Ocasio-Cortez Is Dangerous. Even After Ridiculous Statements, Press Loves Her! Reminds Us Of Eva Peron

Steve Scalise hits Ocasio-Cortez with perfect response after her supporters threaten him

Her followers take 'radical' to a new level

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) had the perfect response for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) over the weekend after her supporters threatened him following a social media disagreement between the two opposing politicians.

What happened?

On Saturday, Scalise criticized Ocasio-Cortez after she told "60 Minutes" she supports a progressive tax of up to 70 percent.
In response, Ocasio-Cortez accused the senior statesman of being unaware of how marginal tax systems work. She then launched into a broadside against the Republican Party.
"Oh that's right, almost forgot: GOP works for the corporate CEOs showering themselves in multi-million bonuses; not the actual working people whose wages + healthcare they're ripping off for profit," Ocasio-Cortez said.
If Ocasio-Cortez's response wasn't enough, some of her supporters took the belligerence to the next level by threatening Scalise, who was nearly murdered last year by a Democratic terrorist.
Some of Ocasio-Cortez's supporters said:
  • "snipe his a**"
  • "Kick his cane"
  • "She's got better aim than [the Democratic terrorist who shot Scalise, nearly killing him], that's for sure."

How did Scalise respond?

He took screenshots of the vile threats and, replying to Ocasio-Cortez, said he would like to continue their tax debate on the floor of the "People's House," rather than engaging with her "radical followers."

Turnabout Is Fair Play

Pelosi Mocks Pence’s Religion, So GOP Rep. Literally Mocks Pelosi’s Face

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi joined the mockery of Vice President Mike Pence’s religion and found her face mocked in return.
The insults were exchanged at the Washington Press Club Foundation’s annual Congressional Dinner on Tuesday Night, the U.K. Daily Mail reported.
Pelosi was one of the four lawmakers who performed stand-up at the event that brings journalists and lawmakers together.
“Do you think Mike Pence is allowed to dine alone with a man in drag?” the Democrat asked.
Pelosi was recently a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race and her comment referenced her cameo and an interview Pence did with the Hill in 2002.

The Indianapolis Star highlighted the interview during the 2016 presidential race saying that in his 12 years in Congress, “Pence had rules to avoid infidelity temptations, or even rumors of impropriety,” following what is known as the Billy Graham Rule, according to the Washington Post.
“Those included requiring that any aide who had to work late to assist him be male, never dining alone with a woman other than his wife, and not attending an event where alcohol is served unless Karen was there.”
During the 2002 interview, Pence called this, “building a zone around your marriage.”
“If there’s alcohol being served and people are being loose, I want to have the best-looking brunette in the room standing next to me,” he reportedly said.

Do you think Pence's rule is wise?

After Pelosi’s comments on Pence, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen turned the mockery around.
“Let’s be serious — it’s tough to win legislation in Congress,” she said, according to the Daily Mail. “Many times, the process is as frozen as Nancy Pelosi’s face.”
She added, “I’m kidding, but sometimes her happy and her angry face, they’re pretty similar.”
House Majority Whip Steve Scalise also took aim at Pelosi.

“Nancy, it’s always great to break bread with you. I promise next time not to leave so many crumbs,” he joked in reference to her comment that the tax cuts were “crumbs” for Americans.
Pelosi was not the first to make fun of Pence and his religious views. Joy Behar took aim at his religion as well on “The View.”
“It’s one thing to talk to Jesus, it’s another thing when Jesus talks to you,” Behar asserted. “That’s called mental illness if I’m not correct.”

The Reason Durban And Duckworth Will Not Release The Hodgkinson Emails Is That They Agreed With Everything He Said!

EXCLUSIVE: Sen. Durbin’s Office Won’t Release Emails With GOP Baseball Shooter

Democratic Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin’s office will not release reported email correspondence with anti-GOP shooter James Hodgkinson.
An Associated Press report says, “Hodgkinson also visited the office of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, whose campaign he had worked on as a volunteer, and was in email contact with the two Democratic senators from his home state.”
The “two Democratic senators from his home state” of Illinois would presumably be Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth.
When The Daily Caller reached out to Sen. Durbin’s office, we received this comment, “Mr. Hodgkinson contacted our office to state his opinion on a variety of legislation over the years. Those emails were all given to USCP and are part of the current investigation.”
When TheDC asked for more details, or whether they planned to publicly release the emails Hodgkinson sent, no response was received.
TheDC also repeatedly contacted Sen. Duckworth’s office looking for a comment or a release of the emails, but received no response.

Should Senator Durbin's Office Be Required To Release The Emails?

Hodgkinson, a left-wing Bernie supporter, allegedly opened fire on a group of GOP Congressman practicing at a baseball field. He shot and injured Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise, and his social media presence indicated he thought Trump was a “traitor.”
