No One Is Smarter Than Gruber--At Least That Is HIs Opinion

OBAMACARE ARCHITECT CLAIMS SCOTUS DOESN’T UNDERSTAND CONSTITUTION AHEAD OF RULING

‘The Supreme Court clearly doesn’t represent constitutional expertise of the broad Senate constitutional experts,’ claims Jonathon Gruber

Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber emerged to defend his healthcare bill ahead of a Supreme Court ruling after it had been ruled “unconstitutional” by a Texas federal judge last week.
In a CNN appearance Monday, Gruber, who infamously said in 2013 that Obamacare’s passage depended on the “stupidity of the American voter,” claimed the US Supreme Court didn’t understand the Constitution as well as “Senate constitutional experts.”
“The Supreme Court clearly does not represent the constitutional expertise of the broad Senate constitutional experts, who for example in 2012 by about an 80 percent to 90 percent margin said the mandate was constitutional. Yet the Supreme Court found it wasn’t,” he said.
Fortunately, he said, the SCOTUS takes the American people’s opinion into account, and over 50% view the Affordable Care Act favorably.
“So I’m nervous. What’s fortunate is the Supreme Court I think does care about the opinion of the American people. The American people have spoken. They believe that protecting people with pre-existing conditions against insurance market discrimination is a key contribution of this law. And indeed it is.”
However, those that hold a favorable view of the healthcare legislation likely don’t understand it, as also iterated by Gruber in 2013 when he said that “lack of transparency is a huge political advantage.”
Gruber also lamented the removal of the individual mandate because it was the major funding mechanism of the law, but said Obamacare would still be able to survive without it.
“We have now basically been proven that it’s important but not as important as we thought because look, we now have experience of the law without it, they removed the mandate. And we are seeing it weakens the law, it raises premiums, but the law still remains quite strong, albeit not as strong as it would have been,” he said.
However, in 2016, Gruber claimed that Obamacare would do better if the individual mandate penalty was increased.
President Trump praised the Texas judge’s ruling Friday, urging Congress to come together to work on better healthcare legislation for the American people.

Fake News--20 Million Will Not Lose Coverage If ACA Is Repealed!

Why Obamacare’s ‘20 Million’

 Number Is Fake

New research estimates that between 2 and 7 million people who are now on Medicaid still would have been eligible for the program prior to Obamacare. (Photo: Cheriss May /NurPhoto/Sipa USA/Newscom)

Liberals are notorious for caring about
“groups” of people, but when it gets
down to individual persons, not so
much. You’re about to see this play
out in spades as Democrats cry
crocodile tears over the coming
repeal of Obamacare.
You hear it over and over again:
“This will be catastrophic for the
 20 million people who were
 previously uninsured but now have
coverage! You can’t take away their
health care!”
First of all, no one is talking about
doing that. Any repeal legislation
will have a transition period for
those who got coverage through
Obamacare to move to new plans.
And second, they will have more
choices and better options. Win. Win.
But liberals would rather focus on
quantity, how many millions we’ve
 given something to, versus quality,
what does that “gift” mean for individua
people.

Dear reader:

With today’s liberal media influence,
there are few publications that
Americans can rely on to learn the
 “other” side of the issues.

