is something that these headlines seem to neglect: it is standard procedure
for the FCC to investigate possible violations of regulation based on complaints.
In other words, this wasn’t President Trump calling up the FCC and siccing the
dogs on Colbert – it was members of the general public filing complaints with
the FCC, and the FCC responding as it always does. In fact, FCC Chairman
Ajit Pai said last Wednesday, “The FCC – outside of our decency rules – we
don’t get into the business of regulating content…it’s a free country.” He added,
“People are willing and able to say anything these days…That’s one of the things
we have to respect going forward, what the courts have said about our legal
power in this area. By and large, unless it’s indecent, profane, obscene under
our rules or as interpreted by the Supreme Court, the FCC’s authority here is
 pretty limited.”
Yet the rumors continue to swirl that the Fascist Trump Nightmare has arrived.
Facebook and Twitter are replete with Trump opponents convinced that the
First Amendment has finally met its doom, with Colbert as the first martyr:

Don’t believe the rumors. If we’re truly worried about a crackdown on free
speech, we should focus on Berkeley, where leftists have used the violent
threat of Antifa to censor political opponents; Washington D.C., where Howard
Dean is stating that “hate speech” isn’t protected by the First Amendment,
and Democrats are attempting to stifle political spending during election
season; and yes, the White House, where President Trump has said he
wants to rewrite libel law. But the FCC and Stephen Colbert? Not a chance.

Colbert Needs To Be Gone Or Better Yet, Stop Watching Him And Buying From Those Who Advertise On HIs Program And The Rest Will Be History

#FireColbert Trending After Unhinged, 'Homophobic' Trump Tirade

While the establishment media yet again exposes its blatant bias against all
things conservative by giving Stephen Colbert a pass for dropping
"c**k holster" on the President of the United States, #FireColbert has
been trending on Twitter. In fact, on Tuesday, it reached the
No. 2 trending topic nationally. But it's not only pro-Trumpers promoting
he hashtag, some in the LGBT community are also calling foul on Colbert's
 "homophobic" rant.
In case you missed it, on the Late Show Monday night, Colbert took it upon
himself to say all the things that "fair-minded" journalists who are so unfairly
abused by the president cannot say. With the help of his team of bad writers,
Colbert offered up a string of juvenile insults culminating with a line that we
can safely say no other host of a once respectable talk show has ever uttered
(emphasis added):
COLBERT: Mr. President, I love your presidency, I call it "Disgrace The Nation." You're not the POTUS, you're the "Gloat-Us." You're the glutton with the button. You're a regular "Gorge Washington." You're the "presi-dunce" but you're turning into a real "prick-tator." Sir, you attract more skinheads than free Rogaine. You have more people marching against you than cancer. You talk like a sign-language gorilla that got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin's cock holster.
And this is not the first time Colbert has made such a comment about Trump.
Here he was a few months ago asking Trump,
"What does Putin's d*** taste like?":
Though many of the same folks in the media would be clamoring for a
conservative's head over such comments, particularly if directed at Barack
Obama, most of them are shrugging it off or tying themselves into knots
defending their fellow progressive. But social media is responding less
sympathetically, including many from the LGBT community.
Newsweek, which attempts to paint Colbert as more of a victim than the
offender in the situation, nonetheless admits that Colbert's joke "has clearly
caused offense among some in the LGBT community." One example
Newsweek grudgingly provides is from openly gay author and journalist
Glenn Greenwald of The Intercept.
"Homophobia for the right cause, with the right targets, is good homophobia,
apparently," Greenwald tweeted Tuesday.

Another example: James Michael Nichols, deputy editor for The Huffington
Post's Queer Voices, who wrote a piece Tuesday chiding Colbert for his "casual homophobia":
Colbert’s decision to make this kind of joke illustrates a kind of casual homophobia that permeates American culture ― even among supposed liberal allies with massive media platforms. It positions sex between two men as doing something so mockable and inherently emasculating that it’s the ultimate “fuck you” to Donald Trump ― because what could be more embarrassing to a man than having a cock in his mouth? And what could be more offensive that being compared to ― or put in the submissive position of ― a woman?
At the heart of jokes like these is an erroneous belief that men who have sex with other men are the ultimate failure of masculine expectations. The “comedy” within this idea reeks of a bygone era where the power of straight, white men went unchecked and people not meeting their ideals of masculinity ― namely women, gay people, trans people, people of color, minorities in general ― continued to always be the butt of the joke. Especially on late night television.
So will Colbert be reprimanded in any meaningful way by CBS? Don't hold your
breath. The Daily Wire's John Nolte perfectly sums up the reality of Colbert's "protected" status:
...Colbert is only getting away with this because, within our corrupt mainstream media, he is among the protected class, someone in possession of what our media considers CorrectThink, someone who is useful to the Democrats and therefore the media's cause, someone whose hatred of President Trump speaks for our media on a nightly basis. This means Colbert can do no wrong, can do whatever he wants, can hurl homophobic vitriol at a sitting president with absolutely no fear from the media of repercussions or career damage.
