Radical Rep's Father Says She Broke the Law to Win Election

A nearly decade-old article in The Detroit News, suggests Michigan Rep.
Rashida Tlaib's own father hasn't always had a high opinion of her.

The story, dated March 11, 2010, quotes the Democratic Socialist's father,
who accused her of lying "big-time to get elected" by deliberately falsifying
her address.

The Daily Wire's Ryan Saavedra reports:

Tlaib's father, Harbi Elabed, made the accusations against Tlaib, who at the

time was a freshman state-level representative from the 12th District in

Detroit’s Southwest side. The newspaper article was scrubbed from the

internet when The Detroit News migrated to a new website but was

available in a subscription-based digital archive. The Detroit News reported:

He said his daughter misrepresented her residency when she signed

an election affidavit in 2008 with the Wayne County Clerk claiming she

was a citizen of Detroit.

According to that affidavit, Tlaib claimed she lived at 9123 Rathbone in

Detroit. That house is owned in part by her father, Harbi Elabed, and he

now says she did not live there and he was only recently made aware that

she had claimed so.

"She lied," Elabed said. "She lied big-time to get elected. I never teach her

that way. I teach her the right way. It’s my house. She didn’t live there. She

lived in Dearborn in her house with her husband and boy."

It's OK To Lie To Infidels, Ghimmis And Americans

Rashida Tlaib Lies About Her Grandmother So She Can Blame Israel

JNS.org – Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) has a lot of “firsts” to her credit. She is the first Palestinian Arab elected to the US Congress. She is one of the first two Muslim women to be elected to Congress. And now she is the first member of Congress to make a fraudulent claim about her own grandmother in order to score points against Israel.
Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union with Jake Tapper” on March 17, Tlaib was asked about her claims that “racism” and “Islamophobia” were the real motives behind the widespread criticism of the recent antisemitic remarks by Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN).
Rep. Tlaib responded to Tapper that both she and Omar were “an easier target” because they are “very vocal against human-rights violations, especially in the country of Israel … we are coming from a place of personal experiences, as being people of color, with my living grandmother in the West Bank in the occupied territories, that we want to be heard and we want to be seen.”
Notice the crucial role that her grandmother plays in the congresswoman’s argument. Tlaib knows that if she is perceived as just another Israel-basher, her attack on alleged Israeli “human-rights violations” would carry no weight. So she has to prove that she has some special insight or connection — something that gives her claims credibility. That’s where grandma comes in.

The Democratic Party Fails to Condemn Antisemitic Democrats

Perhaps the most remarkable and disquieting aspect of the revelation that 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders is employing...
Rep. Tlaib wants to make it clear that she is not just some garden-variety Israel-hater. No,  she is “coming from a place of personal experiences.” Well, that’s different. She has a personal case against Israel. Now, keep in mind that Ms. Tlaib was born and raised in Detroit. Residents of the Motor City don’t have too many “personal experiences” involving Israeli policies.
So Tlaib has stretched the meaning of the term “personal experiences” in order to build her case against Israel. She means that she has a grandmother who has “personal experiences.” Somehow, that transfers to Tlaib herself.
Tlaib understands the power of grievance rhetoric. Once she says, “my living grandmother [is] in the West Bank in the occupied territories,” that changes the whole dynamic of the debate. In fact, it’s a “two-fer”: Her own grandmother is an “occupied,” persecuted person, which gives Tlaib standing; plus, it’s her “living grandmother,” so she’s a real live eyewitness, which presumably gives Tlaib’s assertions even more validity.
Except that Congresswoman Tlaib is lying.
Grandma Tlaib is a resident of the Palestinian Arab village of Beit Ur al-Fauqa. The Israeli occupation of that village ended in 1995. It has been governed by the Palestinian Authority (PA), not Israel, for the past 24 years. For the congresswoman to claim that her grandmother is “occupied” by the Israelis — and therefore a victim of persecution and an eyewitness to Israeli “human rights violations” — is simply a lie.
In the autumn of 1995, then-Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin signed an agreement with then-PA chairman Yasser Arafat, known as the Oslo II Accord. It provided for the withdrawal of all Israeli forces from the territories where 98 percent of the Palestinian Arabs reside, including Beit Ur al-Fauqa. The Israelis withdrew. The occupation ended.
Arafat agreed that a portion of the non-residential agricultural land would be assigned to the area under Israeli security control. Prime Minister Rabin requested this arrangement because that area is dangerously close to the Israeli towns of Beit Horon and Givat Ze’ev, and Route 443 — a highway where Israeli automobiles are often subjected to Arab terrorist attacks. But the residential portion of Beit Ur al-Fauqa, as well as the rest of the adjacent agricultural land, has been under the rule of the PA for more than two decades now. So grandmother Tlaib’s house is not occupied.
Maintaining the myth of “the Israeli occupation” provides a convenient punching bag for those who are hostile to the Jewish state.
Congresswoman Tlaib is absolutely right that there are human rights violations in her grandmother’s village, but they are violations committed by the PA and its leadership. For example, the PA refuses to permit grandma Tlaib and her fellow residents to vote for their town’s leaders. Beit Ur al-Fauqa has been governed, since early 1996 by a group of 11 administrators appointed by the PA. So much for Palestinian democracy.
In addition, grandma and her neighbors, like all of the Palestinian Arabs who live under PA rule, have not been allowed to vote for their national leadership, either. Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the PA, is now serving the 14th year of an initial four year-term. He has accomplished this feat by simply never holding elections for his office. I wonder why the congresswoman never speaks about that.
Please, Congresswoman Tlaib, enough with the lies. Stop lying about the “Israeli occupation.” Stop lying about the “Israeli human rights violations” that are actually committed by the PA. And for goodness’ sake, stop lying about your own grandmother.