The Obama administration claims 20
million more Americans today have
health care due to Obamacare. The
reality is that when you look at the
actual net gains over the past two years
since the program was fully implemented,
the number is 14 million, and of that, 11.8
million (84 percent) were people given the
“gift” of Medicaid.
And new research shows that even fewer people
will be left without insurance after the repeal
of Obamacare. Numbers are still being
crunched, but between statistics released
by the Congressional Budget Office and
one of the infamous architects of Obamacare,
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s
Jonathan Gruber, it’s estimated that anywhere
from 2 to 7 million people now on Medicaid
would have qualified for the program even
without Obamacare.
That further discredits the administration’s claim
of 20 million more Americans having health
 insurance because of Obamacare.
Multiple studies have also shown that even
those who are uninsured often have better
outcomes than those with Medicaid. A
University of Virginia study found that for
 eight different surgical procedures, Medicaid
patients were more likely to die than privately
insured or uninsured patients. They were also
more likely to suffer complications.
And it is important to note that this study
focused on procedures done from 2003-2007,
prior to the geniuses in Washington deciding
it was a good idea to put even more people
on the already overburdened Medicaid system.
Additionally, despite what proponents of the
law promised, there is little evidence to show
that the use of emergency rooms, which have
a higher level of medical errors, has decreased
 due to Obamacare.
Then there is this reality: While Obamacare has
handed out millions of new Medicaid cards, that
does not mean the recipients now have quality
health care. In fact, it doesn’t ensure they have
health care at all. That’s because increasing
numbers of doctors aren’t accepting Medicaid.
As a Louisiana woman told The New York Times,
“My Medicaid card is useless for me right now.
It’s a useless piece of plastic. I can’t find an
orthopedic surgeon or a pain management
 doctor who will accept Medicaid.”
Keep that in mind every time liberal Democratic
senators pull out the Kleenex boxes bemoaning
the fact Republicans are the ones trying to take
 people’s health care away.
Speaking of which, a much underreported fact of
Obamacare is how many truly needy and disabled
Americans are NOT getting the services they need
because of the expansion of Medicaid for able-
bodied adults (aka healthy) of prime working age,
 19-54.
So while the left talks about all the new people
Obamacare is helping, it neglects to mention
that over half a million disabled people, from those
with developmental disabilities to traumatic brain
injuries, are on waiting lists for care.
And many of them are on waiting lists because
Obamacare gives states more money to enroll
able-bodied adults than it does to take care of
disabled children and adults who qualified for
Medicaid prior to Obamacare.
If you think that doesn’t have a real-world
perverse impact, note this. Since Arkansas
 expanded its Medicaid program under
Obamacare, it’s rolls have grown by 25 percent.
During that same time, 79 people on the
Medicaid waiting list who suffered from
developmental disabilities have died. I would
encourage you to read my former Heritage
Foundation colleague Chris Jacob’s full piece on this.
Finally, it’s not just those enrolled in Medicaid
that are finding fewer health care provider options.
For people who now have health plans through the
 Obamacare exchanges, new Heritage Foundation
research shows that this year, in 70 percent of
counties across the country, those consumers
will have only one or two insurers to choose from.
Add to that the millions of people who lost the
doctors and health plans they liked and are now
paying higher premiums for less coverage, and
you can see that quality health care and anything
resembling “choice” has quickly disappeared for
an increasing number of Americans due to
 Obamacare.
So the next time a defender of Obamacare
tries to take the moral high ground about the
millions of people the law has helped, ask
them to define what “help” looks like.

Gruber Was NOT A Bit Player In Crafting ObamaCrapCare. He WAS The Main Player Regardless What Administration Says

Emails Show Jonathan Gruber

Was Of ‘Key Political Importance’

 to ObamaCare

A top Obama administration health official considered
putting MIT economist Jonathan Gruber to work on
Obamacare to be an initiative of such “key political

importance” that it was expedited because of
“political push” from the Obama administration,
emails released by the Department of Health
and Human Services (HHS) reveal.

The agency released 750 pages of
heavily-redacted records on Monday to The Daily Caller and other news outlets in
response to a Freedom of Information Act request.

In one telling exchange after Gruber’s Obamacare work was first reported in 2010,
one HHS analyst told another that having Democrats in charge “across the
board” would “stop some scrutiny” into the arrangement. Gruber’s work attracted
scrutiny because the Obama administration failed to disclose the academic’s support
for the health-care law without disclosing that he was paid $392,000 to help craft it.

