Plouffe Should Look At His Old Boss Before He Plays Doctor

Obama Campaign Manager: We Have a 'Psychopath Running for President'

By Cathy Burke   |   Sunday, 28 Aug 2016 11:59 AM
President Barack Obama's former campaign adviser says Donald Trump has all the traits of a "psychopath."
In a interview aired Sunday on NBC News' "Meet the Press," David Plouffe shocked moderator Chuck Todd with the snap armchair diagnosis.
"Basically you have a psychopath running for president," Plouffe declared in answer Todd's question about the state of the 2016 presidential race. "He meets the clinical definition."

And when Todd stopped him, asking if he was qualified to make the analysis — calling it the kind of comment "gets voters frustrated" — Plouffe doubled-down.

"Grandiose notion of self worth, pathological lying, lack of empathy and remorse — so I think he does" have the traits, he said. "But right, I don't have a degree in psychology."
Plouffe went on to predict Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton "is guaranteed at least 269" votes of the Electoral College to win the White House, and that the November vote could be a "landslide.".

Critic Of Trump Believes He Could Win!

Plouffe Predicts Trump Could Win National Election

(MSNBC/"Morning Joe")
By Sandy Fitzgerald   |   Wednesday, 16 Mar 2016 11:19 AM
Donald Trump is a formidable presidential candidate who could win the swing vote, President Barack Obama's former campaign manager David Plouffe said Wednesday, once people get past his "bluster and the bigotry."
"There are a lot of things that he says that are sort of against Republican orthodoxy that he's getting criticized about that a lot of swing voters will be open to," said Plouffe on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program.

"He sucks all of the oxygen out of the room. He'll say anything about anyone any time. That's a tough thing to deal with, as we've seen."

In places like northern Virginia, or in the suburbs of Denver, he does think that Trump will under perform, but "I do think he's got the chance to over perform in the southern part of Virginia, for instance, in some of the Midwest states."

But still, there are things Trump says that could get him elected, said Plouffe.

"He says, 'I'm not going to throw out the Iran deal on day one,'" noted Plouffe. "He thinks the carried interest loophole ought to be closed. He says some things that if people can listen to him, if they can get by the bluster and bigotry, he'll have a chance."

Those On The Left And Right Are Uneasy With Obama's Unilateral Legislative Actions

PLOUFFE: OBAMA WILL NOT ENFORCE IMMIGRATION LAWS

Yesterday on CNN’s “State of the Union” Senior White House adviser David Plouffe defended President Barack Obama’s decision to halt the deportations of illegal immigrants under 30 years of age.

“This is not a political move,” Plouffe said of Obama’s attempt to court the critical Hispanic vote.
Another of Plouffe’s comments was equally controversial. Plouffe maintained that Obama’s action was “fully within” the President’s authority.
Plouffe's comments brought to mind a Supreme Court case during the Nixon administration in which the Supreme Court unanimously ruled that Nixon could not refuse to disburse aid money Congress had appropriated to the states.
While Obama’s executive action may not be legally the same as Nixon’s lack of action that was struck down, it is very similar in spirit.
As the liberal constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley said, in comments to Politico, “The president is using executive power to do things Congress has refused to do, and that does fit a disturbing pattern of expansion of executive power under President Obama.
In many ways, President Obama has fulfilled the dream of an imperial presidency that Richard Nixon strived for ... This is a president who is now functioning as a super legislator. He is effectively negating parts of the criminal code because he disagrees with them. That does go beyond the pale.