Tlaib Should Never Have Become A Congresswoman

Did She Blow The Big Surprise? Why Are Democrats ‘Livid’ At Rashida Tlaib?
Freshman Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) went on the warpath last night. Concerning President Trump, she was quite clear what she wants to do. She wants to go in and “impeach the motherf**ker.” The media tried to ask her questions today about the remarks, she declined. From her social media posts, it looks like she has zero intention of apologizing. And why should she?  She’s part of the progressive left, they want Trump gone, and she was honest about it. It’s absurd. It’s crude. It’s not going to happen. It’s all of those things, but at least someone was honest about what they wanted to do. Well, apparently, House Democrats are “livid” at Tlaib (via Politico):
House Democrats are furious that an incoming freshman’s expletive-riddled statement about impeaching Donald Trump has suddenly upended their carefully crafted rhetoric on their plans to take on the president.
[…]
Rank-and-file Democrats, immediately fearful of the damage the comment could cause, unloaded on their new colleague Friday morning. Republicans, they argued, would hold it up as proof that Democrats are playing politics rather than pursuing genuine oversight of the president — even if the GOP never showed interest in investigating Trump scandals while it was in power.
“Mueller hasn’t even produced his report yet!” said Rep. Ron Kind (D-Wis.), referring to special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe. “People should cool their jets a little bit, let the prosecutors do their job and finish the investigation.”
“Inappropriate,” added Rep. Jim Costa (D-Calif.). “As elected officials I think we should be expected to set a high bar… It’s not helpful.”
Even Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.), who introduced an impeachment resolution earlier this week, was shocked. His eyes bulged in disbelief when a reporter read him Tlaib’s comments and he was speechless for several seconds.
After he regained his composure, Sherman said that kind of language is detrimental to the cause: “That’s not language I would use … I think the office of the presidency should be treated with respect.”
Party elders also sought to calm talk of impeachment without criticizing Tlaib directly. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), the new chairman of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, called Talib’s comments “inappropriate” and said, “We need to be patient.”
That’s the key right there: “we need to be patient.” House Democrats want to impeach Trump. They’ve introduced multiple articles over the past couple of years. This is what they want. Why? Well, because he beat Hillary Clinton. That’s the reason. The Russian collusion nonsense isn’t going to materialize. Sorry, Democrats—it’s a myth. It will never happen. It’s been over a year since Special Counsel Robert Mueller began looking into this. So far, there is zero evidence to suggest the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians. And in this town that leaks like crazy and a media that will eventually find something trying to be hidden—no one can keep a secret anymore—we would have found something. What we did find is serial incompetence among the elite media to cover this White House, who have also peddled story after story claiming to be Russia bombshells that only end up being massive nothing burgers. It’s crap. So, that being said, why are House Democrats mad at Tlaib when she said what they all want to do?

Anti_Israel Democrat Wins In Detroit

Democrat Rashida Tlaib Dances with Palestinian Flag at Victory Party

Video of Democrat Rashida Tlaib dancing wearing the Palestinian flag at a victory party emerged Tuesday evening, after she won a largely uncontested race for the open seat in Michigan’s heavily Democratic 13th congressional district.

Tlaib is one of two Muslim women elected to Congress on Tuesday, along with Ilhan Omar, who replaced outgoing Rep. Keith Ellison in Minnesota’s 5th congressional district. Ellison was the first Muslim elected to Congress. Both Tlaib and Omar have extreme anti-Israelviews. Tlaib is the first Palestinian-American elected to Congress.
In the video, Tlaib delivered a victory speech in which she acknowledged her family watching from abroad in the Palestinian Authority-administered West Bank. She dedicated her victory, in part, to the Palestinian cause: “A lot of my strength comes from being Palestinian,” she said.
After Tlaib won her primary race in August, she published several anti-Israel tweets, and re-tweeted a fan who declared that Tlaib’s “first fight was for Palestine, always Palestine.”
Tlaib explicitly supports the destruction of the Jewish state of Israel and its replacement of a unitary Palestinian state. That position caused her to lose the endorsement of the far-left group J Street — which, while often adopting anti-Israel positions, nominally supports a two-state solution.
One other Palestinian-American was on the ballot on Tuesday: Ammar Campa-Najjar, the grandson of a Palestinian terrorist who was Yasser Arafat’s deputy and was involved in the murder of 11 Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany, lost in California’s 50th congressional district.

Correction: the video was apparently recorded at Tlaib’s primary victory party, but posted on Election Day. The article has been updated to reflect that information.