The biggest takeaway from the emails is that they undermine one claim made by the
Obama administration that Gruber was merely a bit player in the development of
Obamacare. Described by many as the “architect” of the health-care law, Gruber
was thrown under the bus after numerous videos surfaced last year of him bragging
that Obamacare was passed because of “a lack of transparency” into the law and
because the American people “were too stupid” to realize they were being manipulated
 into supporting it.

Finally Someone Has The Intestinal Fortitude To Describe Obama Accurately! We Are Sure Dems Will Be Upset!

President Barack Obama
President Barack Obama
President Barack Obama was scorched Monday as a “sociopathic” liar and “lying con man” by radio host Rush for denying he misled the American public to get his signature health-care plan known as Obamacare passed.
During a news conference in Brisbane, Australia, Obama was asked by reporter Ed Henry of Fox News: “At your Burma townhall a couple of days ago, you tried to inspire young leaders by saying, ‘governments need to be held accountable, need to be responsive to the people.’ I wonder how you square that with your former adviser, Jonathan Gruber claiming you were not transparent about the health law because in his words the American people, the voters are stupid. Did you mislead Americans about the taxes, about keeping your plan in order to get the bill passed?”
“No, I did not,” Obama responded. “I just heard about this. I get well-briefed before I come out here. The fact that some adviser who never worked on our staff expressed an opinion that I completely disagree with in terms of the voters, is no reflection on the actual process that was run.”
Limbaugh, sounding incredulous, took direct aim at Obama’s answer, stating: “This is unbelievable. This little sound bite of 23 seconds may be more jam-packed with lies than any 23-second presidential sound bite I’ve ever played for you.”
Regarding Jonathan Gruber, Limbaugh said, “He was in meetings with Obama. Gruber has been bragging about them. Obama has talked about Gruber being in meetings. … He was not just a member of the staff, he was paid $400,000 alone just for this. … Gruber has made almost $6 million in government contracts, advising them on various things. … Gruber has his hands in advising the regime on amnesty, illegal immigration, how to do it, when to do it, what to do it and all that. The guy’s deep, he’s a rock star with these people.”
“It just confirms how stupid he thinks you are. That sound bite is an exclamation point to how stupid and gullible Obama believes you to be,” the host added.
Listen to audio of Rush Limbaugh calling Obama a sociopathic liar:
Obama continued with his answer to Henry, stating: “We had a year-long debate, Ed. I mean, go back and look at your stories. The one thing we can’t say is that we did not have a lengthy debate about health care in the United States of America. Or that it was not adequately covered. I would just advise – every press outlet here, go back and pull up every clip, every story, and I think it will – it’s fair to say there was not a provision in the health care law that was not extensively debated and was fully transparent.”
“Now, seriously, what are we to do about this?” asked Limbaugh. “This is sociopathic … there’s something terribly wrong here. I mean this is blatant lying.”
Radio host Rush Limbaugh

He continued: “There’s over 22,000 pages of regulations written after the bill was passed that have never been debated. The bill itself was never debated. There were never any committee hearings with experts.”
“This is a blatant, once again in-our-face lie that is again indicative of how stupid he believes everybody is.”
Limbaugh paraphrased Paul Newman’s character in the 1973 film “The Sting,” who noted “the key to the con is that it’s never over. You never let the person you conned know he’s been conned. Never. The con goes on. Well, that’s what’s happening here. They have run a giant con game on the population of this country of Obamacare, and they are continuing to run the con. They are not giving it up.”
“Obama is now fully exposed as nothing more, in common parlance, as a lying con man.”
Limbaugh said members of the Obama administration are “are lying through their teeth,” and “they have forfeited all credibility and believability and you need to be suspicious of everything.”
He said the issue of Net neutrality is the latest big con coming from Obama.
“The only intelligent thing to do is to treat these people as the suspects they are,” he added.
He concluded with a message for Obama’s opponents in the GOP, saying, “It’s time for the Republicans to man-up” and not worry about possibly shutting down the government.
“They were sent there to deal with these kind of lies and this obfuscation, these con games. They were sent there to stop this,” he said.
